I am about throw my v600 through the window. The menu speed and the time it takes for the send key to respond when answering calls is absurdly slooooow. Driving me crazy !!!

WOW

Got my v3 Saturday. WOW! much better than my v600 that cingular never could get right (poor signal strength). feels well balanced, better photos and the internal display is great. Moto did good. Didn't mind the price for this one. Does anyone know where to get any OEM accessories? Moto has very few and cingular has less.

Qs on HF800 BT Speaker

The V3 is my first BT device, so I'm not familiar with the HF800 wireless speaker.

I understand it's intended to be hands free, but where does it rest/attach in the car without sliding around?

Not sure I understand the advantage over the built-in speakerphone.... 🙂

Is the phone worth it if I already have the V600?

I read a review saying that if I have a V300, 500, or 600, I should wait for their new models. I really like the way this phone looks and already have a V600. Should I get the phone or is it better off to wait and get something else?

thanks

RAZR V3 insurance coverage or lack of

I've been following the comments on this phone for several months and am still wondering if I want to part with the cash to purchase it.
The recent postings on availibility of Lockline insurance have also gotten me spooked. I can't imagine walking around with a $500 phone without insurance coverage. I've been a cingular customer in Lubbock< TX almost 8 years and have never been without coverage. I've always had Moto phones and have had to use insurance 3 times to reploace defective phones.
After reading postings both ways on whether or not insurance could be purchased for the v3. I called cingular telesales and asked the rep who answered my call. I told the rep that supposed cingular folks had said on line that insurance was not going t ...

V3 available in NYC on Tuesday

I visited the Cingular store in NY yesterday and they told me it will be available this coming Tuesday. I asked the sales guy if the phones are locked or not and he says they are unlocked. I don't know if I can trust him being that everything people tell me has been false cause they wanted to make a sale.

Can people on this forum help...those that are lucky to have the V3 already...can you try to ask a friend or relative who uses a different provider and pop in the SIM card. Not AT&T cause I'm not sure with AT&T since they are now sharing the same network.

This would help a lot and hopefully, I will have my V3 by Tuesday. I've been eyeing it ever since I saw it on the Motorola website months ago.

Thanks!!!

Voicemail help PLEASE

Alright, I don't know what the deal is here. I can't get anywhere with my voicmail. I hold down 1 to get to it of course, but when asked for my mobile number, the system says that it is not a valid number. Is there something I have to set up in my phone first? Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Moto.com: VC700 Car Charger Is Compatible with V3

No need to wait for Cingular to stock their own brannded version. $24.99 on http://commerce.motorola.com probably less elsewhere.

Problems with my V3

1. This isn't really a V3 problem in itself, but for some reason I can't set up my voice mail. It prompts me for my mobile number, but then says that it is "not a valid number."

2. I can't send email/pics, and this morning, my internet won't work.

3. This could be a major hassle, my battery cover won't pop in all the way. I've tried and tried, but it won't do it. It sticks out on one side and no matter how hard I push or how many times I try to put it back in, it won't work. It looks as if it is too small to reach all the way around and snap all the way in on both sides.

Anyone else having these problems?

Flimsy? I Don't See It.

I've been reading the reviews of the V3, and one of the cons that keeps coming up is that it seems delicate. I don't find that to be the case. It feels real solid in my view. I don't feel like I have to "baby" it whatsoever.

Either I got a "good" one or we just have very different benchmarks.

Opinions/Advice Please...

I currently have a V600. not the best phone I have ever owned but not too bad either. Now, with all of these new Motorolas out, I decided it is time to upgrade. Since I work (rotational) in Europe and africa, I need quad band for sure. The V600 works great everywhere I go, But...
The MPX220 looks like the phone I want but I read about so many issues people are having with it. The V3 is pretty but it IS just a pretty phone. (of course, isnt that the idea?) Then there's the V551, pretty much does it all plus it has EDGE as opposed to GPRS, and it is a lot more reasonably priced.
Could i get some advice/opinions please?

v3 received today please read

I ordered from Cingular telesales Thursday night and got my phone on Friday afternoon.

Pros
-lightweight
-loud ringer
-nice reception/volume in mic.
-voice dial works with BT headset and speaker kit
-looks cool

Cons
-feels flimsy
-has some minor nicks around the charger slot and on the back where you take the cover off
-batter cover is a M F'r to get off and on (especially back on)
-not particularly feature rich when you consider the price
-Cingular shipped it with a charger, manual and stupid little M branded pillow thing
NO PHONE TOOLS CD, NO DATA CABLE, NO EXTRA BATTERY, NO HEADSET OF ANY KIND.... ALL FOR A SPECIAL LOW PRICE OF $500 W/2 YEAR CONTRACT COMMITMENT

I am not sure if I will keep this or not. If I can get ...

Wirefly.com

right now wirefly has a $100 rebate for the v3. I've read a lot of reviews about wirefly and it's very mixed. I guess the people who had a good transaction with wirefly had good credit but has anyone ordered the v3 from wirefly?

Champagne Taste on A Beer Budget

This type of event has happened many times in the cellular industry; a phone un-like any other comes out at such a high price point that people get upset that they cant afford it. Who remembers the SE T68i that phone was 249.99 with service when it first came out. Moto V 70 was 299.99 when it first came out and it turned out to be a P.O.S but everyone wanted one because of the swivel. These phones were status symbols. To us Cell Phone junkies these phones are like the equivalent of a Prada Purse or Rolex watches. Phones like the V3 don’t do anything else really special that has not been done before; they just do it while looking extremely cool. If you have A V3 on your belt, I hope you choose it cause of its looks not features because a v551...

price of v3

Personally, I don't see the problem with $500 or even more for this phone. I may be one of only a few on this site that is coming from Nextel where every phone is purchased for a high price. 2 yrs. ago I paid $200 for a monochrome interal display, a single line monochrome external and no camera or sleek look. In fact they just released their first cam phone and it's getting $299 with 2 yr. deal. So, as far as I'm concerned this is a steal.
