Motorola RAZR V3

OK, I have a v600 with Att and i got it mid August. I want to get the V3 now for Cingular so what are my options? Like what would I have to do to get it?? Thanks

So the rumors seem to be true - (but I guess they always are in L.A.) - in that Lockline will not insure this phone... now I was told this by a higher up at Lafayette Cingular call center and have yet to check with Lockline but anyone have any thoughts, and should I just leave Lockline in the dark and let them think I still have a V600 - better to get at least something should anything happen to the V3...

I downloaded Jamdat Bowling on the V3 - it's a pretty fun easy game and I was kinda' digging it on the V600 but while the Java seems better (realistic colors, better sounds) on the V3, there seems to be glitches in the Java app's. The game never plays right - there's much jittery pausing between action of ball hitting pins and I have do...

the wirefly offer has now changed a little higher - it is 339 after rebate, but the upfront cost is lower - 389.99 with a 1 year contract. there is that 50 dollar rebate available after 6 months.

anyone know the scoop? better than 450 up front but 300 after 150 of rebates?

I have tested two V3s and they both do the same thing when i hook them up to the "official" motorola car charger...i tried it with the old Mpx200 charger and the V3 charger..The display light won't turn off...I'm scared that i might burn out my displays longterm...Has anyone else noticed this?!

? If a phone is unlocked does that mean that I can use it with any phone company, such as Cingular sells this phone but could I use it with Verizon? thanks

I just got a V3 Today, put my SIM card in from my Sony Ericsson T616, and all the Names appeared in the V3 phone book.

I then changed how the name looked because it put a (M) Mobile (H) Home depending on what i had it under. I also saved each number to the phone's memory.

The icon changed from the SIM logo to the phone memory logo. I decided since everything was perfect i would back the numbers up on the SIM.

I did this, and now all the SIM numbers appear back in the phone book along with the the numbers stored in the phones memory.

HOW CAN I STOP THIS. I dont want to see the SIM logo and SIM numbers. Just the ones in the phones memory, but still back up the numbers. PLEASE HELP

Looking over my V3, wanted to see how others fare. The front display glass appears not even with the case o fthe phone but slightly below it, and mine seems to be able to move slightly, as if all that is holding it in place is some double-sided tape, etc.

Anyone else?

Other than that, and my question below, I'm loving this phone!

My question, SIM pins, I had mine a while ago and had it in an excel DB, however trying to re-assign one I must have faulty info, now that one is blocked (though all functions work, etc.), anyone know how to get around? Do I have to call the evil devils at cingular for it yet again? (I paid a long time ago for an unlock when it was in my V400 ...

Has anyone else noticed that when you use your V3 when around a TV or normal phone it causes interference. I hear the same sound coming from my TV and phone when im either talking on the V3 or using mobile web.

has anyone figured out a way to sync the hs810 with the razr????

Syncing the 820 is not problem at all. The assumption going around is that it won't work and thats the reason (one of the reasons) that it was discontinued. Anyone heard anything???

On the right side of the phone a the hinge appears to be a spot to insert a wrist strap. Does anyone know if Motorola has one of these or if someone has developed on?

I guess I could get any old strap and it would work, but I was just curious to know if there is a Moto version.

Can anyone give me some advice on getting the V3, like do u know any places that sell the phone for a good price without the plan in New York city?

And if you had to get the plan, would you choose T-mobile (also offering the V3 in Manhattan) or Cingular; who is a better service provider? I know that Cingular uses
T-mobile's towers but T-mobile's reception sucks, i get NO reception at work.

I went to both stores and i can either stay on my current T-mobile plan and pay $500 for the phone by "upgrading my plan" or move to Cingular and become a new customer, but paying more initially for additional service features and $499 for the razr V3... 😡

I called up Cingular tonight and it turns out that CNA/LockLine are NOT going to insure the V3 for purposes that if people lose the phone or it gets damaged, we would only be paying about one-third of the full retail price. I am debating whether or not I should stick with Cingular and instead get the V551 which I can get insurance coverage. I will be deciding by tomorrow and on top of that, would have to call Cingular TeleSales which is where I purchase the V3 to discuss my options. In any case, I will receive credit for the phone depending on the condition of the phone (its in MINT CONDITION - not a scratch) and should I stay with Cingular, I fully intend to keep my number as well as the SIM card for the phone I will get. Now if I chose not...

I get this error messege when trying to access a url. Anyone have a clue what the problem is?

Is anybody else having problems making images for their V3? I've been making custom graphics for other motorola phones, so I have an idea what I'm doing, but I just can't get this one to work right. I'm making my images to fit 220 x 264 (so they'll fit without distortion or discoloration on the outer display as well) and it automatically resizes any image I download to about 166 X 138. This is SEVERELY altering the images.

Anyone else run into a similar problem, and what did you do to fix it?

OK, how do you migrate from ATT to Cingular. I currently have ATT and I want to "migrate" to Cingular to get the V3. I own the V600 and want to get the 75$ for it when i migrate. I just dont know what to do. Do I just go to my Cingular store and say I want to migrate from ATT to Cingular. Also does that offer me rollover minutes and all Cingular plans? If anyone has any info on this please let me know. Thanks

I just bought a Razr on Amazon and have a question about the video capabilities. Can you assign a clip to play when the phone is flipped open? How about for the small screen when the phone is closed (like a screensaver)? Just curious on what the phone can do.
