VZW Curve problems

I got my curve 8339 a little over a week ago. When I first got it, the internet loaded pages rather quickly. For the past few days, it takes three minutes or longer to load the basic msn webpage. I haven't downloaded any applications yet, nor have I even set up my email on it. I tried closing every application to see if that was the problem. Any ideas on what I can do? I am using the phone in New Jersey just outside of NYC, so signal isn't the issue. Do I need to do a *228 update like I did on my old phone? Any advice is appreciated.

Advance devices are like little computers... sometimes they just need to be turned off. Try turning it off and pulling the battery. I would think that would take care of your problem. I mean, you wouldn't leave your computer on 24/7 would ya?

P.S. I've had the same problem.. it usually comes and goes

I did turn it off a couple of days ago for about an hour. The internet was no better. I know it can be faster because it was much better when I first bought it. Sometimes, I can be sitting in one place, and my signal bars will really change. I can go from 5 bars down to 1, then it will hold there. It might drop to no bars, or start to climb its way back up. Do BB devices do the same *228 update as regular phones from vzw?

Try clearing the cookies. Just like regular PC's when the internet gets slow, you need to clear the cookies, cache, temp folders, etc.

When in the BB Browser hit the menu Key scroll down to Options, There you will see Cache Operations as soon as you click on that you will see Clear History, It will actually be highlighted, just clear everything, then the browser will Restart.
