and needed to purchase a new phone but isn't eligible for an upgrade, so was looking at retail price for any phone...i sold him my razor for $100 😎 👀 🤣

So I should be closed now, but this lady locked her keys in the car and it's going to take 45 minutes for the tow guy to get here to break into her car. It's really hot out and she wants to wait in my store with the AC on until she can get in her car. There really is nowhere else for her to wait other than outside next to her car. I'm generally pretty heartless, but I can't seem to muster up the indecency to kick her out so I can go home. This sucks.

Anything interesting happen on friday? I know mine was just another regular friday...

Friday the 13th was really good to me... I won $45 gambling, I got asked out on a date, and all of my customers were supremely nice.

Saturday the 14th I could really do without. To start, some guy backed into my car in the 7-11 parking lot. Another guy spilled his coffee all over my new shoes. And my first customer called me a whore...

Its going to be a VERY long day...

Little old lady comes in and is sweet for once. Refreshing compared to the usual pain-in-the-ass older customers that walk in. She had an extremely old phone and the screen just went out on it. She was looking to buy a new phone but at retail since her husband used up her upgrade for his phone a few weeks ago.

First thing i did was open it up and check for water damage. None, although she did mention how she accidentilly put it through the washer AND the dryer. Strange that it didn't show on the phone. So i just removed the sim and battery, put em back in and started asking if she was paying insurance when it came back on perfectly fine.

She was ecstatic. I warned her that it was probably on the way out but i was glad i could help....

I work in an ATT call center and im pretty much sick of it. I want a new job so bad.

Now im just kinda thinking about it, and since i pretty much know everything about att (i take supervisor calls, get up and walk to call center and answer questions, and do training) i just need a more social job. i used to like the call center thing, but i really think i could make a killing selling phones.

I know practically everything about every phone...

how does ATT cor employees pay system work? i think im going to go to a store and mess with them a bit and see if they are looking for any help.

The only thing i would rather do is wait a couple months, become a team lead or trainer, right now since ive excelled so fast at this job it would k...

Visitant and daughter (about 11) walk in and start asking about phone pricing. I look up the account, and they aren't eligible for renewal until late sept. So they start asking about phone prices. I tell them that they are marked on the phones, and that by Late Sept, the prices will have changed several times and that there is no way I can know what they will change to...

C- So will they go down?

me- No way for me to know

C- They won't go up, will they?

me-no way for me to know.

C- Well you don't know nuttin, do you?

me- Sir, I don't even know what all the prices are going to be on Monday, much less what they will be in 4-6 months. So I guess I don't know anything.

C- So will they have a special promotion?

me- 8...

So I live now in a pretty large city and drivers are freaking INSANE (I'm from a small town.) But I was on the highway coming to work and there was a Lexus SUV behind me. We were both in the left hand lane, having just finished passing a big rig and I usually stay to the left since I like to go about 75 and it's a 70 zone so I am usually passing somebody.

Well the Lexus and I were keeping decent following distances, both with each other and the car in front of me when this little VW with dealer plates pops into the (at the time clear) right hand lane and starts screaming up on us... he had to be going at least 85, probably 90.

Well that annoyed me, I'm obnoxious at times and I was not about to let him drop in front of me where there ...

..is what this customer was telling me. 🙄
he was upset because according to him we had no coverage in his area yet he managed to get an att phone.
he said he was advised by a sup that the etf would be waived since he didnt have service.
well as most of you may have guessed the notes from the last rep he spoke with stated the exact opposite, that he would be charged the ETF and stated the customer said he would not pay it.
HAd to go over the whole "it's a standard fee you broke your contract blah blah blah.."
then he goes off on how he wanted to be called back by someone else (a sup of course) and discuss this matter with them

Here's why this is funny (because that really isn't that unusual. They get a crappy call flow early in the day and have to have us sit available for hours before they can start sending us home to make up) is that they crossed me into Admin some hours ago because apparent Admin needed help... let me check... yep, sitting 19 available in Admin atm...

I am pretty nice on the phone- good attitude. Well there is this lady that ALWAYS complains and gripes pretty much after every call. I know it's stressful to watch your talk time and get the customers off your line but damn. I mean I have my moments too. When I sit by her I start getting in a pissy mood. I pick up this attitude problem.
