Motorola RAZR V3

Does anyone know if it is possible to check AOL email on this phone?

1) Is there a notepad feature on this phone? Where can I write a quick note?

2) How can I email myself an mp3 or a picture. Do i need to activate anything with cingular or can i just send it?

3) Sure this one has been answered several times but what Bluetooth accessories can i buy for this phone. I don't see any on Cingular or Motorolas web site.

In the middle of a call my Razr just stopped working. I thought that it had run out of power and connected it via USB to a laptop. The phone still didn't turn on.

Has anyone heard of this happening?

It sounds fine for playing the music files I downloaded to it, but every person's voice has a crackling/distorted sound to it, even at the lowest volume.

I need to know if all are like this?

Okay, so my new UNLOCKED RAZR that I use on AT&T has all this Cingular stuff on it. When it boots up, I get Cingular logos and other stuff. The Web icons are all Cingular icons.

Does anyone know how I can remove these or at least save them off to my computer so I can reload them in the future? I want to install my own bootup messages and logos instead of the Cingular junk.

My V3 has absolutely no good ringtones...none!
There are only about 5 or 6 to choose from!!! This can't be right?? And the killer is, when I go to download them off the internet using my phone....I can't even preview the ring!!!!!
I have to download it in order to hear it. Unbelievable. Am I doing something wrong here?

Cingular does not include software with the V3 so I checked around and found that BVRP is contracted to provide it. You can get it (version 3.11h) for $25 direct download until the end of November. Use "tech42" for coupon code. I would not bother paying $10 for a backup CD. They said you can download it more than once.

On a side note, you dont need any software to send music or pic files to the phone with a usb bluetooth adapter. However, if you do get the software, it is designed to install only Motorola usb adapters.

You can use other adapters, but as I found out, you have to install the adapter's software first, reboot, THEN plug the ada...

I have stored pictures and phone numbers on my phone as phonebook entries (not on the SIM card).

When I get calls from those numbers, they show up as "unavailable" numbers and the pictures assigned to them don't appear. Does anyone know why?

I was checking out websites for accessories for my V 3 and found this website selling V3's for 284.99 . I don't know why they are selling it for this price. It is call Intelenet Wireless.The site seems to be legit but then again I didn't buy mine from there.

Does anyone know where I can get either a belt holster of a leather case that fits the Razr? To date, this is the coolest phone I've ever owned, but carrying it around is next to impossible. Motorola's web site does not list any type of carrying case, neither does Cingular's. Help please!

I got my contest phone and it came preloaded with AIM. I prefer Yahoo messenger. Although my V600 downloaded Yahoo with no problem, my V3 tells me that it is not compatible with Yahoo. Can this be correct? or is this some sort of deal that Moto has made with AOL?

Okay, there have been a few discussions on this topic here in this forum and others that debate the materials used on the V3. Some think the lower part of the unit is plastic but other sources quote it to be magnesium. In fact, the editor of Phoce Scoop himself states it is magnesium (see the Moto Summer feature article at https://www.phonescoop.com/articles/moto_2004 _07/index.php?p=v3) because of the moldable properties of magnesium.

I looked at one in the Cingular store and it felt like metal to me-- much like that of a higher-end digital camera body that first looks like plastic but is metal and not metal coated plastic. But where are the GSM and Bluetooth antennas? Certainly not underneath metal.

Does anyone know the settings for AT&T's WAP and MMS? I assume the settings are the same for each phone, but that the location to set them up would be different.

AT&T said they have no info on the settings, but I'm sure there is a way to set them up.

i bought a V3 limited edition..its the european model. Even the wall charger has the weird plugs(it came with a us plug adapter). The question i have is...can i use the US wall and car chargers to recharge my phone?

The Euro wall charger i have says the following:

what do the US wall chargers say? Could someone check theirs out?

I want to get a US car charger and an extra wall charger but im scared i might damage my phone. Secondly, could this Euro charger work on a US razr? (given the plug adapter is used to fit the wall socket)

That's with their usual 1-year new contract activation. If you're already a Cingular subscriber you would have to get a new number. Since I'm coming from Sprint, that $150 rebate is mine for sure! 😁

I don't know if this question has already been answered but I tried downloading an MP3 ringtone and don't know what happened to it. I got the authorization code as a text message but then after I entered the code it said the link was sent to me but I can't find it on my phone anywhere. I noticed that when trying to register on the Motorola site the Razr phone wasn't on the drop down menu maybe that's why. Any feedback would be appreciated.

i was told that the mpx 200 uses the same charger..i looked at it and yes, it uses the mini-usb hook up too. I'm alil scared to use it and find out that i messed up my phone or battery. Also, I have the European model. My wall charger has the euro plug so i have to use a US adapter. Since it is a world phone, i think it handles any voltage difference ok...i just want to make sure..any advice?
