Gawd, just die already and face God!

So, I've got this reverend something or other here who bought a Treo 700 from me like 3 weeks ago, and he was having problems with his Wireless Sync, and is now threatening to return it because, and I'm quoting, he claims that "I gave my Treo 650 to my friend and he deleted all the contacts on my 700 with it!". Right. Sir, your own idiocy is not my fault. It's also not Verizon Wireless's fault. Perhaps you could blame...God? Where was he when you accidentally deleted all your contacts? WHERE'S YOUR GOD NOW???!

What the hell is with people today???

Just about every one of my 14 calls so far is people complaining about how high their bills are and how sprint is ripping them off, the charges are valid, the customers are being dumb with their phones, and everyone wants credit. I'm about to start telling them to take it up with their congressman.. 👿

CS strikes again

Just had a customer come in telling me his phone needs to be flashed. I told him I can't do it because I'm an agent store with no equipment for flashing or no technicians. Then, being smart, I asked what the problem was. He had a 5200 that wasn't getting into GIN or sending PIX messages.

A quick look at the account and I noticed that the PIX messaging option was not on his number. On top of that, the 5200s sometimes have to be OTAed twice for the data features to work. I put the feature on and programmed the phone...and wow...everything works without a software flash.

Now...I've had CS add and remove features on my personal account before I worked for my agent store. The PIX option is a basic option. Why, if the CS rep bothe...

I am the Anti-Blackjack.

I work for a Cingular agent, and I just got in my first set of Blackjacks. Or should I say Whackjacks? Because these things are freaking WHACK.

First of all, let me speak to the TWO batteries that come with it: You'll need them. I was playing with the Blackjack for about 3 hours before the battery died. Three hours. Ahem. THREE!? Hey, what the heck am I supposed to do with three hours?

The camera is laggy. And not like, "normal lag" - I'm talking about some "Back To The Future" deal here. It's insane! How the heck am I supposed to snap a photo of anything if the screen won't stop being blurry?

The good news is it's HSDPA capable. The bad news would be if you plan on using Cingular Video, you likely won't hear much of i...

6700 vs 8125

Is there a big difference between the 6700 and the 8125? They look like they do the same thing.

Why don't you tell them about upgrade fees?

Why is it like a 1 in 3 chance that if you upgrade through customer care you will be stuck with upgrade fees without being told about them, or you'll be given vision/voice command/unlimited text that's 'free' when really it's free for the first month, then you have to call and cancel it if you don't want it (which the CS rep conveniently leaves off). I have had four customers in two days with vision they say they never asked for that they got when they called in about a simple bill question.

Verizon tops Consumer Reports cell phone ratings!

Tuesday, December 05, 2006

Verizon topped the rankings of cell phone providers in Consumer Reports' fifth annual survey. But Alltel Wireless and T-Mobile are giving Verizon a run for its money, the magazine said Monday.

That means customers have more than one good choice for a service that has become essential to many people. The cell phone has become a platform for music downloads, video clips and Internet access, as well as simple calling.

But Consumer Reports said the industry still has low satisfaction rates overall, putting it in the company of cable providers and computer tech support.

The biggest gripes: dropped calls and service that doesn't work at home. Call quality was a bigger issue than price for consumers who swit...

Phone book number transfers from old phone to new one

Just wondering if anyone could suggest a good software package to use to do number transfers for customers. This is a service that a lot of customers would be interested in and I can't find a good software to use. The more universal the better. Price doesn't matter I just need something to get this done for my customers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DataPilot software

Has anyone used this software? I now know the best way to transfer the phone info is using the cellebrite machine but that might be a little to high priced for what we are looking for right now. I was just wondering what anyone thought of the DataPilot product.

Another stupid insurance person

So somehow, in the span of one week, we've seen this twice. Someone broke their phone, called insurance, was told that there was a $50 deductible, got angry, and cancelled their insurance. So instead of getting a replacement of their $200+ phone for $50, they're stuck paying the full $200+ price or getting a crappy pre-paid as an alternative, and that will still cost them $50 or more, depending on which model they get. I love watching people deal with the consequences of their own stupidity.

Worst excuses for broken phones

This is a new one to me:

Customer: this phone got so hot in my hand that I dropped it and it cracked the screen. This is a problem with the phone and I want a new one.

me: thats crazy

thats all i could really say

i've also heard this one, which used to be my favorite untiltoday

Customer: I don't know how my sreen got broke, I just woke up and it was like this

or

Customer: I don't know how my phone got wet. Do you think that it was because its cold outside?

I'm curious to see what excuses everyone else has heard.

"Do you have any crappy phones?"

A lady walked in my store and said that. I replied, "I have cell phones."

"Yes, but do you have any little crappy ones?"

"I've got new phones if that's what you're asking. Not any 'crappy' ones."

Terms and Conditoins

Why do people get so defensive when reading the terms and conditions? If their phones are not physically or liquid damaged, then why are they upset? Do they have something to hide?

Expensive phones just for talking? WTF?!

If this has been asked before, please forgive me, but I must ask: Why the hell do people buy 600-700 dollar phones to ONLY talk on them?
