Battery indicator problems?

I am now on my third 8000 phone and what is happening is I lose the first 3 battery indicator bars in the first hour and twenty minutes of talk time but the third bar lasts until about 3 hours then the phone dies in about 3:15. They say your supposed to get 4/12 hours of talk time. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Stupid Question--thinking of getting the LG 8000 on 3/3 but was wondering about this?

I'm seriously thinking of upgrading my LG 4500 to the LG 8000 on March 3 (1 yr Verizon contract time limit is up). I was wondering if you take a picture of someone can it be used to identify if that particular person is calling (i.e. assign that picture to the caller)?

Also I've been reading that a holster isn't included-- what's a good place to get accessories for the 8000 on-line?

Tbanks-- I'm really looking forward to getting this phone.

Please help with BitPim

Hey guys, I just got a data cable for my vx8000 and have downloaded BitPim for mac osx. Can anyone please help or provide links with what exactly to do. I found on step by step site but that is no longer working. I opened bitpim 0.7.26 and selected the vx7000 as my phone (don't know if thats right). It recognizes the com port but when i try to "Get Phone Data" I recieve an error. Thanks in advance. Oh ya can BitPim do everything QTSP can, like mp3 tunes?

Safe Transfer?

Hey, all of you experts out there, do you know if verizon is going to make a special cable for the mp3 player, because we have to do it through QPST and when i did and played back the files, it seemed like it was intended to have an mp3 player on the phone because of the backgroud graphics and options, do any of you know if verizon realizes that there is a problem with the phone's mp3 player accesibility and they should fix it?

mp3 loading

I have qpst and futuredial driver, I have been following the directions on these threads but when I put the mp3's on brew/shared/aod/directory and try loading them nothing happens. I then reset the phone and nothing. I also delete the aod.dat file but there is nothing in that file to delete. I'm kinda confused at this point. I put mp3's on the phone once but I don't know how I did it. Please help I'm so close.

TUNES

Hey guys, i was wondering if there is a way to transfer full sized mp3s or mid's to the phone via email (xxx-xxx-xxxx@vzwpix.com)...and if there is not, which cable should i use, and what is QPST, and where do i get it. The only thing i know about QPST is that it isn't safe...is there going to be a safe way to transfer mp3s to the phone?

Maximum Amount Of Ringtones?

I use QPST and I haven't been able to load more then 25 ringtones on the phone. I'm only using about 2.5 MB of the 6 MB that is for ringtones and I have placed them in the two locations that store ringtones. Is that the maximum limit? If not how do I get more on the phone?

Data Cable from Tangshop.com

Just wanted to know if anyone has purchased this cable yet, and if so, how is it working? The price is very reasonable, but I don't want to buy it unless I will be able to download tones/photos/data conveniently. any information will be helpful. Thank you.

Cleaning the screens

What is the best way to clean the screens from fingerprints, smudges, etc? Glass cleaner? sunglasses wipes?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Ring Tones Included w/ 8000???

I am not sure if anyone will agree, but I think that the ring tones that came with the phone are not that good. I am just trying to find a loud ringer that will allow you to hear the phone when it is in my back pocket. Most of the included ringers are pretty loud when the phone is on the clip or on the table, but it really gets muffled when in a pocket. I had the v60i and didn't have any problems hearing the ringer when it was in my pocket. Does anyone know where I can get a standard ringer that is capable of being heard in a busy environment when it is in my pocket? I am trying to stay away from all of the "song" type ringtones. In addition, the master volume is set to high. Unfortunately, I do not think this phone has a vibrate & ri...
