Sprint Curve Pushed back indefinitely

Call some of your local stores and ask if it is still coming tomorrow or on the 20th, and if they've even gotten their inventory. You can also contact customer care. The date had been pushed back til June 1st. Now it's been pushed back "indefinitely".

Is it too late?

There is a rumor that a new Blackberry 9000 is going to be released soon. So while the CDMA version of the Curve is 1+ year(s) late, the GSM folks will get another new device.

The article calls it the successor to the 8800, but I am pretty sure you can consider it as a successor to the Curve as well.

coming out around same time as 3G iPhone

I have been waiting for the Verizon Curve for ever. Recently I purchased my wife an iPod touch and have to say the user interface, and functionality is exceptional.

The VZ Curve is coming out right around the same time as the new 3G iPhone. I will evaluate both before deciding to go with one or the other. I bet many others will do the same.

3rd party gps

I have a separate bluetooth gps device. Can I use it with a 8330 and a 3rd party gps application to get mapping on the phone and avoid the Verizon charge for gps??

April 2008?

So it says that the "Planned Availability" is for April 2008, but does anyone have any idea if that is for VZW, Sprint, or both? ๐Ÿ™„

Blackberry Redirector question

Okay, I know this probably isn't the right forum for this question, but here goes. I work for a small company. Because of the costs involved to do anything else, I would have to use Blackberry Desktop Redirector to forward my emails to a Blackberry. I currently use a Palm 755 with PC Monitor Wireless Sync. That part works great, but the Palm sucks as a telephone. My question is this: with BB Redirector, would my email be the only thing to sync wirelessly? Would I have to plug in my BB to sync my contacts and calendar?

I have asked this question many times but get a different answer from every VZW person I talk to. I can't find the info anywhere on BB's website.

Thanks for your help!

Coming Soon!!

Ahh, I can't wait for the Curve to hit Verizon. Finally, a sleek, small smartphone, with blackberry's reknowned quality and features, with 3G tethering capability, video-recording, and basically, a true, all-in-one device.
