Font size doesn't change

What's the deal with the Font setting in Display Settings/Fonts? There are two options. Normal and Large. I see no difference when I change between the two.

Anyone ever get the yellow caution sign when uploading pics?

Hey guys, has anyone ever got that yellow caution sign with an exclamation mark, after loading a pic to your phone? I used qpst and and followed a tutorial and when i looked in my phone's picture gallery there was a yellow caution sign instead of the pic. Anyone know why this happened? Thanks

anyone else have this problem

i have been taking pictures of my friends and putting them as their pic id when they call...what i've noticed is...they work right away..but as u take more pictures, they get confused and show up on the wrong name..i think it has somethin to do with the PIC id remembering witch place its in...not the pic its self..so when u take a pic and its 8/20 then u take another pic that is above in alphabetical order or somethin it becomes 9/20 so it messes it up..i dont understand it..anyone know how to fix it?

Hey, Guitar-man...

I know you really like to push the 8000 and that's fine. I'd buy one except for one HUGE problem I have with it. I will NEVER buy a phone with a voice-memo button that is located on the lower 1/2 pf the phone. Gets in my way. Therefore, I have to favor on the side of the V710. Too many side-buttons, but at least they are located up high. 😁

Is the 7000 cable same as 8000?

Is the vx7000 usb cable an exact fit for the vx8000 (The verizon vx7000 mobile office kit in particular)? I have a vx6000 usb cable from my old phone and it fits in realllly tight. It works but I know someday it'll break the phone. So I don't want to buy another so called vx8000 cable on ebay that is really for vx6000. Thanks

Lost Ringtones

I recently used Datapilot for the first time to transfer a midi file to my phone. Prior to doing this I had spent a good bit of change on downloading ringtones from ModTones and X-Ringer. When I transferred my first midi file to the phone it wiped out all the previous downloaded ringtones. I can't see them when I go to the Ringtones menu, but when I open ModTones and use the "Manage Tones" menu item I can see and hear all the ringtones I lost, and it's not like they are being streamed either. But when I try to "Set Tone" I get "Tone is not set!". Any I dea how to get my tones back?

best way....

And every ringtone does count as a pic message, so if you go over the 20, 0r 40 that you pay for every month than you will be charged 25 cents ea.
And for everyone who wants to send them properly, here are the 30 sec ringtone details again, I wrote a long time ago for the v710, 9900, 8000.

I dont know if you all know about this 30 sec mp3 free music clip trick or not, but here it is. I can not take credit for this, I actually found it on another forum and think its worth spreading.
For free 30 sec mp3 music:
-Go to Walmart.com, search under Music, do any kind of specific search like sound effects or broad search like rock.
-Click on any album and scroll down, wal...

software update?

Does anyone know if there's going to be a software update for the phone correcting following problem/issue??
-after using VCAST the pics cannot be saved on it's best settings unless you reset the phone by turning it off.
-MP3 player. (does it even have a MP3 player?)

If there's an update, how will they update our phones?

Help me decide on which phone to get..

I am debating between the LG 8000 and the LG7000. I would like to know if anybody has had or heard of any problems with these phones. So far, from what I am reading, the 7000 seems like the phone to go with as there are people reporting problems with the 8000 already such as shutting off on its own, and freezing up, have not seen that in this forum on the 7000 yet.

Any ideas would be helpful. The 8000 offers VCAST, but, that don't matter to me, wont be using that. Besides the speaker phone part of the 8000, and VCAST, that is about the main differences between the 2 and the 7000 is $70 cheaper. As of now, I am leaning toward the 7000 unless you guys can tell me different. And I am not interested in a motorola, back in the startac days, ye...

Recording ringtones

I have read somewhere that you can record sound on the phone, and then set that as your ringtone. First off, is this possible, and second, if I was to record a song (30 seconds or less, right?) and set that as my ringtone, would it sound good enough to use?

Also is this phone as gargantuan as it looks on paper? Still haven't gotten the chance to see one, and am purchasing it sight - unseen.

Thanks a lot.
