Absolutely horrendous voice dialing

I've had the Curve 8330 from Verizon for over a month now and haven't tried the voice dialing until about a week ago.

I have to tell you, this is the absolute worst implementation of voice dialing ever.

I say, "Call Angie mobile" it responds with, "did you say patty lee? did you say, chris lee, did you say Rosie?"

WTH!? I've given up on the voice dial all together.

Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but wow. I'm truly disgusted with it. What's the point now of having a BT headset? I still have to look at my phone to dial....argh!

If anyone has any suggestions..I'd appreciate it. Maybe there'll be a software fix in the future, but i'm still in awe at how bad it is.

if you're using a bluetooth it may be the headset that's creating the problem ya know.

I agree with you totally.
Bluetooth sounds great in your ear but to the person at the other end (or the voice dialer) is just plain stinks.
It is for that reason that I do not use a bluetooth.

The OP should try an experiment: Use the Voice dialing whit no headset and also if you have a wired headset, try that.

Those 2 ways work with my Blackberry.

In your menu, go to voice dialing and adjust your settings. I had a similar issue until I changed the sensitivity to -3 reject less, Name Playback Speed, 3 (Faster). Try that, it worked for me.
