Im looking at buying an unlocked Razr to use with my T mobile acct but i have a few questions
-is the battery life really 7hrs...no bluetooth
-can you plug in a wired headset(i didn't see an outlet on the demo)
-is the reception good..(i realize alot has to do with the wireless provider)
-what is the chip people are talking about?
-finally, is anyone using it with t mobile? Does it let you surf on T zones(t mobile internet browser)
thanks!

Hi,

I purchased an unlocked version (Asia version actually) from Cellular Concepts around one month ago.

The phone really was new, in great shape and worked great. No way 7 hours of battery life with talking involved.... more like 3-4 depending on how much you speak.

I have since picked up a new, Cingular branded, locked V3 and really like it a lot. The "chip" is this 64k sim card that comes with the phone which I was told by a Cingular Tech today just enables the phone to lock onto towers quicker and smoother... FWIW

Following are the T-mo settings and instructions I got for my unlocked phone which worked just fine....

Before start with this setup, please call T-mobile (1-800-937-8997) to make
sure that you have the T-zo...

thanks for your help..i have til friday to decide if i wanna get it...hard to justify..for the MMS, will i still be able to send pics from my phone to someones email? or will it be only to t mobile phones? As for the talk time, were you using it with a bluetooth headset? I realize that that feature kills your battery fast. I was hoping it would be 7hrs by using just the phone or a wired headset. That sucks that they would advertise a 7hr battery life!
once again thanks!
