YAY!!!

The buyout went through, I officially work for ATT!!

WOOHOO!!!

Anybody know if our pay will go up to what ATT starts reps out at (i think it's like $10.13/hr)?

Aren't Warranties A Bee-Ouch?

Just had a customer come in about a rejected warranty claim. She had a Sony Ericsson W300i. She said that when ever she got a call, her outer screen did not light up or show the number and the inner screen went white. If she was not on a call, both screens were fine. She sent it in for the warranty, but got it back without repair. It came with a picture of a piece in the phone that they said was liquid damaged. She showed me the picture and it had an arrow pointing at some gold contacts inside the phone. They were not green like normal liquid damage would cause and the liquid damage indicator sticker was nowhere to be found. Of course, she claimed that she had no idea how it could've gotten liquid damage because she has never exposed it to l...

How hard is it to understand that if your daughter has the pre-paid plan of $1 a day and $.10/min that there is no way for me to accruatly give you how many minutes a $25 refill card will get you! Please stop explaining to me that she usually calls you every couple days and therefore gets mobile-to-mobile and you think she isn't calling anyone else, maybe her boyfriend! I still don't know how many minutes she'll get!!!!

Sorry got two of these so far today

oh and it is not my dam* fault that the only place to store the phones is in the bathroom, so you can't use it!

yeah...because charging ports just fall out...

Just got yelled at for a good 15 minutes by this dirtball girl and her mom because the charging port on her LG 5300 "just fell out". I asked if she had the charger with her and she pulled out this generic house charger. I asked if she had the original and she told me that it got broken so she had to buy another one. Hmmmm...your original charger got broken and your charging port is broken out, but you say it just "fell" out?

Yeah...I'll get right on replacing that free...NOT!!! YOU BROKE IT!!! It's not my fault nor LGs fault.

When she continued to fight me, I pulled out an old 3200 that I had around for parts that has pretty much the same port on it and I pulled out a large screwdriver. I showed her that the port doesn't just "...

Motorola makes me laugh

I got a moto newsletter and here is a snippet that cracks me up. Of all the products I currently carry, I trust Moto least of all. The fact that the fakes aren't better than the original shocks me...

What I Hate Rant

I hate when customers come in with a problem and then complain that they are "already late for work." We are open from 10 AM to 7PM. You could come in after work or call customer service on you lunch or come in on your day off. Also, customers usually do not say this until I tell them I cannot help them. For instance, I had a lady come in because she had lost her phone, but she did have insurance. I gave her the 800# to the insurance company and explained that she should get the phone next day. She busted out the "I'm already late for work line." Then, she asked how she was supposed to call them when she had lost her cell phone and it was her only phone. I offered to let her use our store phone. She accepted and called the claim in. Afterwar...

This lady came in with a phone that she said wasn't working. She bought it at another agent store about 30 min from here about 2 months ago. When she took it over to that store, they told her to go to the corporate store 45 minutes in the complete opposite direction. She came here.

I explained that I couldn't exchange the phone on site. It's been too long, it wasn't bought here, and I'm not a corporate service center. I offered her the 800 FRU number because the phone looked to be in mint condition.

She started screaming at me because she drove 30 minutes and I HAVE to give her a phone. I told her no and explained again why I couldn't. She started in with the "I have to get to work" thing. I, again, offered the 800 F...

Really?

Had a customer fight with me about plans and phone pricing. Long story short, if a customer renews on an old plan we charge a little more for the phone. He argued that another carrier wouldn't do that. Of course they won't, but they also won't give you the same plan that you signed up with years and years ago. He said he could. So I offered him a hundred dollars if he could get a 40 plan with 2 15 dollar sharetalk lines that comes with 1000 minutes, free incoming and pays 10 for nights and weekends from VZW. He said they would because they can make the plan he wants. Right... What a jerk... ๐Ÿ™„ this also continued for 45 minutes.. even pulled up VZW plans.. he said they were different if you went into a store.. *sigh*

Voyager!!! for VZW

I work at a Verizon Wireless retail store and I had a chance to play with it the other day. It is the real deal. I highly suggest upgrading to it or switching carriers to get it. It is an awesome device. Even if I didn't work for VZW I would get it in a heartbeat.

The Venus is cool too.

I Recommend A New Policy For All Carriers

Yesterday, I was so bored that I read through our policy manual and came across a section on spending limit accounts. CellOne offers spending limit accounts in lieu of extremely high deposits. The manual I was reading said there was $125 and $200, but I believe it is now $125 and $250. Basically, if the account goes above the limit, the phone is temporarily suspended until a payment is made to bring it back below the limit. It helps to make sure people with horrible credit do not run up $10,000 bills and never pay.

Anyways, I read a clause in the terms and conditions for spending limit accounts that I think can easily be modified for all carriers. The clause is:

Out Early

So tonight is the quickest I think we have closed the store so far, but not quick enough for me.

I would love to get out early as I am holding back the biggest Carlos (shi+) from a 10 hour shift after a night of heavy drinking. I would say I am choking off a turtle head but its more like I am squeezing off a garden hose if you know what I mean.

Needless to say I am ready to get out early before my guts get out early (in my pants).

Oh man, I am sitting here bouncing my leg while typing this and just fighting off the bubble guts.

Now find me two girls and a cup and I'll be ready to go!

Wasabi

So I love my brother's girlfriend... I call her my little sister (she needs a big sister, she has nothing but brothers and her mom left when she was little... she already calls my mother "mom") but sometimes that girl doesn't have as much sense as I wish.

She had something stuck under this loop on her phone. It was a sesame seed or something like that. I grabbed piece of paper, rolled it up, and got it out, but my paper came out covered in something smooshy and green. I said, honey, what is this on your phone?

So believe it or not...

And I'm sure most of you won't...

I actually like my job...

I don't love it but I like it...

(At least now that I am out of sales)

And I just had one of those calls that reminds me why I like it.

The poor gal really got the run around. She's on agent number 5 by the time she gets to me. It's not really my issue but I feel bad for her so I'm not sending her on, I'll deal with it.

I can actually do that... say "This is mine, I'm owning this problem and I'm going to hang on like a ratty little terrier until this is solved."

I have some ownership.

My paychecks are based on my ability to hawk stupid products.

I'm not making much sense, I'm still a little buzzy from being able to help her.

Snotty little girl

I'm sitting here watching this girl SCREAM at her mom and dad because she wants a $250 phone and they only want to pay for the $10 phone. I don't have anyone else here, so it's actually kinda funny watching. She's throwing a complete fit. The parents are standing firm. I'm hoping they win.

I had a customer come in earlier today asking about his daughter's account.

C - The number is 555-555-1234.

M - (Rushing to write the number down. What ever happened to "Hello. How are you? I need to make a payment.") Okay. And what are we doing today?

C - I need to pay my daughter's bill, but we are having a problem that has been happening for 3 months now. They told us 3 months ago that it would be fixed and to just pay the $105 that was normally due, but we keep getting a bill with the extra rolled over and a late fee. You can see it there can't you.

M - No, sir. Unfortunately, we are a privately owned store. We cannot access that information.

Ohmygodohmygodohmygod! VOYAGER

We received our launch kits for the Voyager today. I spent all of my free time in between customers playing with that phone. This the first time I've been in awe of a phone like this in a LONG time. I feel like an excited little kid. This phone is LEGIT, people!

Touch the screen to unlock, use the touch screen to create a text message, phone call, touch dial pad, touch keyboard, broadband Rev A capable, slide show screen saver, etc. The only thing it lacks is a napkin to wipe the drool from my mouth. ๐Ÿคค

This truly is VZW's best answer to the iPhone, if not better. The phone is touch screen just like the iPhone, but where it gains an edge is it's Rev A capability. The iPhone is forever stuck on EDGE, so it'll never surf the inter...
