WAP MMS Settings for RAZR using AT&T

Does anyone know the settings for AT&T's WAP and MMS? I assume the settings are the same for each phone, but that the location to set them up would be different.

AT&T said they have no info on the settings, but I'm sure there is a way to set them up.

go to support.attws.com from there you can send a SMS with new browser settings right to your phone. Just select Device Setup Tools and choose the reconfigure mMode link. very easy to do.

I already went to that site, but the RAZR V3 does not appear in the list of phones, so the setup will have to happen manually, however AT&T says they have no info on that phone so they cannot help.

Use the OTA of the V505 it worked for me. Don't forget you also need to do the MMS and once done you need to set the mMode session as the default.

got to web session, scrole to the mMode one and just highlight it, hit the menue key and then choose as default.

Could someone please post the complete settings to get the V3 to work with AT&T MMode.

I have AWS checked under Web Sessions. I don't see MMode there.

Please help.

did you go to this link for the mmode OTA set up: https://secure.mouse2mobile.com/clients/attsu pport/ota/wap/3phone.asp

and this for the MMS set up: https://secure.mouse2mobile.com/clients/attsu pport/ota/mms/3phone.asp

Did you choose the V505 as the device? Once done, you enter you cell number then it gives you a code which you need to enter once you get the SMS. Once these are entered then you go to settings, web sessions then scroll down to mmode gprs, hit the menu key then hilight set as default and hit the select key and that should be it.

Thanks much for the super quick response.

I followed your instructions but havn't received the SMS. Does it take a while to receive?

I am hoping to get MOBITV on this unit. The V600 received MOBITV but isn't an Edge capable phone. Do you know anything about this?

I got it with in 1 minute. Did you input your number with 10digits only and no dashes like this 1112223333, if you did not redo and enter them this way. Do not put the 1 before the area code.

I tried the v505 settings as well as the MMS setting but the phone hangs up in the "Launching Browser" "Connecting..." screen. Would anyone happen to have the complete settings to do it manually?

Hey thanks for the input but I went ahead and did a "Master Clear" and re-provisioned mMode and MMS through OTA and it finally worked!

Go to Tools>Intial Setup>Master Clear>

When it asks you input 000000 and it will clear the phone to factory settings you will lose all ringtones, pics and information that you have downloaded onto the device. :-)

No, you don't lose those. The "Master Clear" sets it back to the Cingular factory settings.

Hey guys, so I tried the settings for mMode and MMS for the v505 through ATTWS' OTA site. The mMode settings work fine but the MMS settings just do not work. When I get MMS messages I get an alert and it asks if I want to download the message, when I select "DWNLD" nothing happens, for a fraction of a second it looks as if it's going to download it but nothing happens. Does anyone know how I can fix this so that I can download those messages?

From my experience with your problem, give customer support a call, have them take the MMS feature off your account, then re-add it, and it should be fine..not saying it will, but it SHOULD be..

I have received that msg before also (I am with Cingular) and what it really means is that MMS feature isn't active on your account or the system isn't picking it up..keep me posted..
