I decided on buying this phone as a replacement to my unresolved issues with the KRZR K1m. I was not up for spending money on the off chance that a replacement phone I get would not have the poor battery life it got compared to the actual time it was supposed to get after having had 4 total phones with the same exact problem. But anyways to the point of this thread.

In researching this phone I was of the understanding Blackberry Maps or other maps programs could be used for free so there was no need to subscribe to some sort of monthly service to look at maps and get directions. In several instances I recall reading that this included step by step voice directions as long as it wasn't one of the few 3rd party companies softwares that char...

No I don't have a data package but from my research reviews and such indicated that no data package was required. This is in conflict with what I'm being told by sprint in light of having the phone and trying to use those features of the phone. With previous phones I could access the web and pay a casual use fee of 2 or 3 cents per KB which worked fine because I used it for only directly visiting a page or direct transfer of a file from a link. Previous phone i had no GPS capability. So no experience with other brands of phones in that area.
