Wow .. he really got away with that?

I just had to post a ridiculous event from my store today.

Apparently some random customer has been coming into the store for a past couple days, plugging his phone into the a charger intended for a cooresponding demo unit, and then LEAVING the store for an hour or two. Previously we had been unable to catch him on the way in or out, so one of the sales reps took his phone off the charger and hid it in the manager's office. When the guy came back asking if anyone had seen his phone, the biggest, scariest manager in the store took it out to him and started to explain the legal ramifications of his actions. Two words into his speech, the guy turned tail and ran from the store.

I did not make those phone calls.......

Customer comes in and is ranting about the overage on their phone bill. So I tell them that I will go over the bill with them and see what is going on...
Customer: I did not make all these phone calls and I am NOT going to pay for them!!!
*I am looking at the bill and the numbers that were charged were the same numbers that were made all month long*
Me: ok, do you know this number 555-555-5555?
Customer: umm no...
Me: Ok well this number was dialed numerous times during the month and you were not charged for this call.
Customer: Oh yea that is Billy Bob, yea I made those calls
*ok here is the good part*
Me: ok, well the charges are from you calling Billy Bob and you had gone over you min at that point. So you have told me you know th...

Motosux, our new spokesperson for wireless device insurance...

I wanted to get this thread out because I'm in the wireless insurance business, in technical support. I have the address to the original post as well as the verbiage quoted below...

https://www.phonescoop.com/forums/forum.php?fm=m&ff= ... »

so do you insurance reps make commission off of the amount of claims you deny in a day...is there a quota???

I mean, I realize that if you are on the phone and you hear them crack their phone, then there is clearly a fraud issue, but these people pay $6-$10 each month to replace a phone that is usually refurbished anyways and only costs the insurance company $100; then you charge a deductable on top of that. Its a total rip off, and I personally don't know why consumers buy into it all t

T-Mobile is here and they are monitoring us live. Everyone is going nuts. Supervisors are running around crazy......The ops manager is walking back and forth between parts of the call center trying to relay any updates......The CSRs are trying so hard not to mess up that they are forgetting basic things and getting dinged.............

so........what's different about this than any other day???? T-Mo has access to our witnessing program to watch us file claims remotely. They actually announced 2 days ago that they will be doing daily monitors. The only difference........these guys are here.....and they're wearing ties.

so while everyone digs their own grave trying to avoid getting dirty, I'm gon jus chill and watch th...

Three...hours....to....go....

Been here since 10 by myself. Only sold one phone and I've got one woman in front of me complaining how she can't get her hair to stay down, and how it's going to ruin her day...

I bet if I jumped across this counter and ripped all of her hair out of that fat head of hers her day would suck a lot more... 👿

Earlier, I had a ~20 year-old girl who COULD NOT live without her phone. It doesn't matter that she got it wet by dropping it into a big tub of "jungle juice." I mean, it was an obviously an accident, so obviously I should give her a new phone so she can fone bone her bf some more... 🙄

When she said that she "couldn't" live without her phone, I replied with, "Sure you can, people have survived without cel ...

I CAN'T TAKE IT

i step outside for my cigarette break behind the store, and as i walk around the corner, i see a woman stomp out of the store. i meet her at the door, and ask if she was helped, since everyone inside looked busy, she huffed and puffed, telliung me no, and how we all suck. i begin apologizing, and ask what she needs.

she claims that she called cingy 3 months before her enhanced warranty went out of service (which it never can if you're under contract) and dealt with customer service, instead of claims... well, she goes to styate cingy called her back 1 day after her warranty expired, and it was all our fault, and she wasn't going to let motorola warranty the phone, because she was required to send it in and get a loaner.

well, i decide...

So Tired

I just had a moment of feeling extremely tired, like I just want to lay down for two days and not get up. I don't know why I am suddenly this tired but it is lingering. I'm doing really well with sales again today, I've actually processed two more than went in too but ye gods I just want to curl up in bed. I should really learn to get more than 6 hours of sleep but I was having so much fun online last night I didn't want to go to bed.

Ask ques b4 you sign....

It amazes me how the wireless industry will go to any length to keep a customer under contract. Fortunately, I asked the right questions at Verizonwireless. This is what I learned. 1.) Billing will be done for the cost of the entire months useage regardless if you disconnect two days into your billing cycling 2.) If you change your minutes of monthly useage after a 6 month period you automatically get renewed and they extend your contract
3.) They will get $$$ ETF fee unless you stay with the same price plan from day one to the end of the 1 or 2 year you sign for

Great company - great products - lousy policies for 2006 - Billing for a full month vs prorate from the day of disconnection = $$$$for Verizonwireless and no savings for ...

It doesn't pay to gamble

I had a customer call yesterday with questions about her bill She had just migrated from AT&T and was upset that checking her voice mail took her mins. She had some overage also. I offered her a one time courtesy credit for $30 as she was never told that it would use her mins, & AT&T didn't charge for that. She instead insisted that she would make out better if I added up the mins she went over just from checking her voice mail. I told her that it would take about 3 mins for me to add up the charges, & if I went through all of that, she would have to accept that credit and the $30 one would be void. She insisted. She ended up getting a $9 credit and of course she wanted the original offer. HaHa!

Wow... elementary school kids with guns...

I just turned on Fox News on my phone and the first thing on was some breaking news from Compton where a 9 YEAR OLD (or close to that age) shot another kid (apparently on accident) on the SCHOOL BUS. Wow, our society %*#&ing sucks.

A funny story that has nothing to do with cell phones

Theres a mountain that divides our city in half. Last night we were driving over this mtn when my 10 year old son asks "Whats that big spot out there with no lights?" I tell him its the mtn by Frankling High School. My husband says "No its not, its too big, thats such & such mtn." We end up making a bet. The loser has to give certain favors for one week one demand. My son doesnt know what it is thats on the line, just that theres a bet. He speaks up from the backseat and says "Mom, I know you're right. So when dad loses, he has to give me whatever it is he's giving you."

I am apperently a Dragon... and I like socks

Before you waste your time reading this, it is just an experience I am not trying to teach or anything other than relating a story. This will not benefit your eternal welfare, just something fun to read. I am surprised I have this much time to type while selling phones... NO CUSTOMERS ANYWHERE and I am in the food court of a mall

Had a customer approach me a few weeks ago, he had the crazy look in his eye and he started sweating when he got near. I am used to being stared at and gocked at. (I was a performer in The Rocky Horror Picture Show running around in front of hundreds of people with just a thong on.... TMI) Anyway he stared at me a little while as I stared back smiling like the caged monkey I am. Finally he blurts out none too...

Just a fair warning

If I ever get my hands on the agent that screwed up this guys account & promised him all kinds of things that aren't possible, he's going down.
Last night I put in for 3 hours of pto. I get a call from a gentleman at 6:30pm, a half an hour before I am to leave. He had ported 4 numbers over from vzw into his existing account and was calling to activate the phones. To make a long story short, the agent promised him a price plan of 4000 mins for $180 total for all lines, plus free roadside assistance for 1 full year! Our 4000 min plan starts at $200 for just 2 lines, roadside is only free for 30 days. So he's upset but agrees to take the 4000 min plan at the regular rate. His existing phone number was supposed to have stayed on its same dinosa...

I just like to hear myself talk

Really, I just like to hear myself talk. That's why I am reading back this information, like your credit card and social security number, not because I want you to actually go along with me and make sure I have it down correctly. I just want to hear myself talk. Don't bother listening or checking the number against the one on you card, I get a kick out of reading it back twice and having you say yes then having my computer tell me it's not even a valid credit card number. And please, get mad at me because I didn't get it right the first time when, it helps me learn and grow and be a better rep if you scream at me because you weren't listening. Better yet. Don't.
