VZW Curve problems

I got my curve 8339 a little over a week ago. When I first got it, the internet loaded pages rather quickly. For the past few days, it takes three minutes or longer to load the basic msn webpage. I haven't downloaded any applications yet, nor have I even set up my email on it. I tried closing every application to see if that was the problem. Any ideas on what I can do? I am using the phone in New Jersey just outside of NYC, so signal isn't the issue. Do I need to do a *228 update like I did on my old phone? Any advice is appreciated.

Anyone having BES problems?

I'm confused, i've called Sprint and BB directly and no one has an answer. I recently set up my corporate e-mail on my Curve. It worked fine for a couple of hours, but now I don't recieve corporate e-mails. I still get calender updates and can compose using my corporate e-mail, i just don't recieve them. The IT people began talking about BES and BIS and what I had. They just confused me even more. If it had anything to do with the account I have, why would it have worked in the beginning? And why can i send e-mails and recieve calender updates? Anyone out there having similar problems?

a little confused about the whole gps/maps thing.

I do not want the vzw navigation...and I havent tried going to google.com and pulling up there maps.......but the 8330 curve has a featured icon with maps as well as a directions option on the home screen. This feature is great, it seems to work really well. Is this what everyone is talking about being disabled? if not than whats wrong with this instead of G Maps. Im just confused on what everyone is complaining about in regards to the gps/map features. Im new to the crackberry 8330 and just trying to figure it out. Thanks.

Picture mail on sprint curve

I activated my curve last night and I had somebody send picture mail to me just to test it. It showed up "you have picture mail" and i was able to click on the link to view the picture. Today someone else sent picture mail and I couldn't click on the link at all. I had the person that sent it to me the first time send the same one and the same thing happened. the url isn't showing up as a link, just text and I'm not able to view the picture but I was able to last night. Any suggestions?

Ringer/Sound Profile Bypass

Does anyone know if there's a way to bypass the ringer / sound profile settings and manually set the sound/vibrate mode for each type of event on my 8310 Curve?

Basically I want the phone to vibrate if I get a call, but do nothing if I get an email. It's driving me crazy that I can't set these things independently and that I must chose a "profile". The "vibrate" profile vibrates when I get emails, and the "phone only" profile is silent on emails but rings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Help for BB newbie...

I have a couple of quetions:

-I know someone posted this earlier, but I couldn't find it. When someone sends me picture mail i get the link and it worked the first time, but now it seems I can't click the link. There's a fix for this i just couldn't find the previous post.

-Is there a way to setup send SMSText message as a shortcut. I have my convinience key to compose, but its a hastle because compose can mean call, text or e-mail and it will do whatever the last action you peformed on that contact was.

Thanks and Appreciate it.

PocketMac or MissingSync??

I have a Mac and would love to sync my Blackberry with it, however, I am not familiar with either the PocketMac or MissingSync. Is anyone familiar with either software? If so, which one would you recommend?!?!?!?!?!

MAC's + BB's?

Currently I have the 8830 and a MAC. I'm using pocketmac to sync everything and am not totally satisfied with the results.
I've tried entourage and macs email, address book, iCal, etc...all with the same so so results.
If I have something in my calender for 5pm, when I sync it I now the same event listed at 7am and 5pm, and they're tripled up in my to do list and I never put them there in the first place.

And things in my to do list all get synced to the same time no matter time I had it set for.
So if I had some at 8am and then 9am-11:30am, it would all be synced for noon.

Another problem I've had when I sync, I have it set to sync emails sent from my BB so my inbox is identical.
What ends happening is all the emails go to my inbo...

Stupid Question:

Do most of you visit this forum and others from your phone or do you wait till you're at a computer?

Me honestly, I've tried forums from my BB and tend to get impatient.

I was wondering if it is possible to stream video online with the blackberry? I am trying to watch my TV shows on it from NBC, but I cannot get the media player to work. Is it possible, do i need another application, or are my hopes to high? Thanks.

Curve Browser

I'm in need of a new phone and my choice are narrowed down to the Verizon Curve or the iPhone. The AT&T network and no keyboard is holding me back from the iPhone and the browser is holding me back on the Curve.

So... how does the Internet browser function? I have a 8700 and the mobile only browsing is pretty bad. Is there HTML browsing on the Curve? If not, is the Curve at least better than my 8700?

Any other inputs on Curve vs iPhone is appreciated (but try to not ignore my main questions above).

Thanks!
