How to see my home PC

Greetings! My Verizon account is expiring in a couple months, so evaluating services. I'm going to get a XV6700 (or carrier equiv) or the Treo 700P, and really want to be able to access my home PC, mostly for pulling MP3s onto my phone, although other file transfers would be nice. Is this possible? Any particular carrier recommendations (from my experience, Verizon has best coverage, but Sprint better pricing on data)? Any advantage of running a Win mobile based PDA vs Palm for this application? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Laptop PC Card for Internet Access

I'm looking to get an internet access PC card for my laptop. I'll be using the service in Atlanta and Chicago... so all the major carriers provide service. Just wanted to know what folks thought about these services (speed, reliability, connection, etc). I'm leaning towards Tmobile since they have the best plan price (50/month unlimited). Anyone have experience with Tmobile?

Thanks for the help!

NTT Docomo gets the award for the highest DATA ARPU in the world.

Great job.

$16.60 is their number. They have a total of 23 million WCDMA customers.

their Voice arpu is very good too at $70.20.

Just wanted to say this.

EVDO phone chargeable through USB? Sprint

Hello,

I'm with sprint pcs, I need an EVDO phone because I will be using it as a modem and I have noticed that most new models of the EVDO phones' connectors are all placed to closely together, making it impossible to charge and have usb connected at the same time. So, are there any phones (other than handhelds/pda's) that charge via usb?

Data cards that will work internationaly

I am looking for a PC card to work in Mexico city and other countries. Mexico city is the main city I need data coverage.

I spoke to Cingular about the Option GT Max global card they could not guarantee coverage or speed but they did say if it worked, the cost would be .0195 a kilobyte.

I would like to know if anyone has used any data cards in Mexico city and what carrier are they using.

motorola q with laser scanner and SD card???

50 percent of my book business deals with non- ISBN books. Can i marry the media scouter concept with a cell phone with data access. My plan is to use the motorola Q with its SD slot for the mediascouter upload. Use the blutooth capability of the Q to handle the Flic Scanner. For the non-ISBN stuff i would use the cellphone data access to search the internet for the details. Is this doable? Would you be able to help me find out if the scanner works with the Q? I've heard that some companies cripple their bluetooth functions to only work with headsets; is this true?

I know that Q runs Windows Mobile, so this should do well.

Also, will the MediaScouter fit in the resolution of the screen on the Q?

I gotta question about Stereo BT headsets.

I'm thinking about buying one of these for my Samsung a950, but before I do, i'd like to know if it would work.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this?

Using Motorola SLVR as modem

Hi there,

Is there a way I can use my Motorola SLVR
as a modem for my laptop? I have the USB
cable and the Motorola Mobile Phone Tool.
I know I can get GPRS by paying Cingular.
I don't want to pay because
- I use it very infrequently
- I have tons of left-over minutes
- I don't mind the slow speed at all
(imagine my friend is driving with me on
an Interstate for 6 house and I want to
book a hotel online--- I have
all the time in the world).

Thanks

David

Motorola Q iSync compatibility

Time to start the iSync compatibility questions. Now that the whole V710 debacle has been settled, anyone know whether there is compatibility b/n the Q and iSync 2.2?

Bluetooth for Verizon V3c

Can anyone tell me how to un-lock or enable the full bluetooth capabilities of the V3c phone from Verizon Wireless. A Verizon manager said it could be done but wouldn't tell me how. Is there a code that can be entered or a secure web-site that could accomplish this?

Wi-Fi Support for Mot Q

Has anyone attempted using a SDIO Wi-Fi card with the Q?

FYI, I've used the Palm SDIO Wi-Fi card with the Palm 700w from Verizon and it works flawlessly!

E815

Sorry if this question has been over-exhausted.

Got an E815 not too long ago through Verizon. Of course, there's not much I can do with it connected to me computer. But I create a lot of music and would like to make some for my phone. I would also like to send my pictures and videos to my computer directly. A friend and I have tried to hack into the phone but weren't successful. Is there anyone here who can give me a good step-by-step walkthrough or link me to one on how to do this successfully?

Thanks
