LG enV Touch VX-11000

I have the env touch and i know you can record a conversation by holding the space bar down with the phone open. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to tell if it is recording or not.

No matter how many times I've calibrated my voice into the phone it only connects me to the right person maybe 2 times out of 5.

I say Cathy and it wants to connect me to Mom. I say NO... repeating the name doesn't help and I give up.

Any ideas??

Is it possible to transfer photos taken with the camera to a PC using the usb cable? I can connect the phone via usb and transfer music to the micro SD card, but of course the camera pictures are in the phone's internal memory. TIA

Hey guys, is anyone having an issue where the phone charges for just a few minutes to full charge from about 50% but then only lasts for about 30 mins? thanks

I'm thinking of getting this phone and I see I will need a data plan. The minimum is $10.00/25megs and I wonder how far that goes? The only thing I would use data for is checking my Hotmail occasionally. Can you give me some idea of how much data is used to visit a webpage, retrieve email messages, etc? If 10 megs is basically nothing I'd like to know that going in 🙂

I have found a web site called Zedge which lets you download music right onto your memory card and then onto your phone. Does anyone know other site which might work the same way.

I've read on here and a lot of other forums that with the Env touch you can access facebook, change your status and click "like" but that you cannot comment on statuses, etc.

Well...there is a way to do it! After you've finished typing in your comment with the phone open, close it and use the touchscreen to press post...or do it all from the touchscreen, etiher way as long as the submitting is done from the touchscreen it will post!

Just got the Touch and am figuring out how best to access my email. I have a hotmail account and I see in the mobile email section there is a entry for Winndows Live Mail. That sounds good, however there is an extra $5/month charge for mobile email. Can I just use the browser to access webmail and wouldn't this be covered by the data plan? Is there any advantage to the mobile email feature?

I OPEN THE PHONE AND HOLD THE SPACE BAR DOWN BUT THERE DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE AN INDICATOR SHOWING THAT I AM RECORDING THE CALL. THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES THIS HAS NOT WORKED. IS THERE SOMETHING I AM NOT SEEING OR HAS ANYONE COME UP WITH A WAY TO TELL THAT IS NOT APPARENT TO OTHERS????

I have several pics on my PC that I'd like to copy to the phone. When I link it and try to move the pics from the PC to the phone. It complains that they're not the correct format. So far I've tried "jpg" and "bmp" format without success. Can someone tell me which format they need to be so the phone will recognize them?

I just got an ENV Touch. I have had the Voyager and the Dare and never had this problem. When I use the touch screen to make a call a few seconds after the touch screen goes blank while the phone is still ringing. During a call I cannot get the touch screen to wake up. If I press the clear or the send button the screen is still blank and it is unresponsive. Even if I press the unlock on the side of the phone still nothing happens the screen is still shut off. If I press the end key the call will end and the screen will then wake up. If I get a text message while the phone is closed during a call the touch screen lights up and it freezes and I can't even end the call I need to open the phone and press end. my ringtones are super quiet and i can hardly hear them. any suggestions where to find loud ones!?

A FAMILY MEMBER HAS THE ENV TOUCH AND SHE WILL AT TIMES STORE TEXT MESSAGES IN THE DRAFTS TO BE SENT AT A LATER DATE. sHE CLAIMS THAT HER PHONE WILL ONLY HOLD 2 DRAFTS AT ANY SPECIFIC TIME. HAS ANYONE NOTICED THIS OR IS HER PHONE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY.

What gives with the speakers on this phone. I had the EnV and had my music on my card and it was loud. I took the card and put it in the TOUCH... They are very hard to hear at all. Even when the speakerphone is on I am having a hard time hearing anything....

My phone seems to automatically delete my Notes after about a week or so. This is very bothersome, because I often write down reference information that I intend to use for quite a while in my notepad. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Just to let everyone know there is a new update available. It is VX1105, you can get it through LG but not verizon yet. Just thought I would pass it on. Dont know what it changes because I just done it this morning and have not had a chance to play with it yet.

I've heard that Verizon did not originally require a data plan with the Touch and now they do. Is this correct? It seems to me if a data plan is required why not step up to a smart phone with Wi-Fi? I don't understand what's going on here since many phones, such as my Moto W755, can access the web and pay on a per megabyte basis.

Hi, my 3 bluetooth headsets are a Plantronics 925 and 855 and a Motorola S9...

My Plantronics 925 and 855 have the shortest range ever. Phone cannot be in any of my pockets, not even front shirt pocket, it has static at even like 3 feet line of sight unobstructed! I cannot figure this out but I had same problems with my LG Dare so I figure it is some weird incompatibility between Plantronics and LG?!?!?

btw, i experienced short range issues with my moto s9 on the Dare but not the env touch, s9 works in back pocket no issues at all on eenv touch

Can anyone with 925 or 855 confirm a different experience than mine, thanks so much!

(Sorry for my English) I looked at this model in store, but when opening the phone, I feel that the upper part is getting "locked" either too UP position or too DOWN (either too much or too little) - not in between which would be the most comfortable. Do anyone feel the same way?
