You guys sell Verizon?

Had this lady come up to my kiosk, look up at the sign, look at me and ask "You guys sell verizon?" (Duh...) "Yes we do." "Great!!! I need to change my price plan!" "Ok, no problem. Whats your mobile number?" :😛unch in mobile number and last 4 of SSN#:: I said "Well it looks like it's not pulling up. LEt me just verify your number. It's XXXXXXXXXX, right?" "Yea that's it. You sure you guys are Verizon? I need to change my plan. I have Helio. Why won't it pull up?" 😳 "Ummm... Helio and Verizon are 2 seperate companies..." "Well, so? Why the h#ll can't you pull up my account? I just need to change the plan!" I told her she needed to call Helio or find a kiosk that sells Helio. She gave me a dirty look and walked off with her daughter. True...

Sorry you got ripped off by your friend...

...I love it, someone bought a phone from a friend. It doesn't work, so they bring it in and we look at it. Liquid damage all over! Somehow thats our fault they bought a crap phone from someone. They wanted to know why we couldn't do anything, or wouldn't call their friend and make them pay for the cost of a new phone. I love it.

Ghetto mall

So this is how ghetto my mall is that i work at.
Some guy is running after this other guy, they wrestle for a little bit (this is all in the main hallway), one runs away, the other goes to lay down on a bench.
What's so ghetto about that, you may ask?

Well...
The one going to lay on the bench is bleeding!! 😲
Apparently, the other guy stabbed him in his inner thigh!
The blood spurted everywhere, leaving a trail about 30 feet long.
His shoes were completely covered in blood, and they had to cut his pants off.

$4300 Phone Bill

Okay, I have never seen a bill this high. but this is like the 5th outrages Amp'd mobile bill I have seen this month. Customer was told he had Unlimited txt, min, and data. Obviously not true.

worst part is he wanted to port his # and amp'd won't release it.

Has anybody else seen these type of charges on amp'd?

Karma

About an hour ago this guy came up to my kiosk. He washed his phone. He just got it in August and isn't due to upgrade again until May '08. As I'm showing him the selection of phones that he may purchase at retail price (because he was too cheap to insure his phone to begin with) his monster/daughter starts hitting me -- seriously smacking the crap out of my leg. So this guy is like "Oh honey, that's not nice." I was about to kick her, but she ran off (being the good father he was he just let her).

At this point he goes into this big long drawn out b*tch session about how he just needs to buy a new phone. Then I show him our least expensive model and he proceeds to freak out because it's $150. He started laughing and telling me t...

Wow, must be nice.

From RCR Wireless, written by Mike Dano:

--According to a variety of media reports, Sprint Nextel’s CEO Gary Forsee made $21.3 million last year. For those of you keeping score, that number includes $1.44 million in salary, $10.1 million in stock awards, and $8.37 million in options awards (don’t ask me why those numbers don’t add up to $21.3 million). Now here’s some fun math: If you take Sprint Nextel’s fourth-quarter ARPU ($60) and put it into CEO money terms, it took almost 30,000 Sprint Nextel customers to pay for Forsee. So essentially, Gary Forsee is worth 30,000 customers. Isn’t math fun?

Are you @^(#ing kidding me?!?!?! (Long, need to let it out.)

I hate people... thoroughly.... The stupid ones even more... I had a call today, this lady that owns a financial planning firm, and granted, DOES deal with some pretty big people I'm sure, calls in about a call that was left on her voicemail for the general line. It was a call from a collections agency about one of her former employees past due balance on the account. The customer in question had provided that number as a number we could contact her at. Of course that was all I could say, but advised that it would be ok if I removed it since our systems allow us to call multiple numbers and since this woman didn't work there anymore, it wouldn't be a good contact number anyway. She said that's fine, but I need to talk to a supervisor. Again,...

I love it when...

I'm busy on a PC and a customer comes up to the kiosk (out of my view) and just stands there until I turn around. They could be standing there for minutes and not say a word. I can't enough of that crap, I just love it. 👿 God forbid you say "excuse me". /rant

Man returns phone to carrier... without leaving car

When we talk about phone use leading to traffic incidents, this is not typically what we mean. It seems a gentleman in Korea -- we'll simply call him "Kim," since that's the only name we have for him -- got just a little upset when his shiny new Samsung handset still wasn't working after sixteen calls and two in-store visits to carrier SK Telecom.

What really set the dude off, though, was a SKT employee suggesting that the phone be replaced with a different model when the original was out of stock (what nerve!).

Next thing you know, Kim...

Need some advice.

Ok on a serious note. The company I work for is having some serious issues right now. I just came back from a mini vacation today to find out that the entire payroll system is done nation wide. That means nothing can be keyed in at all. Well the report we have also heard is that our regular time from clocking in and out is not even guarenteed we will get paid for that next week either. Now here is the kicker. The expected wait time for this to all be resolved? How about a couple of weeks. The word from above is telling us that it probably will be a couple weeks before everything is back up and running. This isn't the first time this has happened unfortunately. The last time I had to threaten to go to some certain people because they wanted t...

Dear internet and telesales.

If the customer buys the phone from you, that's your customer, not mine. Do NOT, I repeat, NOT send them to a store for "free" services such as replacing a SIM or activating the phone or transferring the phonebook.
