I want to strangle someone....

I have had 1 customer in the 10 minutes I've been here. And she has come back 4 times asking questions that a) either have nothing to do with phones or b) just really annoying questions. Like "I have this phone and need a charger for it." "What's the model of the phone?" "How am I supposed to know?"
Then she asked me if I ran the jewelry counter and when I said no, she asked if I could get her some perfume out and tell me about it. I don't have the dam key so NO!!! And NO!!! i don't know where she is or if she is even coming in!!!! Then she started talking about her Nextel phone and asked me if the Upstage ran on that network. I said I honestly didn't know. We don't sell Nextel. The only thing we have remotely close is the Motorola Buzz wh...

CWA

The CWA union is picketing our stores in Dallas today and passing out flyers to customers because we're an agent instead of a COR location. Is this happening anywhere else?

Upgrade to Touch

I am wondering if it would be an upgrade from a bb8830. Ive been reading up on the touch really getting rave reviews. I love the 8830,though before this I had a 755p and love the touch screen. Especially, sig capture and handwritting reconition, but lack of a real key board makes me kind of leary?????????????????

Hippies...

Characteristics of a Hippie customer:

1. When they park and then proceed to pile out of their van or truck (in this case they'll pile out of the CAMPER SHELF)

2. They smell as if they haven't bathed since the last rainfall.

3. Their money smells RANK! Their $20 bills have stunk up my entire closing deposit on numerous occasions. The mixture of the scent of money & the dank of weed isn't a good mix.

4. They refuse to use the Bill Payment Machine (BPK). It's like they're afraid that it's haunted or something. Should I call the Ghostbusters and have them come get Slimer out of the machine? Pay your bill in BPK.

4a. Now that they've adamantly refused to use BPK, I'll fold and offer to take the payment. Guess what their payme...

Verizon CPNI: a late discussion(long)

I didn't read the original discussions, and didn't realize how most customers don't know and are getting their bank of calls/information mined to help Verizon make an extra dime, or save some dimes, in advertising. what pisses me off is they can do it at all, and that they aren't required to have a more direct discussion with their base.
you KNOW that most customers immediately throw away/shred any letters from phone companies, including bills, and that VZW is taking advantage of that apathy. Also, they should have that information posted at all locations, direct and indirect: our indirect company didn't know anything about it until one of our employees emailed us a few days ago with the specifics.

The actual statement from Verizo...

verizon to nextel

hey i already posted this in the nextel forum but it doesnt look like anyone is there. sohere it is again:

im an indirect dealer with verizon and i just dropped off my resume with a nextel dealer. im changing because of pay and i was hesitant to do it in the past because verizon is the only place i have worked for and i was afraid to go from one to the other due to the network. i dont know much about the other carriers and i was wondering you could give me some tips on how to sell a different carrier, still working in the same mall.

Insurance Replacement

I have a Nokia 6265i. A couple days ago, the screen started blacking out on me, showing me half of the screen twice, and warping the images. I have dropped the phone numerous times in the past, which may be the cause, and I have insurance. I am very upset, however, that my phone would be replaced with the V3m. They say if your specific model is no longer available, they will find one of similar make or quality; upgrade. The Razr is actually a downgrade from my phone and I absolutely do not want it. If anything, a valid replacement would be the Rokr, as it's a slider phone and the most comparable. I want to argue to the death with the insurance company to get me an upgrade, not a downgrade! Do you guys think it would it be worth a shot?

I take great pleasure...

So I often handle web orders and in so doing I am using a system to chat with our customers. This is nice in a lot of ways because it allows customers who are hard of hearing, Deaf, or have speech issues to place orders and dialog about an order however it can produce some very unique situations.

Many of my responses are scripted, I just choose the correct scenario and double click.

As a result it is very hard to mess up a message conversation.

They also come across as being overly cheerful sometimes.

I love it.

I really love the customers who become rude, abusive, and obscene.

When they start posting wild, obnoxious, and rude things I can always revert to the closing scripts, which were clearly written with the idea that ...

Sprints marketing

Is it me or dose sprint do the worst job out of the "major carriers" at advertising and marketing. I understand they(we) have alot of capital tied up in buyouts and litigation, still even a hang over from the merger. I think they(we) might be more know for swallowing nextel than for any phone or service. Ie..VZW chocolate; Tmo FAV 5; ATT need I even mention....

Chairs

First a little back ground. there are three desks in my store, each with 1 employee chair and 3 customer chairs. So, a total of 12 chairs. In addition, only on Saturdays is there more than 1 employee (read grunt). So during the week never more than 4 chairs being used at 1 time. That still makes at least 8 free chairs.
Today. I'm talking with a customer (just 1, so 10 free chairs) showing him phones, plans, etc. and standing right behind my desk. An elderly gentleman comes in and sits down, but not in any of the 10 unused chairs. He walks behind me, pulls my chair out from behind me so he has room to sit, and plants himself in my chair. ๐Ÿ‘€
Why? Just why? If you think that the employee chairs look so much nicer there are 2 that I'm...
