LG VX-8000

This is really starting to piss me off. It happen with the lg vx6000 and bitpim. It works fine for the first few weeks and then all of a sudden it just stops working. I cant connect. I have the lg vx8000 and have been transferering mp3's and such since i got it...now all of a sudden it cant open the port. anyone else have this problem? how did u fix it?

I've been using the VX8000 for about two weeks, and love it.
I do have a few questions though. Is there a way to view how much memory is being used/free by the applications, photos, videos, and messages?
Also, when I get multiple calls in a row from the same person, it only shows the most recent call instead of all of them. Is there a way to change this so it shows every call?

Looking to back up my phone up. As well as take the pics off the phone, download ring tones, etc...

I found a great clip (maybe slightly longer than 30 seconds) and I emailed it to my phone. I went to save it and it said "file exceeds 30mb".

Is there a way around this-- I'd really like to use this as a ringer as it sounds great.

Hey guys, I had a futuredial vx6000 usb cable that I used to use for my 8000. I was getting tired of pushing and wiggliing it in and sometimes not fully connecting. So I got on ebay and bought one of those cheap usb cables (you know the cheap shi* for 7 bucks w/ shipping). Anyone i bought that one because it was the only one that did not state that it charges the phone while connected to the comp. I was trying to stay away from cheap chargers because it would probably screw up my phone. Well turns out this one does charge while connected. Now heres the real problem, when connected it immediately begins to charge and the phone gets fully charged in like one minute and blinks with "fully charged". Then when u disconnect it, the battery level...

Hey guys, I'm a new member. I have a question for u guys and to see what your opinions are. I am eligible for an early upgrade for my phone when it is really in November wanted to get the LG VX8000 but now i hear the new 8100 which is coming out around 4th quarter. I am really stuck and i do not no what to do. I really want the 8000 but if i get it its gna be my next phone for 2 years.But if i wait then ill get the 8100. So help me i do not Know what to do.

I decided to see if the A210 and BT200 would work better using the 8000 instead of the last time I tried this using an LG 4500.


The headset buttons of course does not answer or end calls. You can keep the flip closed and answer the call using the front play/stop button and end the call using the rewind button. The headset stays on for about a minute after you or the other party ends the call and then goes into standby mode. There is a small amount of static before going into standby mode and then its silent. When you get a call, the handsets speaker gives you the ringtone. Connection speed between the headset and phone seems pretty quick as I haven't lost a call.

Can someone please tell me in "English" how to put my phone pictures on my PC using the USB Cable. I looked through howard forums, etc. Do I need to download bitmap to do this?

Please understand that I am not a mechanical engineer or a calculus expert. I would appreciate step by step instructions in the native english language.

Hello, anyone know why I can only put one mp3 on my phone, I'm using an Futuredial cable, It shows more than one song in the directory, but on the phone when I press the little button on the front it only show one song there.

I have subdivided my contact list into groups...such as friends, business, relatives etc.........I was placing my 12th entry in my "friends" group and received a message that said "member list is full".....I had to place my friends number in the no group catagory.

Does any one know how to expand the group list beyond 12 names per catagory?

I really like this phone a lot. I dont care about the size the quality of the screens are perfect. my problem is when i have spkr enabled and i answer a call I cant hear the person calling me unless i fiddle with the volume on the side of the phone. It happens sometimes not for every call. Its very strange. Besides that I have no complaints. N e suggestions and does n e bodyelse have this problem?

I went to a Local H concert the other night and on the way there was goofing around taking pictures in the car and it said memory full!!! I only had about 45 pictures and about 10 videos...no music or anything else, but it wouldn't let me take anymore pictures! i thought you could store tons more than that. I know you can store more than a hundred on the 7000. How many pictures do you guys have stored on yours? Anyone else get the same thing?

I would like to suggest that when posting a comment/complaint, the writer should let everyone know what state/city/county etc. of the U.S.A. they reside in. I think it would help people make a better informed decision when choosing a phone because the phone and service may not work great in their area yet work fantastic somewhere else.

according to what lg tells me there is only a certain amount of memory allotted to ringtones out of the 5.97 mb in application memory.
im assuming application memory is where ringtones are stored, because under contents memory i have 0% filled up. my question is this is there a way to increase the memory of this phone so that you may enjoy a larger selection of ringtones. For example, inserting a memory card into the phone that is of larger capacity or something in that realm of thought?
