I CAN COPY OR GE MY RINGTONES FROM THE ENV2 OVER TO HE DARE

WITHOUT USING THE DARE TO RECORD THE RINGTONE AS A SOUND (AS THAT WILL PROBABLY CONTRIBUTE TO LOSS OF CLARITY)

just curious to see if anyone has gotten the invisible shield or Best Skins ever for their dare. any pics?

also, im wondering if the solution that you squeegee out from under the skin puddles up in the sides of the device. if so, wouldnt this leak into the phone since the screen is recessed?

Hi, I'm considering the Dare (upgrading my Q), I'm stuck with Verizion Wireless due to my location (nothing else works here, period), anyway I have a couple questions that I'm hoping someone could answer for me:

1) Will the Dare support IMAP
2) Will the Dare support multiple email accounts (work account, gmail, yahoo, etc...). If so how many will it handle?
3) Will the Dare sync with Outlook (I just care about my calendar and contacts, I get all email via IMAP)
4) I see the Dare has a mapping application, does this work properly with the phones GPS? Is it any good?

OK, that's more than a couple of questions, but if any of you have the answers it would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

I set a couple of pictures for my picture id, but the picture is really small. Does anyone know how to make the picture bigger when someone calls in?? Thanks.

I'll admit it. I know nothing about itunes other than you can download them onto the iphone and ipod. I've never used it before. Limewire, FTW!!! 😛

I work for an indirect VZW location and since the release of the Dare i've been getting tons of questions about whether or not you can load songs from itunes onto the phone. I don't know what to tell my customers when this question comes up. Can someone clear this up for me, and if this can be done, are there other phones in VZW's lineup that can support itune songs?

How acurate is it? Any drawbacks?
Can you make notes while writing?
Do you have to write one letter, wait for it to process, then write another? Or can you write multiple letters ar once?

It don't seem very logical to one by one it, unless you are to lazy to tap the phone style keypad.

Has anybody heard when the ESPN MVP service will be available for the Dare as well the Music ID software, both of these are great apps that i'm use to having on my phone.

For all of you that have this phone, how is the vibrate? Strong enough to feel in your pant pocket?

Quick question. Does the dare require you to have the nationwide calling plan like the voyager or the glyde or can it work on the older one?

Ok I've had the phone for a day, and I'm getting use to it, it seems like a nice unit so far. I concure with others here...you can't adjust to this phone to know if it is good or not in 30 min., it has a learning curve. I'm not ready to do a review yet, but thanks to those who have.

Q1: For this phone specifically, has anyone fiqured out how to modify (or if you can) the listed contact groups the phone comes with?

Q2: Not for this phone specifically, but VZW, has anyone fiqured out a work around of the 10 contacts per group limit?

how do you bring up the dial pad to either text or put in your code for your voicemail? ive tried everything

I love the animated wallpaper but don't really like the selections is there anywhere that I could get more???

How is the quality of the speakerphone? Are the volume and clarity good enough so you can lay the phone on your desk and carry on a conversation with or without background noise? Is the speakerphone turned on/off by a button or side switch, or do you have to go through software commands to enable/disable speakerphone?

are the ringtones that come with the phone as different and cute as the env2 ringtones, or do they stink.

And does anyone know a way i could lift the ringtones off my env2 and place them on the dare if i get it.

In my text messages there is a little "face" next to the back space button. When this "face" is pressed it reads the text message. Is this on the phone itself or is it something Verizon is providing. I never noticed this on the LG8300. How would I turn this feature off/on? I think this is a cooling little feature....especially when your driving or staring at a hot girl walking by and cant read your text message. 😛

i have never used verizons mobile web before this phone. i am unable to stay signed in to multiple websites at the same time. if i log into phonescoop for exampe it will save my login info fine. but if i go and sign into another site it will store the other site instead and drop the first. called verizon and they said it is normal. dont understand why. is this what happens to everyone else? i done have another phone to try.

The touchscreen on this phone has already brought on some pretty tough reviews. I really wanted this phone but will probably wait for now...I had a really bad texting experience on the Instinct and this phone may have worse problems...I'm still going to look at it but....

I know that you can use bluetooth to transfer stuff, but I was wondering what the best way to get my music on there.

I have an ipod nano and I have spent a lot of time putting together a playlist on Itunes. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good way to get that playlist onto the dare?

I know you can put a playlist onto a cd, but I don't want to do that everytime....

Also, is there a good armband out there for this phone? I would like to use the MP3 player when I work out. I saw one on Verizon's website, but it did not look like it was designed for the Dare. It had a drawstring or something like that.

Does the Dare have WiFi?

I know it's a long shot, but it would be nice to be able to use this phone as an alarm when I'm overseas...any chance you can do this with this phone?

I currently have the 8700 which basically becomes a brick when I'm in Europe!
