Problem with the service or phone??

Does anybody have problems with the VZ service or the 8330, I have the curve, but for some reason for the past 2 days all I hear is a lot of static on the line, I'm not sure if it's the phone or the VZ? Can any one help? 😲

Can't Delete Pictures from Media Card on Sprint Curve

Does anyone have this issue? I had it with the Pearl and now with the Curve. The Option to delete is missing when you are viewing pictures on the media card. What gives?

Absolutely horrendous voice dialing

I've had the Curve 8330 from Verizon for over a month now and haven't tried the voice dialing until about a week ago.

I have to tell you, this is the absolute worst implementation of voice dialing ever.

I say, "Call Angie mobile" it responds with, "did you say patty lee? did you say, chris lee, did you say Rosie?"

WTH!? I've given up on the voice dial all together.

Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but wow. I'm truly disgusted with it. What's the point now of having a BT headset? I still have to look at my phone to dial....argh!

If anyone has any suggestions..I'd appreciate it. Maybe there'll be a software fix in the future, but i'm still in awe at how bad it is.

Memory Issues?

I am considering buying a Curve on Verizon. I plan to install Opera Mini 4.1, BB Smart Email Viewer, and the upcoming Documents to Go. Will I run into any problems with available memory?

Saving battery life

Anyone have some tips to save battery life? Any applications that use it up without me knowing?

I am new to BB so this is all kind of confusing. I am getting the hang of it though. Just wanted to see if anyone has any tips to help me out.

Also- any BB tips in GENERAL would be great too. I have JiveTalk and Mini Opera downloaded...so at least I'm that far 🤣

VZW Curve extended battery?

Will there be an extended capacity battery for the verizon curve? I am barely making it through the day, and I don't have a place to charge it.

Verizon Curve Addendum

I purchased a blackberry curve on EBAY
called verizon and switched my phones

They did not force me to take any data/message plan and the phone works gorgeously.

So for any persons looking to do this, it is feasible. If i were any of you, i wouldnt listen to the people who THINK they know, but have no idea.

Cheers!!!

Blackberry Maps (or other maps) help please

I decided on buying this phone as a replacement to my unresolved issues with the KRZR K1m. I was not up for spending money on the off chance that a replacement phone I get would not have the poor battery life it got compared to the actual time it was supposed to get after having had 4 total phones with the same exact problem. But anyways to the point of this thread.

In researching this phone I was of the understanding Blackberry Maps or other maps programs could be used for free so there was no need to subscribe to some sort of monthly service to look at maps and get directions. In several instances I recall reading that this included step by step voice directions as long as it wasn't one of the few 3rd party companies softwares that char...

Yahoo emails erasing on Curve

Is anyone else emails disappearing from their Curve? I woke up this morning and all my emails were gone except one and I have the option of keeping my emails for 6 months (if I haven't erased them). Is this normal? What's happening?!?

Yahoo E-Mail On Curve

Is there any way to sync Yahoo E-Mail on the Curve? If so, can you sync the contacts, too? Can you see the HTML attachments?

VZ 6900 vs Curve

I just got the VZ 6900 and the more I use it the more I like it but I am considering the Curve. My thoughts after 3 weeks with 6900;

-impossible to see the screen outside
-phone quality is barely acceptable same with speaker phone
-Spb software makes the phone very friendly

I read the comments on the Curve and it seems like a homerun. I need a quality phone first, then easy email access and the rest is nice but not primary. I have never used a BB. Is the screen problem oustide with the 6900 a symptom of touch screens or does the BB Curve have the same problem.

Thoughts appreciated

BB Messenger Voice Note

Has anyone else tried to use this?
You are engaged in a chat with someone and you can select: Record a voice note.
Then send it just like you would send an IM to someone and they get your voice recorded in the message ready for playback.
Saves using voice minutes for leaving a voice mail....

If anyone wants to try it, send me an e-mail here and I will send you my pin.

Browser opinions needed...

As I await my Curve, I've been imagining what extra stuff I'm gonna install, etc.

I know I'm not going to use Blackberry's browser.

But should I go for MiniMo (mozilla firefox mobile) or Opera Mini? I know that Opera Mini is great (it renders web pages hella faster than others is what I've heard) but I don't REALLY know the pros & cons or any sort of comparison between the two.

Anybody here have any opinions, knowledge, or experience with either? Maybe some helpful web links or something?

Thanks in advance. 🙂
