t-mobile plans

Hey all, whats the dilly? I am new too the Scoop so looking foward to hearing all the complaints. I can tell i am not the only one with CRAZY customers.

Any way i was wondering about T-mobile's new rate plans that will be coming out this month. Doeas anybody have a heads up on what they are? I am going to lose a lot of the older customers without a $19.99 plan. I guess less headaches from the Senoir Citizens.

Also, anybody have any ideas on what i can do with all my TDMA phones that i have in stock? I used to use them on Locus Mobile Pre-paid but that is know gone.

So looking foward to some feedback and will give you some of my interesting stories real soon cause we all get them everyday.

I think I finally snaped

I am so sick of hearing "Why didn't someone tell me this before? I have spent X hours on the phone with you guys, and you are just telling me this now?"
I can understand you asking me this once, I can deal with twice but for god sake enough!! I finally snaped and replied "ma'am, I am not responsible for what past people have or have not told you. All I know is I'm telling you now!" She didn't like that answer too much, but it shut her up. What did she expect me to say "Well ma'am, operator #1 didn't tell you that because they wanted to get a laugh at your expense. Operator #2 didn't tell you because well they are new and just didn't know either. Operator #3 didn't tell you because you wouldn't shut the hell up for 1 min to listen."
Rant o...

Question

Actually two.

Why do they do this?

They run around and get a list of names and send home like 20 people in the morning and now we are massively in que so we aren't even allowed to have a resource up? Why do they do this, it happens like every day. Do they have no sense of pattern recognition... hmm... if I send home 20 people in about ten minutes we're going to to be short 20 people and then it's going to be a big problem. Maybe we shouldn't send them home.

Question Two.

Is a Verizon store an ok place to work? I'm thinking about turning in an app at a Verizon store not far from my apartment and I know Verizon is good service. There's also a Cingular Store over in the shopping center near the hospital but I'd rather do Veri...

Why can't people listen, let alone think before they speak???

I am starting to question the mentality of some of the people that approach me on a daily basis.

Customer: I need a car charger for my phone.

Me: OK I would be happy to help you. What brand is your phone?

Customer: It's a Verizon phone.

Me: Uh..OK but who makes your phone?

Customer: Well I know for a fact its a Verizon phone because it says it right on the phone!

(by now I am trying not to bust out laughing)

Me: Verizon sells the phone, but is manufactured by somebody else like LG, or Nokia. Do you know who makes yours?

Customer: I don't understand why this is so hard for you to understand, I just need a charger for my !@#$ Verizon phone. You know what nevermind, you weren't much help!!

(Yeah you either!)

In t...

I Need To Vent/Rant/Have a Mental Breakdown!!

I have been working for VZW for 18 months but I was a sales rep for Sprint for 3 years so the cell phone biz is nothing new to me nor is the idiocy that plagues our industry. But the view from the technicians counter has made me really rethink my career choice.

Example: Yesterday A customer came in with her friends phone that when sold to her was in one piece..yes i said it she snapped it in half! This is not just any phone nooooo it was the Moto E815! She claimed that when she woke up yesterday morning she opened it and it just broke! To which I said ok that would be a first that I had seen with that phone but ok..There was signs that the phone had been dropped..ALOT..and yes kids there was water damage to it as well! I explained to her ...

does anyone feel like people suck

everyday that i work i always get somebody that comes up and acts like the reason that their cell phone is having problems is that is my fault.

For instance...

I just had a couple stop by and asked me why their phone just shuts off every few days, it went a little something like this...

me- what can i do for you today?

them- could you ask me why my phone just shuts off after a few days?

me- ya sure, what kind of phone do you have, and how long have you had it?

them- it's a Nokia, and i have had it for about 6 or 7 days.

me- how often do you charge it?

them- i will charge it over night, and then in a few days it will beep a few times and then shut itself off.

me- that is probably because your phone has run out of i...

more tales from the idiot side

heard a news report on Chicago radio that a guy in California got a speeding ticket that was sent to him via the mail. It was one of those new "camera" set-ups that got him, where a camera is positioned along the highway, sans officer. The camera took the picture of his speeding car & tag number. A letter was generated by a computer & sent to him with the PHOTOGRAPH of his car speeding and the date & time of the offense. The letter went on to state that he had to send in a fine of $40. The story went that the guy was so mad that he sent back the letter with a PHOTOGRAPH of two (2) $20 bills. A week later he got a letter back from the police. He opened up the letter and inside was a PHOTOGRAPH of a pair of handcuffs

Best yet...

Customer comes in with his brand new Nextel phone that he just got in the mail.

Customer, "Yeah, I just got this and have some questions."

Me: "You just purchased this? Where did you get the phone?"

Customer: "I just called Nextel and they sent it."

Me: "Why didn't you come in here to purchase the phone?"

Customer: "I don't like dealing with you salespeople, and I don't have the time to waste by coming in here."

Anyone see a problem with this picture? I hope the customer saved the 800 number that he used to buy the phone...

Customer Service Reps...attention please!

As an indirect agent I do not get access to customer's billing. Also, I cannot repair a customer's phone. And please...please...if telesales sold someone and their phone is DOA...I CANNOT PROCESS A STEP CLAIM. Don't send people into my store for me to fix problems that your company made...and expect me to fix these for free. I have overhead and the such and cannot afford to wait on these and fix your mistakes while buying customers are walking out my store. SET PROPER EXPECTATIONS!

Anyone else seen this?

Customer comes in and is looking for VZW service. Credit app...400 deposit per line. Customer said that they just spoke with Verizon landline and redid their homephone plan and the rep on the phone said it would be 125 deposit....

Credit Check Anyone???

Don't you just love people that come up, and the first thing they would like to do is check their credit to see if they get approved for cellular service.
You got basically 3 kinds of people.
The basic customers that don't realize that a credit check is run, and they've never had a cell phone before. The majority of the time they get approved.
Customers that have been paying for pre-paid for awhile and haven't tried getting approved and they decide to try running a credit. They are shocked theat they've gotten approved.
And than you get the dreaded, first words out of their mouth customers. "Can you run my credit?" 😕 You just know that it's going to be a Deposit pending...SO, your first thought is, "Man, know I'm going to waste time...

Howdy Ya'll

Thank you very much for allowing me to give Mr. C. a piece of my mind. Let me introduce myself. My name is Ang (like Angie but without the "e") I work in the El Paso Cingy call center. I love reading what you all have to say, it very much helps pass the time. Unfortunatly we have limited internet access that does not allow me to post or reply from work. 😢 Anyway, I look forward to being a productive member of this board. Nice to meet everyone! 😁

Left or Right?

Everybody knows how stupid your cell phone customers are. But what do they do when they are done yelling at you because you won't waive the activation fee? They drive home. And of course, they are the most intelligent, courteous, and professional people on the road. NO! They leave our stores and they become f*cking idiots behind the wheel. Why are these people allowed to drive?

Last night driving to the hospital, half the people pulled over to the left. HALF! How f-ing stupid can people get? Let me set this up for you: You are driving along a four lane road with a small concrete barrier that separates the two directions. An ambulance is bearing down on you. Here's what people actually do. Instead of changing lanes and stoppin...

I can't stand it when.....

When you explain something to a customer and they don't understand it so they look at their friends at laugh at you like you are the idiot. Here's how it went. White trash dude comes in (sorry but he was) He is smiling at me with his 3 teeth coyly like I am bound to jump over the counter at any minute and ravage him (shudder) He says, so when my contract is over, I wont have service right? I explain to him that of course he will have service, he will just be going month to month. He looks at his friend, laughs and says oh my God she doesn't understand what I am saying. Him and his friend start laughing and then he starts speaking to me very slowly. I am peeved at this point and have changed the tome of my voice to a deep I hate you sou...

another idiot customer tale

Customer: I want some of my food for here and some of it to go.
Me: I'll have to ring that up as two separate orders.
Customer: Why?
Me: So that the disher knows which food goes on a plate and which food goes in a box.
Customer: That's a stupid rule and I hate it!
Me: I'm sorry, but that's the only thing I can do.
Customer: Fine. I want a cheeseburger combo meal for here.
Me: Is that everything on that order?
Customer: Yes.
Me: That's the only thing that you want for here?
Customer: Yes.
Me: [ring up, tell her the price, exchange money, etc.]
Customer: Then I want a fish and more to go. [It's the name of a combo.]
Me: Would you like a drink with that?
Customer: With one, but not with the other.
Me: You want two fish and mores?...

The difference between men and women

Ok so I was on my lunch breaking sitting behind this big pink wall in our store. It is sunday so there are only two of us. Anyways, I heard the door chime a couple times but it was virtually silent in here. I figured my coworkers customer was walking in and out. I continued to enjoy my meal. (Chili's cajun chicken pasta....yum)I heard the door chime again and peeked my head out. There was like 6 guys just chilling waiting patiently for my coworker to help them. Now lets think of this situation with 6 women standing in line. Not only would they not be standing in line, rather positioned throughout the store looking at the phones, but they will be arguing with each other on who got their first. They will also periodically look at my co...

A few customer stories

I thought I would share a couple of my amuzing stories with ya'll.
A man ci because his bill was some $900 due to roaming. He claimed he was in Key West. After reviewing his bill, I noticed he was infact roaming in Jamacia. The cust kept saying "I didn't go to Jamacia, I was in Key West. Besides, my phone didn't say I was roaming." I also noticed he had made several calls to Jamacia throughout the month. When I brought this to his attention his response was "Im Jamacian, Im from Jamacia, but Ive never been to Jamacia. Besides my phone DIDN'T say I was roaming." To which I replied "well sir, you do not have the world plan!, AND if Motorola ever did make a phone that has the ability to jump over Havana and pick up a tower in Jamacia, I can as...
