Motorola RAZR V3

Does anyone here know what software can be used to make mp3 ringtones and how to get it on to the V3? Thanks!

My cousin got her V3 yesterday, and she also bought a data tool in the same time. The V3 is really an awesome phone! And this data tool called MA8870 is really nice, this function is called file management, and not only it charges the phone, but also allow us to upload MP3 music to the phone and set as ringer!The phone book management is very user-friendly too. Besides those, it also offer many free ringtone and wallpapers as free give away items, all I can say is, she is very lucky to have this excellent phone and also the data tool.

Im looking at buying an unlocked Razr to use with my T mobile acct but i have a few questions
-is the battery life really 7hrs...no bluetooth
-can you plug in a wired headset(i didn't see an outlet on the demo)
-is the reception good..(i realize alot has to do with the wireless provider)
-what is the chip people are talking about?
-finally, is anyone using it with t mobile? Does it let you surf on T zones(t mobile internet browser)

I'm new to the posting scene so I've been reading a lot of the posts before actually getting the V3. I ordered my V3 via telesales by calling the sales number. Requires a lot of patience 'cause the computers either slowed down or crashed so I wasn't able to finalize my order until Friday (I called them last Wednesday). I got my V3 today via FedEx (I'm in the NYC area) so I'm pretty happy. The only thing I would like to have right now is a holster, not one of those cheap clip ons that you put on the belt and next thing you know, the phone slips. From playing around w/ the V3, the sound is excellent and so is the graphics. The camera is best when there is lighting as it does not respond well to low light situations. I went to the local Cingular store in Harrisburg,PA and talked to the manager. He said no insurance not even through Lockline. The battery and charger is different from the other motorola phones. You have to buy a new car charger. Battery pack is a pain to take on and off. The cingular rep fried a guys ATT sim card while I was there. All of his phone numbers were lost. He was pissed!! Worth the money???? I think not!! No insurance available and the need to buy all new charger stuff and having the reps fry your SIM card,,,I'll stay with my V505.

Which on is it Moto says 260k, Cingular says 64k. Does anyone know for sure?

I have a dell axim pocket pc, and am trying to sync via bluetooth with no succsess any advice?

I called my local cingular store and they told me they don't have the RAZR V3. They got 1 in last week and it sold within the hour. Gosh, is it that difficult to buy the phone? I can't seem to get the phone or any information about it so far.

Wonder if the new shipment will be locked or not?

does anyone know if the obey moto software is available for the V3 or where you can get it? and the earpiece volume seems low at max setting of 7 - anyone know how to adjust it higher - adjusting the gain??

When setting up AIM,,initial setup, I accidently erased the username/password on the ISP settings menu. Does anyone have those settings/password?? Thanks

Just picked up my phone and transfered over from Verizon. Have some Cingular questions:

1) Is there any free WAP site like at Verizon or do you need to pay for Cingular's Mobile Web?

2) How can i send MP3s to the phone ..is it only using BlueTooth? With my V710 i would need to convert them to midi files and then send as an attachment in a Pix Msg. Is there a similar method that you guys use?

3) Are incoming txt msgs .10 cents as well as outgoing. I've never heard of a carrier charging that much to receive txt msgs.

I didn't get mobile phone tools with my purchase from Cingular and from what I see on the Moto site this update version for the V3 isn't available yet.

Another question.... what bluetooth handsfree system for the car do you guys recommend? Not an earpiece but something for the car with good quality sound and basically safer driving.

Today while I was at Cingular getting my new phone I got the Motorola V551. I asked the guy to see the phone and this phone is just too wide for my liking. I thought it was going to be much smaller than it really was. I don't think its worth $500

First time having a GSM phone. I would like to be able to use Categories and Voice Names but you can only use them when u save to phone. How can I save them to the Sim as well?

For all you people complaining about the price, you should be checking out the prices on eBay.

Up until about a week ago, the prices were about $700-$715 for a RAZR V3. Late last week the prices were about $600, and now I've noticed that some of the prices are about $400 or less for an unlocked phone with NO CONTRACT.

I know that in the Motorola original box it comes with a pouch, USB connector, cables, software, and a wired earpiece. Can someone tell me exactly what you get with the Cingular version? Thanks.

I talked to some of my friends that are sales reps in San Antonio, and they got their RAZR phones yesterday (Oct. 29th). Hopefully I will be getting mine any day.

Whenever I get a call that I don't have the number set up as a contact, I always get the number in this format: "1-972-XXX-XXXX". On my old phone with Sprint, I would get the same only without the "1". Can this be done with this phone and/or is it a Cingular issue? Any help that keeps me from calling tech support would be greatly appreciated.

I hope it is more than the v600! The 600 only holds the last 10 received calls, my tdma startac would hold 30 !!! I need the larger call list. Thanks for any replies.....
