With Sprint, they don't need to verify the last 4 of the social, basically as long as they have the PIN, or the answre to a security question, anyone can call in and make changes, not thte safest thing ever.

So I get a call from an agent in finance, after my opening script, this is what happened:
Rep:Hi, a tech agent help set up a custys auto-pay account, and it was deducted from the wrong account, and now the cust has over draft fees.
Me:Okay, has the cust already switched her auto-pay to the correct account?
Rep: Yes, she has, but what happened is she got over draft fees...
Me: So is she like, wanting a credit for the fees?
Rep: Yes.

It's this simple. You want a Ferrari, you pay the premium for it. You don't want the premium of an exotic car, don't buy the ferrari, keep your civic, etc. Same thing with the EVO. Premium features, premium hardware, pay the premium fee.

Yeah, it's true, there's a document in KMS about it, I think it's just "Fee's matrix" or "activation fee's", and you're right when a cust calls in, and says that that fee was supposed to be waived, we have to. I did $460 worth of adjustments yesterday, at least %70 of those was activations.

3rd world customer service? umm wasn't VZW the provider that gladly handed out an 18k bill, and wasn't ATT&T the other company that handed out an 8k bill? At least sprint has a $75.00 data cap. I have had all three big carriers, and I currently have sprint with the Hero. Att&T refuses to insure half of it's phones, Big red is just outrageously expensive, both of their networks are poor, and customer service is poor. I've had one ...

Agreed, I have a rooted hero(found a workaround for the cupcake black on rooting) running damageless 2.1 rom. It's amazing.

You're able to root it, but man is it a pain in the ass. The sprint hero sucks to root, I was unfortunate enough to get the version of cupcake that disable "One-Click" rooting. I tried everyway imaginable, and finally got a long-winded way to do it. Now, I'm happily running DamageControl 2.1 :)

Werner, I feel you on this. I can't count how many times someone has called in because of an error on their bill, or a charge that was never explained that would occur, and we waive the fee's for them.Especially when it's something as simple as a mis-understanding. I usually tell them that I will waive the fee, if they take measures to ensure the charges will not happen again, in the case of features. For instance, someone calls ...

You should be a little bit more specific on what information you're inquiring about. If you're inquiring about what system it's running, the HD2 is running WinMo. The Evo, which is a Sprint, is very similiar in specs to the HD2, is the one running on Android.

We have a tax calculator in my center, and also have a "Next bill estimate" tool that gives us an estimate within $1-2, as long as they get any other charges outside of the plan.

If it's anything like our center, it is quite ridiculous. If you miss a day without a doctors note, you get written up. If you're more than 2 minutes late, you get written up, and after 3 strikes you get termed. Seems pretty ridiculous especially with the call volume as slow as it is, and it is flu/cold season, so people are getting fired here, left and right.

HTC Hero modding.
Has anyone here done a case mod on their Hero? I know it will void the warranty, and I'm not worried about that, I would just like to know if it's possible to remove the body pieces and have them painted a different color. Also, is it possible to retrofit the AMOLED screen from the Moment into the hero? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Yeah, I do agree. I think the amount we're docked for transfers is outrageous, but not the reasoning itself. I think if we did our job, to company standards, it should be dropped. I shouldn't have to take a pay cut because I didn't give the cust a huge credit for an invalid reasons, or free phones. It's ridiculous

Yeah, we have the transfer rate thing too. Before the transfers, I was making 14.35 an hour average, now I'm down to 9.15 because I'm .6% over goal.

Yeah, it's like that here. I got a No survey today because they guy wanted a $1500 credit for a business deal that dropped while he was on the phone. The guy didn't want to go to a sup(because he KNEW they wouldn't do it.) and all I could do is read him the terms and agreement that says we do not guarantee that the service will work perfectly %100 of the time, and tell him I'm unable to ...

Yeah, care home would DEFINATELY give us updates on such a large move. Iphone is NOT coming to sprint. It is not going to happen. Thing about the logistics here. Sprint is coming out with multiple new android handsets this year(supersonic, nexus, desire, Legacy) why would the bring the iPhone to their network,when apple and android are in direct competition.

This seriously makes no sense. You can buy the phone to use on ATT for a discounted price, or you can pay the FULL price, and use the phone on ATT, but the cool thing is, it won't extend your contract if you pay full price. But, you can only use it on ATT. /;|

We also send surveys out after every call to have the customer grade us on our performance.

Sprint is not getting the IPhone. No one is getting the iPhone, apple is sticking with ATT. Sprint will, however, recieve the nexus one, 1H 2010.

Transparent Notification Screen
A while ago, I was watching a video on youtube about the HTC hero, and they guy who was narrating the video had a transparent notification window, the one you slide down from the top. Is there an app for this? Or would I need to root my phone to use it?
