Camera Resolution

I like the highest picture resolution, but does it eat up too much phone memory? Are the other resolutions not as bad, but helps free memory space?

Thank You

Read the manual! This question is asked so many times.

Take it out of macro mode, if it still looks bad, get a new phone!

Macro-Mode is for close-ups:

Portrait-Mode is not (these were not on "Fine"):

Hey Dave Thanks, Your sarcasm is appreciated, I know the difference between Macro and Portrait. I was wondering if other people have experienced poor quality on both modes. 😁

I disagree, if the camera quality looks bad, go out and buy a digital camera. Problem solved. You get better pics more customizable options and don't have to pay 25 cents to send poor quality pics.

I have an extra brand new Optio S5I digital camera if anyone is interested. Its smaller than the 8000 😁 😁

Can your digital camera send a picture across the country 10 seconds after you took it?

Sure, I can pop the sd card into a PDA and send it wireless through there. ,OK so that might take 11 seconds. 🤣

Is your phone faster than a speading bullet? Can your phone leap tall buildings in a single bound? Can your phone bend steel with bare hands?

I am patient enough to wait to get home to send the much better quality pics for free. 😁

It must be great to be ignorant.

USB cable = free transfer, and only costs 8 bucks.

Granted, a digital camera may take better pics, and have a much friendlier means of transfering (Memory card), but the quality from the vx8000 is amazing. Most people would have NO need for quality much better than the vx8000.

I too have a small digital camera (Casio Exilim z55), but it is much more convienient to have an "everyday camera" with you in an all-in-one device, especially one as nice as the 8000's. Carrying a cell phone AND a digital camera is much more of a hassle. And if you lose your bag or if you get robbed, you lose two great devices instead of one.

Also, if you think the vx8000 is so huge, compare it to any of other the high-end ...

Boy, you must be beyond ignorant then. Anyone one in their right mind knows that using OPTICAL zoom is much better than digital zoom. The 8000 does not offer Optical and it's only digital. So there you have it. I recommend stopping off at your local camera shop and signing up for classes....

If your so happy with the quality of the pics the 8000 takes, then you would have no problem hiring a photographer and him walking in on your special occasion with a 8000 in hand. Let me know if that day ever comes, you can hire me and i'll even come armed with 2 8000's one in each hand.

As long as the pictures are taken well. In america, we don't have to pay for things we don't like. People just associate BIGGER = BETTER, when that is not always the case.

And reguarding your other reply.. I never said the 8000 was better than a real digital camera. You need glasses or need to take classes in other things than photogrophy.

Optical zoom is great, I never said it wasn't, but for a PHONE, the vx8000 is just simply amazing.

Actually this phone takes really nice pictures it's just the phone dose not display them very good. At first I thought it was a problem with the phone but once I started transferring pictures to my computer they look way better.
