Sprint EVDO tethered to laptop Q's?

Ok so i was looking at sprints website and going through the plans im looking at a PPC-6700, so i can use it to bluetooth to my CARPC and my laptop to connect to internet, but do i need the special "Unlimited Data Plan for Phone as Modem" or can i just get the much cheaper "Sprint Power VisionSM Access Pack" for the phone? And how can sprint tell that, you are using your phone as a modem, vice just websurfing on your phone?

If the answer to this is yes they can tell and i have to get the phone as a modem plan, is verizon a better way to go, price and service wise, i am hoping for good EVDO coverage.

Thanks
Steve

Need help to develop IR application on phone

With my company Interactees.com we develop interactive cloth. One of our shirts is one with a led display which can be programmed by IR. I am looking for a possibility to program this led display via the IR port of a phone (e.g. mine is a SE K750). Who can help me?
Thanks! (the best tip will get a free interactive shirt)

Cingular data plans for Windows phones -- differences?

Let's say I have a Cingular phone that runs Windows Mobile for Smartphones (examples: Samsung Blackjack, Audiovox SMT 5600), and let's fix things on an unlimited data plan.

Choices seem to be:
MediaNet Unlimited, $20/mo
Smartphone Connect Unlimited, $20/mo
PDA Connect, $40/mo

1) Can you confirm that all of them will work or have basic internet access (on that type of phone / OS)? I suspect so, because I know two people with the same SMT 5600, where one has the MediaNet and one got stuck paying the PDA price.

2) Do they have the same functionality? Is there something that will work under one plan but not another?

3) Is there any speed difference? Do all three support or take advantage of 3G (assuming the phone itself does...

Wireless Data Networked

I have recently purchased an aircard from Cingular and need to know how to hook up my home network to it rather than having to use a wireless router to network other computers. I am using Windows XP on both machines.

Sprint's EV-DO vs. Cingular's EDGE

Basically, which is faster, cingular's EDGE technology or Sprint's EV-DO. I heard much about verizon's EV-DO vs Cingular's EDGE. And Verizon's EV-DO is said to be a lot faster, but is it the same with Sprint knwoing they do have different coverage areas. Does anyone actually have the 8125 vs, the PPC 6700. Also does anyone the call quality as well with those two phones and how they compare.

MediaNet vs SprintTV vs VCast

How do the media services for the major carriers compare?

They all want me to sign up for a "media" package with a new phone in addition to a minutes plan. These plans seem to include some Net like components and some TV like components.

How do the carriers services compare for content?
How well do they perform?
Are they really useful and cool or just a technology that isn't there yet?

Is there a good review on the subject?

I tried playing with some of these features on a Blackjack at a Cingy store but the phone must not have been properly set up and the sales dude was clueless.

Sprint (my current carrier) has had TV for sometime for CNN and ESPN I guess but have been led to believe that reception is spotty and performance w...

for verizon, can you run multiple broadband cards off of one account?

lets say its a family plan,
the mother is the primary
the father and 2 sons are secondary
each has a laptop computer.
if each buys a card for their computer, would they each need individual accounts for the wireless broadband or would the all run off the primary account and be billed for 1 or multiple users.

does anyone have an answer for me?

thanks
