wish I was with sprint right now...

I have this guy who comes in every week to complain about his phone. I tell him every week that I can't do anything other than sell him a phone a full retail. I even took his phone to service for him once on my own time. There was nothing wrong with the phone.

Well, about 2 months ago, the guy dunked his phone in the toilet. He came in and wanted to upgrade. What he didn't realize is that one of the many times he called customer service to complain, they transferred him to a sales team who processed his upgrade and sent him a new phone.

SOOOOO...I tell him all of this and he's mad as hell. I told him he could turn his old phone on or buy one a full retail. He opted for retail and I even gave him a discount from our normal retai...

That's all well and good but...

You're account is still delinquent. Just because you 'made an arrangement' to pay does not mean it's not still WAY past due. It just means you said you'd pay us Friday.

I'm still not able to bill to your account when you owe us money... and you most defiantly owe us... a lot of money.

Seriously... I do NOT understand how people can let their bills slide like that and then expect special services.

We cant possibly

We can't possibly be the only retail/service industry that has customers that

1. Feel that telling us about their personal problems qualifys them for free stuff

2. Feel that since they are paying for monthly service they should get free stuff.

3. Whine and act like little kids when they are told they are responsible for charges hey ran up themselves.

I bet insurance companys and hospitals probably have to deal with this sillyness too.

Woman, you try my patience

Gawd almighty, I want to strangle this woman.

She keeps cutting me off.

She's not listening.

I'm trying to help her order bumpers for her Sidekick iD...

She is on the web site where the accessories page lets you pick what phone you have (not want, but have) so you can get a listing of accessories that will work with your phone.

She can not seem to grasp that just because it is listed on that page, that does not mean we sell them.

I've told her three times, that pink Sidekick was a Sidekick 2 (which we no longer carry) and limited edition to boot (so sold out a LONG time ago) and she keeps getting upset and saying she wants to buy that phone.

Stupidity 101

Ok, this is a long one

A little over a month ago I have this lady coming in and looking to buy a Treo. She came by the store a few times and I spent a LOT of time with her. She was with another carrier at the moment and although she had a Treo, she couldn't get online or receive emails or something and they told her they couldn't do anything about it. So anyway, she comes in on a friday afternoon at 4h30 (I leave at 5) and tells me that she wants the phone. Alrighty. So we work everything out, she knows she's paying the ETF with the other carrier but she doesn't mind (like 27 months or something, ouch). We set everything up and she's as happy as a kid in a toy store at Christmas.

am i a bad employee?

ok i hate my job...start off with that. not selling the phones, or even the mean custys (cuz its my fault), but the fact that i have to deal with all of that and not get paid my commission. i get 1200 a month before taxes for 15 days of work (11 hour days). any extra days i work, which is a lot cuz like 4 people quit, i dont get paid (except the commision i make). however, in order to get paid on commision i have to hit 40 points (highest in my mall right now is me and i hit 30 last month). so now that ive vented on my situation, am i an asshole if i take a job with another carrier and put in my two weeks? im nervous becasue they have no one to work and i dont want to screw them, but other people that quit said they will screw me in a ...

Looking to get a job in the wireless industry

Hello everybody. I have a question. I want to work at a cell phone store. What is the youngest age that I could be hired? I'm 14 but I know tons about cell phones and really want to work in a store. The closest I got was Best Buy's wireless department at 16. Anything else?

me: I am sorry sir what seems to be the problem,

"this crappy phone wont do anything, i needed to make an important call and couldn't get it to work, if this is the service i can expect i don't need the thing, cancel my service i am going somewhere else.

I'm working by myself all day and of course we are busy. But its mainly customer service stuff. It would be different if I was making money. Oh well, only an hour and a half left.

Is it just me or is it crazy hot today!? !? Some of the overly large people are in and they stink from all the sweat thats pouring off of them and the lack of proper clothing! I swear some PEOPLE!!!

T-Mobile Job Questions

I'm currently looking at applying for work in the Chicago area for T-mobile. I have a couple questions though...
1. What is the differance between an Event Rep and a Retail Sales Rep?
2. How is the commission structure, is it a good company to work for?

ATTN Sprint Reps (Quick Question)

I was bored the other day and getting impatient about getting to play with the 6800 more so i checked my pending orders in Backoffice and alas no mogul... however i did see a relativly large shipment for the Sanyo 8500... what the hell is it? I havent heard anythng about it and ph scoop doesnt have any info on it either...

top of the morning to ya

so im in a kiosk location in a mall right...

there is this group of people from India that a making a point to walk to every cell phone place in my wing and ask if they are open.

you would think they would get the point after 1 place, but still asking after 4 places. why don't you just wait patiently like all the other idiots that are here 30 min prior to the mall opening.

i have a feeling this day is going to be, help out Mr. and Mrs. Dee da Dee

I have trouble with this...

We just finished a conference call and my mind is blown. The questions that came out of the mouths of other reps blew my mind. I can see why so many customers have problems at stores. I can only hope that these people were new reps to the industry. I doubt it, but I can only hope. If you have to deal with customers face to face, why wouldn't you want to know everything you can? It saves so many problems in the end.

Nice try...

This spring/summer has been the driest in years. I find it funny that after a weekend with rain, I've had 4 people come in with corrosion on/in their phones. They all claim that they didn't do anything to get the phone wet. After showing them the evidence, 3 out of the 4 admitted talking or standing in the rain for extended periods of time with their phone. The last guy denied everything. Nice try...

I have to share this

On an escalated call today, while the customer was chewing me out for his line of service having Premium Text services on it, that he "never requested". He actually said to me "What are you, stupid?"

To which I replied, "There is no need for personal insults, sir"

Then he replied with something that I don't think I'll ever forget.

"You ARE stupid aren't you boy? S-T-U-P-D!!"

I couldn't continue the call cause I was laughing too much, so I put him on mute and let him think I hung up, untill he released the line.
