LG VX-8600 / AX-8600

Sorry, new to bluetooth, but I noticed you can't use speakerphone with the phone closed, wondered if it's the same for bluetooth. Thank you.

I was wondering what the bluetooth capability of this phone was. Are you able to transfer mp3s and pix from a phone of a different carrier to this one?

I've heard that all of the phones for Verizon cannot transfer mp3s because the bluetooth is not supported. I want some confirmation because I was planning on switching to Cingular and getting a phone similar to this one.

If you could please list some of the bluetooth capabilities of this phone (ie: mp3s, pix, other files). Thanks in Advance

Seriously, what is Verizon's problem with crippling the ability for us to know what time it is?

I appreciate the fact that a lot of people wear watches. I don't. In fact I stopped wearing a watch the day I got a cellphone because I knew I'd always have an accurate time.

This is the FIFTH phone in a row from VZW that I've had (including returns) that doesn't show me the time of day when I'm on a call.

Easiest thing in the world to fix, plenty of screen space. So why why why do they never fix this.

Its obviously Verizon's fault because its the same issue regardless of brand.

I rant about this every time I get a new phone. But seriously can someone PLEASE tell me why oh why is this still an issue.

Can anyone tell me if the Verizon Music Essentials kit is the exact same for VX8500 and VX8600? I see a bunch on ebay for the VX8500 and I'd assume that would work but I'm not sure.

Has anyone figured out how to use music as mp3 files from the card as a ring tone?

You won't hear me rant about this phone anymore, I exchanged and picked up the LG 9900, one word, wow.

I purchased the LG LBT730 Bluetooth Headset with the phone, and it seems to sound good on both ends. The problem I have is when I try to dial out using it, it never seems to recognize or understand my commands. Can the bluetooth device be trained to understand my voice?

Is there any way to set a larger size for the caller ID displayed on the front screen when someone calls? It's pretty small when glancing quickly.

do u have to buy the Music Essentials Kit to be able to put music on ur phone from ur pc?

1. When bluetooth is used with a headset, does it sound clear?

2. Can you set the phone to vibrate, silent, etc with the flip closed?

3. Do you need any special software to copy mp3's to the phone or can you just use blutooth and/or a usb cable and windows media player?

4. Anybody know of a reliable online retailer who is selling this phone for less than what the Verizon Wireless store is selling it for?

I had the Motorola E815 and just bought the 8600...i had a bunch of pics and some music already programmed on the memory card...but i can't figure out how to view the pics and music from the memory card in the 8600...i also tried loading the memory card through an adapter on my computer and putting songs on but still can't see them in the phone...please help!

Picked up the phone a couple days ago and really love it, but for some reason my caller ID does not work at all, it just says "No ID" whenever anyone calls up.

My contact list was transfered over from my 8100.

Do I need to go down to a Verizon store to have this fixed or is there a simple at home fix that can take care of this.

I had to swap out my phone today for another one at a VZW store (earpiece sounded distorted, even on very low volume). I can't be sure, which is why I'm posting, but I think this new phone has a different software version. This one is T86VZV02. Anyone else care to post what version your phone has? If this is different, anyone know what's changed in the new version? The only thing I've noticed is that I seem to have a stronger signal at home now.

I know that it has been said that you can transfer pics and sounds via bluetooth. Will someone explain how to do this. The only options to send pic or sound is via MMS. Thank you in advance.

how much does the phone cost without a 2 year plan?

I have never had a phone act like this, but it restarts every time I cycle thru my text messges or try to read a text on the front display. New software maybe? This thing needs some real work.

I am reading the reviews, and there are 2 things I don't understand, which I see so many times:

1) What is "RF" stands for? Speakers or what?

2) Why most of you guys hate the Verizon UI. What's wrong with it? I've been using Verizon Wireless and LG phones for years, and the interface only got better and easier to use. Which interface do you like better?

I personally think that the 8600 phone is just nice looking, but my 8300 is more useful and practical. I wouldn't change it. The main LCD is larger, but the Samsungs (A990?) screen is also larger and the LCD of the Samsung is ultra sharp and beats any LG hands down IMO. Even though I love LG phones much more, I have to admit that.

Possible glitch that I just encountered, I just received a text and when I tried to view it on the external display the phone froze up and went black except for the red buttons on the front. I had to take out the battery to restart. hmmmm
