Why do you have to load the artwork as a separate process? Why can't it simply recognize the art like the ipod, blackberry, instinct and so on?
Also, if I use VCAST Rhapsody to go will it recognize the artwork?

Dare I be Disappointed?
I spent about 30 minutes yesterday at my local VZW store checking the Dare out. I was quite disappointed, especially after reading so many positive reviews and comments here. I usually find the reviews and comments on the mark but not this time.
The phone's UI didn't seem to flow in a logical manner. The touchscreen was nice but had quite a few quirks. The text / email features does not have predictive text which I find useful when in a hurry. Even the 3.2mp camera was not a huge improvement over my Pearl 2mp camera.
I'm glad to see so many are pleased with this phone. I just wanted to add my experience to give balance to those lurking around here.

n00b help
Help....I just got this phone, ordered an 8 gb card, and trying to upload music pics and videos using the verizon software. I can only get music on it, saince there is only a "my music" folder. how do I get more folders on there so i can add everything else. The software says to just drag and drop, but its not working.

Dare, BB Curve or wait for Thunder?
Hello All! My NE2 comes up next month. I am really considering the Dare. Should I get that or the BB Curve? Should I wait for the Thunder. I would like to cut down on monthly costs. I currently have the MotoQ. I can't wait to get rid of it. Thanks for your help!

need help with the lock on the phone
what happens is that i will lock the phone on the home screen using the lock button and seven seconds later the screen pops back up. how do i keep the screen off and locked.

SDIO???
Does the Dare have the ability?? Basically, I am wondering if it can support an sd wi-fi card. I know that the PDA's have this ability(SDIO), and some have built in wi-fi. Just wanted to know if the Dare had it?!?

silly issues - connecting arrows go wrong way !
funny, I noticed last night using the Web, or Music, or something that brought up the red and black arrows that go around while "connecting", that they rotate in the wrong direction, looked silly ......

Picture shortcuts go missing
Has anybody had their photo id shortcuts go missing randomly? I searched and didn't find any threads on this. I haven't figured out what triggers them to go missing every once in a while. Sometimes it is a couple of them, sometimes just one. This started happening after I went to a premium plan and started accessing the net and such. Was just curious if anybody else has come across this and/or knows the solution. If I have overlooked any info on this please kindly send me in the right direction.

Gotta say I was not impress with the phone.
I guess i wasn't impress mainly because LG has no support fo Mac at all. Even third party software is useless.
It never sync well with my mp3s. Some would have album art some wouldn't. Music organization wasn't very good either. I like to have at least 100 songs with me. I was not able to create a play list nor get out of album mode. The worst thing is having to scroll through hundreds of songs to get the one you like.
As for the full htlm browser, that's a lie. I barely can see any of my websites on it. I talk to tech support and verizon said if the site is not "mobile web" friendly it most likely not even show up.
Also the touch navigation wasn't that all smooth. Mostly I ended up clicking when i was trying to scroll or clicking...

LG Dare , How much memory comes with the phone?
Im curious i think the Iphone has about 8g. I've already ordered the phone but out of fear i got the 4gb mem stick incase. Anyone know?

Video Playback very low volume
Hey guys,
I just wanted to know if this issue was unique just to my device or if this is trully an issue with the dare.
When I go to youtube and stream a video the volume is very low, wether I listen through the speaker or headphones. This problem is also prevalent when I listen to videos saved on the phones memory.
I love this phone, but this might be my only gripe.
Let me know.

Does anyone know how to:
1. Organize the sounds and Music lists alphabetically?
2. Make Sounds into Ring-tones? (As in moving items from the Sounds folder to the Ring-tones folder.)

Headphone Jack
Just a FYI: you can take out the headphone jack plug and stick into a screw hole under the battery cover.

dare vs. iPhone
Can someone that has used both phones compare these two for me. I have an iPhone now and the touchscreen is awesome and very responsive. i've used the LG VU and it's really not that good as far as the touch response, but the camera is pretty good and also has mms, video, a2dp, and flash. thank you in advance. 😁

Some Q's.
Your review doesn't show an example of video being recorded at 640x480. This is supposed to be possible, though it only records at 15fps. (I don't have a dare, so I'm just going on what I saw elsewhere on the web.)
Is the navigation software the same one on the enV? Is it better or worse than the enV?
Does the music syncing software (or any other software the phone requires) run on macs?

bluetooth conection
I just got the new lg dare from verizon and i have been having a problem with the plantronics discovery 610 working properly. it connects to the phone but sometime when i push to talk the phone will show that in understood my command but i cannot hear anything.I have to keep reeboting the headset. same thing happens when incomming call comes in I can answer the call but I cannot hear them and they cannot hear me. what do i do. it workrd fine with my old lg 8600. can anyone help?

Missed call or text LIGHT?
Is there any LED notification of a missed call, etc while the main screen is OFF and on STANDBY?
