Worry Free Guarantee question
Hi, I upgraded to the Samsung Omnia less than 30 days ago. I don't like it. So I call and they tell me I'm within the Worry Free Guarantee period. So I plan to go back to the store to exchange it for a different phone, but here's my issue: I got a small scratch in the upper left corner of the screen. How critical are they about condition of the phone during exchanges at Verizon stores??
chargers?
Why does a fully charged cell phone waste energy? shouldnt the phone know to stop sucking up power?
Re: NIce phone for Sprint users!!!!!!!!!
They shelved that phone to focus on the razr and such. I had been waiting for the one forever, thank god someone finnaly has one.
TV output
I've heard of this on phones in Japan, I may be wrong but im pretty sure this is the first one over here. What kind of output is it? ide assume a cord that adapts into a composite signal, yellow red and white. But I'm very interested if anyone knows. And do we know what TV services this MVNO will offer? and whos network do they use?
Re: quick question
its a new thing sprints gonna do where u can backup your phone book and restore it if you lose the phone or upgrade or whatever
its a 3.7 volt battery
I think this is a good idea, the shock will most likley be such a low voltage it will probaly feel as strong as a phone vibrateing against your leg. And its on a seperate device, and the battery on that device will be much weaker than a cell phones. I cant leave my phone on vib in meetings or classes, everyone can hear it.
Re: i like that lg 550
I work in the industry as well, have been for many years. I'm not bashing the sound quality or reception of LG's, I feel no shame in selling an LG to someone, but I expect more from a phone than just reception. I dont like the LG's for sprint. the 125/225 just is to basic and lacking. the 325 had bluetooth, kudos, but honestly all those LG's feel like a toy when u hold them, nothing compared to sanyo's. ...
i like that lg 550
I've been waiting for a phone with an fm modulator for so long. I love the feature list, but ya think its gonna suck like other sprint LGs? or might it be good like verizon LGs?
Re: 5th Annual!
That first story about NTP and RIM scared the hell out of me.
Re: 8400???
http://sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t =95084
Most likley the best sourse for info on upcomming sanyo phones. There are alot of roumors around, but this one seems most correct. Mainly because we just got info on the first one, the 3100, and hes right on that.
A900 does not support OBEX
sucks eh?
Supported profiles include:
Object Push Profile (OPP)
Headset Profile (HSP)
Hands-Free Profile (HFP)
Dial-Up Networking Profile (DUN)
Basic Printing Profile (BPP)
File Transfer Profile (FTP)
Unsupported profiles include:
Bluetooth Stereo Headset Profile
Object Exchange Profile (OBEX)
Re: 920 or 8300
I've had the 8300 for awile now, and i bought the 920, but ended up returning it. While yea, it does have more features, of the features they share(the important ones), the 8300 kills the 920.
Re: Finally....
WHAT? yes, NTP definitly had those patents, the whole country was watching, so they DEFINITLY had those patents. They 'took one for the team' and paid up so there MILLIONS of users wouldnt have to suffer, GO RIM! you guy rock and it sucked what happened! but they did the right thing.
Re: Slvr L7 Arrives tomorrow
was your post the one that said it has no head set jack? im assumeing it uses the same one as the razr, it goes in the same place the charger does, that little USB port thing.
100 songs
So does this device actually impose a limit of 100 songs? or is it because the max card you can use is 512? thats about 5 megs per song, but what if i put 100 really small songs on there? will it stop me from adding anymore than 100?
PTT?
While it does say on the info page that the phone has PTT it says type: PoC, while the samsung D357 says Type: Kodiak RTX. None of the promo stuff I've gotten in my store say anything about PTT, are we sure its gonna have cingular supported PTT?
I dont think this is gonna be so bad
Think of services like Yahoo and Google and how much they offer for free, paid for by ads on there pages. You can easily skip over them, but as long as like .02% of people click on them the service can remain free. I wouldnt mind some ads on my phone if itll make the service cheaper.
OBEX ?
This phone and the other new samsung for sprint both say they support the OBEX bluetooth profile. I was under the impression that sprint didnt support OBEX, so this means i can connect 2 bluetooth phones and swap files right? like pictures, now will that work from a cingular phone to this phone? let me know please.
Re: Have a question?
so thats why they always put half duplex speaker phones on these phones? so there is no feedback, never thought of that, i always thought they were being cheap.
Data?
when you use phonescoops compare tool and compare the 9000 to the 8300 it says the 8300 is data capable where the 9000 is not. Does this mean you cant go online through a usb cable on the 9000? with evdo i was looking forward to that.
Re: I could be wrong, but it makes sense... MM!!
The 8300 may not be the HIGHEST end phone, but its leagues better than the 2300 or LG 125. You talk about the series of Sanyo phone, the MM or PM or RL is multi media, picture message, or ready link, im assumeing you knew that, sprint added those, not Sanyo.
8100-8200-8300
7300-7400-7500
5300-5400-5500-5600
4700-4800-4900-4920-4 930
FYI, simply the sanyo name makes a phone 'high end'
MOTO E725

what happened to this phone? I've been waiting forever. I love the idea of an MP3 phone with an FM modulator. I must have one!
Re: VZW appears greedy and not in touch with customer needs.
The reason verizon locks out attaching E-mails is the same reason they lock out sending files over BT, they dont want you to share your 2.99 ringtone, they want everyone to have to buy there own. As far as I know sprint does the same thing, but ive never used a sprint PDA. Cingular is the opposite, they let you share whatever you want, its more open and free. But in my opinion verizon has better service, and I ...
avalibilty?
my company is all excited cause were gonna be selling this phone soon, where as they say ever cingular stores do not. They claim were are gettin em right from Nokia. are other retailers doing the same thing?
Re: Poor T-Mobile...
Alltel is CDMA not GSM
Re: Might not be a Cingular Phone
I bet the SLVR will be concidered a specialty phone if the ROKR can.
dual band?
this is like the only sprint phone ive seen that dosent have AMPs 850 on it. This is a digital only phone?
Re: to nextel18
They planed on 2 at launch, but one got recalled :P
Re: Did anyone notice???
When they were talking about PTT the cingular rep claimed you need at least 1 bar to connect a PTT call but then if u lose that bar and travel further out of the service area your PTT will continue to work. I have no idea how that is but thats probaly why the map is larger
Re: LG 125
The hinge problem on the sanyos, I've seen lots of them break, and I never bother to send them to repair, I just tell people physical damage isnt covered by the warantee and sell em a new one. You say you fix your fair share of them, are they easy and/or cheap to fix? what exactly was the problem? and you say all the new phones have the problem fixed, the only difference I see is the 5600, and ...
Re: Alltell is growing
from what i understand it seemed for awile verizon was thinking of buying sprint, they both have alot in common, would be a very easy merge, would really speed up the EVDO launch, and both carriers are sold by radio shack. The things holding them back was sprints lower credit standard, there debt, and there lower customer satisfaction level. The deal between sprint and nextel is like a combination of equals, so both companies shareholders get shares of the ...
Re: Motorola copy cats!!!
Who cares who made the fist slider? who made the first flip phone? who made the first bar phone? who cares? they are good ideas.
PS Kyo's slider sucks
Re: first american CDMA phone with an FM transmitter?
I know Korea has phones with fm transmitters, i have accounts with sprint and verizon, this has got to be the first phone avalible for either company with one. Sony needs to make more CDMA phones, sony owns just about every other part of my life.
first american CDMA phone with an FM transmitter?
is it?
Korean CDMA DV-DO
What would happen if i got ahold of one of those phones and tried to activate it on verizon?
Re: It's no Go Phone.
"
How much is anyone willing to wager they come out with a brochure in espanol?
"
yo like every brochure we have has a spanish verison.
This is so the people at the verizon store can offer something to people who want a plan and have no credit.
At Radio Shack we have sprint for that.
Re: And here go more customers to postpaid
we take cash for ReUp cards at my radio shack. And to the guy who said why not just pay the deposit? cause in my area verizon deposits can be up to 1k? most people dont got an extra grand to let verizon borrow while they use the service. Plus this prepaid gets the reliability of the verizon network, without the 2 year agreement, very sweet deal.
Re: And here go more customers to postpaid
Verizon has high credit standards, this is a plan for people who cant get a plan. At Radio Shack we offer Sprint, Verizon, Virgin, tracphone, and now this inpulse will fill a good role, for people who have money and want to use a phone but dont want to sign or 2 year agreement or put down 125 with sprint.
Re: GSM or CDMA?
Sanyo pretty much only makes CDMA phones for sprint, im pretty sure that will continue.
