LG VX-8000
question!!!
today i went to my local vzw store and saw the 8000, such a nice phone, when i started asking questions about the phone, NONE of the employees knew about it 👿, so my question to you guys is what do the buttons on the outside do? can they play music without headphones?

🙂 The buttons on the outside are primarily for playing MP3s. However that won't be available for a while. 😕 Cool thing is when your phone is closed and you receive a call or text or anything like that you can use the buttons to read the text, see the missed call, etc. 😎

If you have a data cable for the VX7000 or VX6100, you can place mp3's on your phone and play them from the front screen through the speakers. Sounds decent for the size of the speakers.

Have you tried using the Mobile Office Kit for another phone to connect with a PC, or syncing contacts using the data cable from another phone? Curious if anyone can get this to work...

The USB cable for the LG 4500, but the Quicklink Mobile Phonebook doesn't recognize the 8000.
