syntax matters

I have had 4 people pissed off at me today because a rep on the phone told them to go to "any VZW store" and they'll give you this for free or that for free.

In one case, corp promised to swap out phones for a family who had 3 RAZRs. They hated them. They took them to service and service said said there is nothing wrong with them. Basically, they sat around and didn't exchange on time, so corp is bending over. These people beat the piss out of their phones. I would have refused to take them back even if they bought them here in the first place and were within their trial period(which they didn't). Good luck corp...

In 2 other cases, people bought phones online because they broke their phones and they wanted phone books transfer...

Just my opinion

For those of you who have been in the biz for awhile......you might recall the days of customers having the option of at least a dozen different plain jane phones to choose from....meaning just a phone to make a call...candybar and flip styles. Than somewhere along the way.....the manufacturers started pumping out camera phones and the phone to just make a phone call became fewer and fewer to choose from. I dont even remember a big demand for a camera phone....it is my opinion the maufacturers created the market for their product and carriers assisted in this by offering very few other options. So fast forward to the here and now. Instead of cameras, which is standard now......you MP3's are becoming the latest thing. I am alright with i...

M: Thank you for calling _______. How may I help you?

C: Yes, I wanted to know if I had to make my monthly payment to T-Mo if I am porting my number to your company?

M: ๐Ÿ˜ณ Yes sir, unless you want them to send it to a collection agency.

Why in the heck would someone think they didn't have to pay their bill?! ๐Ÿคจ

I am the customer from hell

I went to my favorite place to get a pizza yesterday and flipped out on one of the managers about training their employees.

This new girl was left alone to manage to counter and everything else. (small deli) She baked my pizza multiple times and every single one she couldn't get out of the pizza pan. She kept shoving the utensil she was using straight through the center and out the top.

Day of the Douchebag

Is it just me, or are ALL customers being complete tools today?

We just had a guy try to return a phone he bought from telesales in the store. So we followed procedure, and got on the phone with Sales Support, and they informed the customer that he wasn't eligible to return the phone at the store...What does he do?

Throws the phone at the rep and walks out.

His buddy grabs the phone and brings it out to him, and next thing we know, he throws it on the ground in front of our store and starts kicking the box around 'til everything spreads out on the ground...

Good luck returning it now, jerk!

Claim a phone that doesnt exsist.

some customers are sooo retarded that they report phones as lost or stolen that dont even exsist. Honestly (I work for nextel) dont argue with me and tell me that there is a such thing as an i890. when there isnt good luck trying to get the phone covered w/ insurance when it doesnt work.

at&t is NOT a telecommunications company.

A while back, when they were discussing the merger, the inhabitants of the Death Star revealed their mission statement for the new at&t. Number 1 on the list was ENTERTAINMENT. I posed the question since it seemed odd to me, "shouldn't it be telecommunications" since at&t IS the Largest and most respected name in telecommunications right? I mean, that's why we're switching names right. And our bitch, I'm sorry....our RAE that we've had for 7 years looks me right in the eye and says, " We are NOT a telecommunications company." and she was dead serious. I couldn't believe it, I mentioned since they started the "fewest drop calls" advertising, dropped calls were out of control. She told me at&t wasn't concerned with voice customers anymore,if p...

Q question

Hello all,

I have a question and I went searching the Q forum but could not find what I was looking for.
We have a customer that needs to have a PDA/Smartphone with Java. We were thinking they would like the Q, but we are not certain it will for them. Does anyone know if the Q can get Java on it and use Java apps?

We live in a smaller town and don't deal with PDA's very often. We called to VZW care and were not successful in getting an answer.
I would appreciate any info. Thanks!!

Check this one out...

OK there is this guy that calls in late night he goes in a sorta perverted country accent
"Can I be transfered to the Post-Paid customer care?"

So the first and second time around I didn't think anything of it. Then I get him again(third time in one night, the same caller? Very rare unless they call a lot like this guy does) So I follow him(confrence call) and a girl rep picks up and all of a sudden, he starts hick-uping. Then they ask for his info and he acts like he is looking for the number but at the same time he is asking the rep "...**HICK-UP** When was the last time that you had the hick-ups??" and the girl rep is talking to him about hick-ups, then all of a sudden he hangs up. So later that night I got him again "Can I be transf...

Why didn't I check the caller ID?!

So this one particular man calls our store on a daily basis, usually multiple times. Normally, we'd be happy to answer any questions for him, but there's a snag: he's "special."

"hhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii !!!"
um... hello?
"a PHOOOOONE! Nard PHONE!!!"
is that so?
"Yah. Isa no Isa go to bus and PHOOOOOONE!"
that fast, huh?
"Yah. PHOOONE jerkyl. Powder and PHOOONE"
we'll actually need you to come the store to do that.
"OK. BYEEE"

....last time I don't check the caller ID before answering the phone.

Pet Pevee

I wish to god people would just answer the question I ask... there is a reason, a very good reason, I ask the way that I do...

So when I say "Can you please spell your first name as it appears on your credit card." All I want is the SPELLING OF YOUR FIRST NAME... I don't want your full name "Sarah Michelle Smith" Or even just "Sarah" I asked for the spelling because I need the spelling... Additionally spelling your entire name "S-a-r-a-h-m-i-c-h-e-l-l-e-s-m-i-t-h" is also less than helpful and NOT what I asked for.

Clean the ear wax out of your ear and listen for the love of all that is no painful!

Idiot.

WOW!

So apparently there's no reason for you to actually pay your bills, you should be able add lines to your account even if you haven't already paid for the ones you currently have.

Seriously, this woman wanted to add a line to her family plan but her account wasn't just past due, it was delinquent (as in service suspended for non-payment... on regular accounts we don't do that unless you like a month past due.) And she was not planning on even paying her bill for at least another week.

Honey, you don't need another line if you can't afford to pay for what you currently have.

Why is it that...?

Customers claim to not be "tech" savy but they can go on to the Carrier's Website... activate or upgrade their service but not know how to FOLLOW THE FREAKEN INSTRUCTIONS TO ACTIVATE THEIR SERVICE!!?!?!?!

๐Ÿ‘ฟ

If you get your phone on line... then I am assuming you can read. If you can read... then activate your own damn phone.

Am I the only one who gets annoyed with that?

T-mobile Reps...

Okay, so as some of you know, I currently work for Cingular Wireless doing Warranty Exchanges. I just went on a job interview yesterday for t-mobile for the Retail Sales position, and I was wondering if I could get some feedback? Like, how do you like working there, is the pay good, is it easy to make your quota and make money?

Just hoping I'm not making a big mistake! Thanks.
