They say that the devil is in the detail and to always read the small print. Well, if your ISP happens to be Verizon and youโ€™re on the EVDO Wireless Data Service, this is great advice. Read their Terms of Service and you will see; P2P is banned, as are streaming services such as YouTube. And the โ€˜Unlimitedโ€™ transfers you were paying for? Forget those too, 5gig a month is the limit.

c: how do i turn the 3g on my phone on so its on all the time?

m: well sir you phone automatically finds the 3g. its not going to be on 24/7 only if your in the 3g area then it switches to edge.

c: i know that but i want it on all the time.

Amazing

So, it's Easter HELL today.

The raging incompetents who run the Eighth Circle decided, in their complete lack of wisdom, to send home about a dozen of the Telesales agents and a handful of our team as well.

When they did that the Telesales line was only 5 available (I know this because the ... GAH ... had me in the Telesales cue before I even logged in.) So of course we went 7 - 8 deep in cue right away and stayed there for 4 FREAKING HOURS. I took nothing but Telesales calls as well because these nimrods sent home the people who are supposed to take these calls and left people who haven't even been trained in that department for upward on six months to carry the load...

But that was just the start of the day. Today I had a calle...

Question for Cingular reps

I'm looking for a new phone for my own use. I'd like it to have all the good features (Bluetooth,megapixel camera/video,speakerphone), but also be reliable. Also, I'd like one that has MP3 player on it as well. I am partial to Motorolas. Any ideas?

i880 and iTunes

I was able to transfer my iTunes onto my memory card, but I think I am forgetting a step...Anyone know how to do this?? First I get the music I want then open my F: and copy and paste. I also have been told not to save music with spaces in between words and under 15 characters. I am soooo frustrated by it not working........HELP!! ๐Ÿ˜ข ๐Ÿ˜•

I hate the internet

Most of the time, my store offers the same price or cheaper prices than the internet on new activations. Upgrades aren't even close most of the time. The internet can undercut my prices by as much as $200. I've had 4 people come in today that start talking to me by saying, "I want to upgrade my phone. I saw this deal on the internet..." After I inform them of my prices and that I can't price match what's on the internet, they continue to press me about how much better the internet is than my store. You know what? If you feel that way, fine. Say something like, "Thanks, I'll be back." Get out of my store if you don't want to do business here. Don't sit here and explain to me and my other customers that my competition is cheaper when...

I'm lovin' it!

So a customer comes in to have me check out the voice dialing on her RAZR because it's not working properly. I open the phone and I'm greeted by Ronald McDonald doing very unnatural things to the Wendy's girl. She had to know what was on there, but she didn't even flinch when I opened it. How's everyone else's day going? ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿคฃ

Doncha love grandpas!

Sold a phone Tuesday (actually two) to a grandpa and he bought a slider remix for his grand child. He was our last customer of the day, and we close at 5:30. I did tell him that it would be smart to have insurance and he did agree with me. Good thing, too.

Wednesday morning around 11, grandson comes in wanting me to replace his phone. Seems he dropped it in a puddle and now it doesn't work. I ask to see it. sprint-nextel hybrid hold times

Am I the only one pissed off with the hold times with the sprint-nextel hybrid dealer line. As a legacy nextel dealer they are pushing us to sell the hybrid and I sit on hold for 30 minutes to activate and then it is hit or miss if you get someone that knows what there doing.

Ok... I just had a customer leave here that tried to steal my pen... FIVE TIMES...

Everytime i came back from the back room i would either hear them talking about how nice my pen was or it had moved closer to the customers side of my desk...

Piece of Junk!

I had a guy come in this morning with his wife's phone. He tells me it's a piece of sh***, it doesn't work, she charged it all night and it won't do anything, and it's only been 35 days. I took the phone and popped the battery out to check for liquid damage. There was none, so I put the battery back in and turned it on. I started doing a program update on it and he looked at me absolutely stunned.

"It works now? What'd you do? It wouldn't do anything this morning. The screens were both blank."

"Well, I'm doing a program update now, but it's working fine." I did a quick call to my store phone, and sure enough, no problem.

"Well, how'd you get it to work?"

"I just turned it on. It's working fine."
