I am debating between the LG 8000 and the LG7000. I would like to know if anybody has had or heard of any problems with these phones. So far, from what I am reading, the 7000 seems like the phone to go with as there are people reporting problems with the 8000 already such as shutting off on its own, and freezing up, have not seen that in this forum on the 7000 yet.

Any ideas would be helpful. The 8000 offers VCAST, but, that don't matter to me, wont be using that. Besides the speaker phone part of the 8000, and VCAST, that is about the main differences between the 2 and the 7000 is $70 cheaper. As of now, I am leaning toward the 7000 unless you guys can tell me different. And I am not interested in a motorola, back in the startac days, ye...

If you don't need speaker and v cast then I would go with the 7000. Why not save $70 if you don't need those other features. I have the 8000 and so far I have yet to have any of the problems others are complaining about. But I love having the speaker phone and that is very important to me.

You also love wrapping your phone in condoms and buying holsters that not only throw your phone on the floor, but they pick up the pieces as well. Did I miss anything?

And the moral to the story is to practice safe phoning. If the phone shall fall and shatter into pieces at least there is a holster that picks them up.. 😁

I would recommend the 8000 by far. The speakerphone alone is worth the extra $70. It is the best speakerphone I have ever had, and that is including land line phones.

The camera quality (if you will use it) is absolutely phenomenal and the uses that the phone has without even opening it are amazing. You can do many things with the 8000 without even opening the phone. I find that to be an amazing convenience.

Hope this helps.

I agree but if the dude wants to save $40 than the 7000 is an option but the $70 extra is definitely worth it. One of the many useful features the phone has is the ability (while closed) to wrap itself in a condom. 😁

The extra $70 will get you a speaker phone, nice external display and a mp3 player. I think it's a GREAT DEAL!

Go for the 8000!
