LG VX-8000

Does anyone else ever have trouble with their phone after fully charging it overnight? Some times when I charge my phone overnight and it says fully charged, the inside screen is blank and the buttons don't work, but the outside screen works fine. The only way to reset the phone is to take out the battery. Any fixes or similar problems?

Has anyone used these items together ?
Jabra BT250 + A210 + Vx 8000.

I am thinking about going for the plunge, unless someone has any negative feedback regarding these items performing with my new phone.

That sucks,selling the phone with the brochures of v-cast and we dont even have it. When i bought the phone on the 1st i didnt even know about the 2 free months of v-cast until i got back on this forum and some one mentioned it. I called VZW and they said it was true. I said we did not have it here yet and the lady said if i took a trip down south through Ohio i could pick it up through some of there citys,w...

Hey guys,

I was playing around with my new 8000 today, and I was curious. I cant get the speakerphone to work while it is shut. Does anyone know why?

This phone appearently doesnt have a driving mode, someone had mentioned to turn that on and that would do it.

I was playing with my headset while the speakerphone was on and i made a call. Mid call i pulled the headset out of the phone, and bingo worked no problems. But thats the onyl way ive seen so far and thats just stupid.

Anyone else wanna throw in some input?

I have had this phone since the day it came out and I love it. But something annoying is starting to happen: On the 16th day I had it (figures it would be that way), my phone started turning itself off and/or restarting itself at random. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know any possible solutions? Thanks.

I'm looking into getting this phone, but am wondering how well the calendar feature works. I've read numerous reviews, but none have covered this. How well does it work? Can you realistically use it as a PDA replacement? What views does it give you? Day, week, month? Any input (screenshots would be great) at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

can someone tell me what are the best settings on the phone to take good pictures. what should the setting be on the camera itself, flower or person, and what should the resulution be, and all of the other settings.

Although I bought my LG 8000 the first day they became available and am very happy with it in just about every way, I just began playing around with some 15-second video shoots yesterday. I wasn't expecting anything that great, and to be honest, the quality of the video itself is actually somewhat better than I had anticipated (although 15 seconds seems to go by in less than 10 seconds). However, I was disappointed that the sound was barely audible. Perhaps this was to be expected, but I guess I was expecting the moon because a friend of a friend with a Cingular video phone once sent me a video (to my computer) where the sound (voices) was loud and crystal clear.
Anyway, I haven't really seen many (or any?) posts about video (other than V-C...

I like the highest picture resolution, but does it eat up too much phone memory? Are the other resolutions not as bad, but helps free memory space?

Sorry to post this hear but it concerns the LG 8000 which I'm getting in March. I feel that if I post this on the Verizon forum it will turn into a bash Verizon, Cingular's best b.s. contest.

Question 1 is that when you download a V-Cast game its 9.99 for the subscription. Does this show up on a every bill or is it a 1 year deal?

Question 2 is after downloading it and when you go to play it-- Does it use up your minutes

Question 3 is for the 15.00 V-Cast option- whenever you use it does it come out of your minutes or is it unlimited useage? Iask this because I use the Internet 2.0 feature to check e-mails.

First i was wondering if when i go and hit menu then 0 then 000000 then i hit * then i type in 899667 then # -I can change the video time which is cool ,but when i start recording it still only records 15 seconds- Does anybody know why??????/


Also when i go to the above secret menu what is Push Notification mean???

Does it mean like walky talkie mode or something????

Quicklink isnt transferring all my numbers over. whats going on?

its missed about 30 numbers (chronologically the most recent i've added) from the phoenbook which i just had successfully transferred over from my samsung A530.

can others that are using QuickLink please verify that they are getting all their numbers!

the phone is coming up as LX8000 in Quicklink (bought this morning) and there is even a picture of the correct phone.

anyone else noticed this? i have about 320 contacts

today i went to my local vzw store and saw the 8000, such a nice phone, when i started asking questions about the phone, NONE of the employees knew about it 👿, so my question to you guys is what do the buttons on the outside do? can they play music without headphones?

The mobile office kit for the VX6100/VX7000 works great, even the Quicklink Mobile Phone Book. When you connect the phone book detects the VX8000 as the VX8000 and displays a picture of it. Really nice to be able to backup your contact lists. I think this is the same kit that verizon will sell for the phone when they figure out how they are going to nail us for the EVDO network. By the way I average about 300kbps with some incredible bursts of over 800kbps (testing done on msn's internet speed test). Not too shabby for a cell phone.

QPST and MP3 Cutter is a must also. QPST will allow you to download ringtones, mp3's and pic's to you phone.
