Twice now in two weeks I could not hear phone calls the person I was talking to heard me fine but I couldn't hear them. I pulled battery out to reset and all was good, has anyone else experienced this or have any input.
Thank you in advance

YES it has. the first 2 days i had the phone it did it to me twice.! Whats up with this?but its weird because the other person can hear you fine....and you can send messages fine. Both times I had to send a text to wait a minute so i could reset the phone!

nine17 are you using bluetooth?

Don't know if it was coincidence but I turned off bluetooth and have no longer experienced this. could it be there is a glitch in the bluetooth. I certainly hope not I love my headset.

My 8830 has done this before with my blue tooth head set.
If you leave your headset on and your phone is set automatically connect to it, then once you're with in about 20-30 ft your sound will go to the head set.

Just contacted Tech Support about this and was told to go get a new phone. I went to VZW store with old phone and walked out 20min later with a new one I hope there was something wrong with the phone.

I had the same problem. After removing the battery and reinstalling it the problem cleared. I swapped the phone out anyway and so far so good. Did you have to delete and re config. you email accounts? I did . 🙄
I hope this is not a on going problem!! I do like the way this Blackberry works and hope to keep it. 🙂

For the first 4 phones I had just backed up my old phone and restored it to the new phone, on the 5th phone I figured maybe there was something wrong corrupted in my backup file (couldn't think of anything else) so I re-entered everything manually and I went a whopping 4 days with no problems thought I had and couldn't be more happy because I love the blackberry platform over any other smartphone. Then yesterday twice in one day once on a call from my work and here I am waiting 3 min for it to reset (seems like an eternity), I almost threw the phone out the car window.

Now I have a Q9c on order and I gave up until the bold if that ever comes but I just can't deal with this anymore especially after paying $479 with tax for full retail

I did have the same problem guys . I do not own a bluetooth headset.

I contacted verizon tech and told him the problems we are having with the phones. He said he was going to contact Rim and get back in touch with me in a few days. While we were on the phone he went to phone scoop website to read can not hear phone calls reviews on the forum.

But this is not a big issue. I still gives the phone a five.

Old forum sorry to bring it up again but curious if any one else had this problem I have now been through 5 phones and I am having endless problems with no audio certain times on phone calls. A simple reset will correct the problem but thats annoying trying to wait 2 min for that to happen. Could there be something I am doing wrong?
I do a ton of media messaging Could that have anything to do with it?
This is now happening about two to three times a week.

Other wise I love the phone but I might be forced to get something else.

Yes Sir, and everyone leaves me with the same problem, one more time and I will have to try something else I only have until June 6th for my 30 day trial. I don't understand what is going on. VZW is helpful with giving me new phones but can't give me any answer as to what is causing this

Its got to be something you're doing. 6 phones in less than 20 days and they are all malfunctioning? That just doesn't seem right at all. I can't imagine that each of the six phones you got are experiencing the same issue. If they were, I'm sure more people would be complaining about the phone on forums like these.

thats what I am assuming as well but nobody is able to give me an answer, don't know what level you are on but if you know anything that would be great.

here is how I use it email 10 per day, BB Messenger 30 per day, SMS 20, MMS 10 a week, occasional web browsing, I sync 2-3 times a week and back up once a week. Never keep any messages longer than a day if they are important save them to computer. I always monitor the file free to be sure that it isn't too low and clear out all my call logs.

I had this problem once with my previous Pearl and never thought a thing about it, but now it happens 4-5 times a week sometimes and I have only had for about 3.

VZW has no idea if you do thanks for any support

Yeah that sounds like pretty normal usage. That just seems so weird that you would be having those types of problems that consistently. I don't work for verizon, but I have friends that do. I will keep my ears open for any potential fixes.
