Does the Curve for Verizon really have 3G?

I was reading a review on this phone by bkw79
and he mentioned his has 3G.

"I've had this phone for Verizon, since the morning of May 2nd. This size is absolutely perfect. Not as tiny as the pearl, but it's slim and compact, not as bulky as the Blackberry 8800 series, or the Blackjack1 and 2, and or the Motorola Q series, and it still has the best qwerty keyboard out of all of them. Unlike the GSM version, this one has 3G, which has been great so far with tethering. I've tethered for a couple of days now, and it's lightening fast."

I was reading the specs on verizons site and they mentioned nothing about it having 3G.
Can anyone else confirm this?
And what's tethering?

Call Log & Txts ERASES each night

I've had my BB for a week. The past two nights in a row, my call logs are completely empty along with every txt message. All that is left in my mailbox icon (verizon) is emails. It happened the night before last in the middle of the night and last night at 10:25pm.

WTF?

My call log looks as tho i've never received a single call or dial out ever!

And I have no sent or received txt messages!

Then my day begins and I load them back up and sure sure enough they were erased again last night.

What setting do I have that has made this happen?

Bold vs. Curve for Verizon

I've been waiting for the Curve to come out for Verizon and just ordered it and should have by Tuesday.

But I had no idea about the Bold.

For me size is important but so is functionality and all the other cool ****.

Would you wait for the Bold, is it expected to be that much better?

Gmail & Blackberry

When I SEND a message FROM my blackberry handheld using my gmail email address I automatically receive the exact same message TO my blackberry as though I sent it to myself...

I have not owned a blackberry since 2005 and just recently purchased the Curve. The last time I owned a blackberry I vaguely remembered having the same problem, so I went into the gmail settings and created a filter that skips the inbox and archives it when a message is received from my gmail email address and that still doesn't seem to work.

....any help anyone is able to provide will be tremendous help
- THANKS

Mac Friendly

Just curious as to why...in this day & age Macs are becoming more and more popular and prestigious (new poles out for the most popular lap top owned my college students in US,.. among many other popularity poles against PC's....) that my BB Curve did not come with a BB Manager CD that is compatible to Apple.

Of course this in no offense to PC'ers!! I work in the ENT world and Macs are dominated and actually PC's are frowned upon. Why has this been recognized that it is crazy not to have both options? Does BB have a deal with Microsoft?

Having suggested this idea, does anyone predict the collaboration of the two?

Color

Anyone have any idea if the red one, with a supposed release date of June 1st, will be the same color red as the Pearl (I hope) or more like the Centro which looks to me like a red hot candy red or something else entirely?

Sprint to drop voice dialing

I have been having issues with my new 8330 from Sprint. The phone hangs when I try and voice dial. I called tech support and was told that Srint is getting ready to discontinue voice dialing on all its phones.

That seems very odd since in July California requires hands free calling from all cell phones.

I think I am going to return the phone and stay with Verizon. 😳

BlackBerry maps question??

I haven't recieved my Curve yet, and its going to be my first BB ever, so i'm not familiar with BB maps. I understand the Sprint curve has the GPS enabled for BB maps, what does that mean? And whats the difference between BB maps with GPS and Sprint GPS?

Haven't gotten my Curve yet, but have a question . . .

Will I have to sync it first thing when I get it and do I just hook it up to the USB and my personal cpu and go from there? I don't want to do BES b/c of sensitivity of info w/my company . . .just my personal email accounts and whatnot is all I need . . .I'll have more questions once I get it and start playing around w/it . . .but will everything be pre-loaded on the phone to where I won't have to call tech support like I did w/my Mogul last yr to have them reset my Internet options?

CDMA Bold set for September

Infosync is reporting a release of the CDMA Blackberry Bold for September according to this:

http://reviews.infosyncworld.com/cell-phones/compare ... »

That sucks, I figured it wouldn't come out till next year sometime like the Curve did. If this is the case, I might as well cancel my order for the Curve and wait for the Bold since it will have a camera and probably better multimedia capabilities.

Blackberry download limits

The blackberry rep told me that you can not download a file larger than 5 megs period. When I tried to download a large mp3 it said file too large. I tried using opera mini to download but it errored out. If this is true this is a huge limitation. What is the truth?

Recieved my phone last night, sending it back tonight

It took me only a few hours to realize that "Blackberry" is not for me.

Some issues I have with it that I really liked about the Q.

- When archiving e-mails from Outlook inbox to personal folders, mail does not delete on the phone. I don't like having two inboxes with different information in each. They should be synced at all times in my opinion.

- I don't like the fact that the mail does not get seperated into seperate folders (e.g. inbox, outbox, sent items, etc). The fact that all my inbox and sent messages, as well as all my text messages and POP3 messages all appear in the same message folder is not desirable for me as I prefer to keep my work account and personal accounts seperate.

- The calender, in my opinion, is less...
