I am writing in response to your request for additional information. In block number 3 of the accident reporting form, I put "trying to do the job alone" as the cause of my accident. You said in your letter that I should explain more fully, and I trust that the following details will be sufficient:
I am a bricklayer by trade. On the day of the accident, I was working alone on the roof of a new six-story building. When I completed my work, I discovered that I had about 500 pounds of brick left over. Rather than carry the bricks down by hand, I decided to lower them in a barrel by using a pulley which, fortunately, was attached to the side of the building, at the sixth floor.
Securing the rope at ground level, I went up to the...

WASHINGTON — If improving science and math education is suddenly a national priority, someone apparently forgot to tell the parents and the students.
In a new poll, 57% of parents say "things are fine" with the amount of math and science being taught in their child's public school. High school parents seem particularly content — 70% of them say their child gets the right amount of science and math.
Students aren't too worried, either, according to the poll released Tuesday by Public Agenda, a public opinion research group that tracks education trends.
Only half of children in grades six to 12 say that understanding sciences and having stron...

Liquid Dama-- er, um... "Colour-Shifting Paper" for sale.
Okay, I was presentd with the idea of selling pre-cut packages of the color shifting paper used in the liquid damag indicators most phones use. I mean, the LDI is the first thing we check for on handsets. There not that hard to have manufactured, either the red dot ones of the crosshairs for the samsungs. I wonder if there would be any real market for these.
reason this thought was brought up. A customer came in, phones backlight went out. checked thier phone, LDI was removed from both battery and phone. I guess this guy had the same idea, there was just a piece of white paper where the LDI should have been. First thing that caught my eye was that it was smaller then the one for th...

what do you mean no deposit???!!???!?
So, eager for a sale, I ran her credit. It came back as approved with no deposit. The discussion that insued went something like this:
Me: good news, youre approved with no deposit.
Customer: What do you mean no deposit?
Me: You can get the phones and you wont have to pay a deposit. Let me go ahead and activate them for you.
Customer: But why no deposit?? How come??
Me: Well your credit is apperently good.
Customer: Well, then I only want one phone then. He can get his own phone ...

Are you freaking kidding me right now!?
Dude comes in YELLING on his phone - not mad just loud - his lady friend (I assume wife she knew his SSN) is telling him to get off the phone and is talking to me about getting him a plan and porting his number. Cool, a sale, I like that. I'm showing them the plans. They keep sidetracking on EVERYTHING I mention. OK cool, I know my stuff, lets talk about EVERY feature you've ever heard of. THEN dude keeps interrupting me mid sentence to ask about a phone. No problem, I know the phones alright too. You apparently didn't like that feature. Whatever. Asks m...

Know what you can do.
So I had to call Cust. Service yesterday to relocate a customer. No problem, it happens all of the time. It tends to be a little lengthly, but typically, its done in 10 minutes or so. What lengthens the process is if the Rep on the other end of the phone from me doesn't know what their system can do. I went through 3 different reps before I got started.
Rep 1.
Initially had no problems. Found out her system was being updated and didn't have access to everything she needed. (I don't know quite all about that, but whatever.)
Rep 2.
Tells me that she cannot access number in her system because it is an old ATT number and has not been ported over to Cingular. (Though I'm looking ...

Is it that difficult?
Ok, let me start over a bit and explain.

INSURANCE - a crash course for your concerns and misconceptions
First off, we do not actively void claims. We get paid hourly and it doesn't make a difference to us either way if you get your phone. I know it sounds cold, but I don't really care. It makes it so you have a fair chance when you call in. The quickest way to make an insurance CSR want or not want to help you is your attitude. If you call in and are a respectful, reasonable, and calm person, I will do everything I legally can to help you out. If the first words that come out of your mouth are loud, angry, and include cursing, I will do as little as possible to help yo...

Am I going to be retarded?
Late one night my crew was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on a windy back road. When we got there, there were two patients, an 18 year old girl and her 17 year old friend. They crashed less than a mile from the drivers home, on a particularly sharp curve. Here's why they crashed: On approaching the curve, the driver decided that she needed to light a cigarette and change the radio. She was so preoccupied with doing BOTH of these at the same time, her car slid off the road and struck a tree.
Let me repeat that. On icy roads, at night, on a r...

why students fail
Here are the explanations check that out. I like it very much because it is true...!!!
It is no fault of student because a year has only 365 days.

The benefits of carrying general electronics.....
So, our customers think we are experts in all electronics..... salesperson = technician, right?
Anyway, I get back to my store from shoveling the sidewalks (stupid Wisconsin weather) and I overhear this conversation between a fellow employee and a customer on the phone:
"uh huh... yeah.... well you really don't want to open up your TV because it is very easy to kill yourself by doing so..."
And, of course, being the evil person that I am, I acted like I was being electrocuted....
I really don't know how he managed not to bust out laughing while on the phone... 😈
