T9 Word & Battery heating issues?

hi!

i have had more verizon phones than any person should have ever have and i never had either of these problems on any of them. but to be fair, i never used t9 word till my last phone, the lg dare.

first problem is that my phone isn't learning words. i read the thread saying you have to be in ABC in order for your phone to learn words and i tried that but it didn't work. if someone can maybe explain to me how to fix this problem in a more detailed explanation. on my lg dare, i would just type the word and my phone knew it. but it is getting annoying that it won't learn words, especially my sister's name.

the second problem i am having is that my phone gets really hot when it charges. if i charge it battery down, my phone gets almo...

I had the heating problem also. I took the phone back to verizon and explained to them what was going on and they gave me a replacement battery and said if I had any other problems they would probably have to replace the phone. Well the heating issue stopped but the phone would not hold a charge so I took it back and they gave me another one. One thing I noticed immediately was that the phone takes longer to charge now than the first one that I had. I had told verizon about the phone charging in less than an hour and they told me that it should not be charging up that fast. So my advise to you would to be go and have your phone exchange for a another one. Hopes this helps, and as far as the T9 not holding words I was told they were aware of ...

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS! i just got my phone four days ago. i absolutely love it and I'm scared that its going to break and it wont be covered by insurance! the pillow problem happened to me too. it was burning up. i had to take it apart and set it out to cool off. but its working fine. Please anyone with answers HELP!
