Using LG LBT730 Bluetooth Headset
kjd81Nov 24, 2006, 5:58 PM
I purchased the LG LBT730 Bluetooth Headset with the phone, and it seems to sound good on both ends. The problem I have is when I try to dial out using it, it never seems to recognize or understand my commands. Can the bluetooth device be trained to understand my voice?

I was thinking to purchase the H700. Have you tried the H700 yet. Can you let me know. Thx.

I have the moto h700 and have the same problems. When I voice dial from the phone I don't have the same problem. Does is sometimes say that it does not recognize the command or something like that? Wonder if this is a problem with the bluetooth implementation? I have no problem with call clarity when I use the voice dialing from the phone itself.

I have not tried the H700, but am considering swithing mine for something else. The battery on my LBT730 doesn't hold up like they say either.

I did some testing with the H700. When driving, it seems the noise from outside is picked up and interferes with the voice recognition, when I stop the car and use it there was no problem. I just ordered the lg 730 and will let you know what how that works for me (on Howard Forums they seem to be having better luck with the 730). The battery life of the H700 is great, I don't use it that much but I don't have to recharge it for at least 2 weeks.

I'm on my fourth 8600 all because of what i believe is a problem with the bluetooth/voice recognition software. Tried almost all bluetooth headsets and the same problem exists. The phone has trouble either hearing or simply recognizing commands, whether it is simply a "yes", "call number", or "call name" command. I have less problems with the call name feature it rarely recognizes the "yes" on the first try after.
I haven't had any of these problems when i just use the phone.

Have you trained the Voice commands.I use the lbt730 with the 8600 and I have yet for it not to recognize my voice.

The phone is voice independent. No need, as far as i know, to train it. I currently use one of the Jabra headsets and found this one particular model to be the best (wish i knew the model to tell you). It works okay (sometimes)...but not what i became used to with the Motorola phones. The software needs some work.

it still has a train mode to understand your speaking patterns. Look under tools and setting>tools>voice commands>settings>train
