Ever notice how quiet it is on this forum when taking into consideration how complex the Dare really is?

I personally think it speaks volumes as to how awesome this phone is!!

I try out most all the top end phones and this IMO is a keeper!

hey im writing this tread to see if anybody know where a can get the dare at a cheaper retail price than the one that was at the store for $409.99. I really want this phone but not at that price. And i cant upgrade till Oct so thats what really sucks, Verizon doesnt do early upgrades!?!?.. Someone please help me out here!!!!

I WAS WONDERING DID THE DARE HAVE YAHOO MESSENGER ON IT

hey guys i have the dare, and also have the original jawbone and a new blueant z9 with the 4.0 firmware. after a call, the blueant stops making sounds and disconnects, within a minute.

the jawbone was working fine, and now i get no sound but stays connected. anyone else having this type of bluetooth problem.

honestly the jawbone was workin fine till i started using the blueant. i thought it was the blueant, but now the jawbone is not workin.

When I charge my battery there is no way of telling when it is complete or not (my old phone use to say it on the screen when it was complete).

Has anyone else noticed this with the Dare or does yours say charge complete when it's done?

I want to replace my Ipod Nano with the dare, and one thing I do is listen to music while running.

When I got the nano I bought an armband specially designed for it. However, there does not seem to be one specially designed for the dare. There is a generic one on verizon's website, but I don't think that would actually work for what I want.

Are there any games available for the Dare? I think the ones I have on my LG 8600 won't work on the Dare because of the Dare's touch screen and different layout.

anyone tried any? i downloaded "are you smarter then a 5th grader" and its awesome. its very fast, and the game works great with the touch screen. i really want a game to take advantage of the accelorometer

Does anyone know how to add "GMail" to the "Mobile Email" application under the "Browse & download" menu? It only has Yahoo, AOL, MSN and Verizon.net. Is this even possible. I know I can acces it through my bowser regulary, but I would preffer through the Moblie Email.

I have AT&T and iphone but my Dad had Verizon and LG Dare. He just got the phone this week and here on phone scoop it say that the phone had PC SYNC, so I hook it up to the computer and then try to sync with contacts in outlook and I dont have any options on the phone to do this, so I call verizon and they tell my the only way to do this is to buy a $20 a month subscription to so kind of service and I tell them noway. Is this true can you really not sync verizons top phone with outlook with out pay to do so? If this is true I will just tell him to cancel and go with ATT and iphone,my iphone is so much nice and easyer to use and I can make ring tone for it as well with out having to pay to get them on the phone. When I go to text, the default number that shows up is the home one, not the mobile one.

Is there a way to set the mobile one as the default?

does the dare have an audible missed call alert setting that i'm not finding? so far if i miss a call, i don't know until i actually look at the phone, and when i'm busy that could be a while!

I have read the reviews and am very impressed. The main thing I want to verify is the voice and earpiece quality. Can you comment on this.

I use Grandcentral for all my telephone needs. How easy is it to use GrandCentral with the Dare?

For those who don't know about GrandCentral, you have to press 1 to accept the call on that phone (you can set up other phone numbers and all will ring with the call).

So how hard is it to push the number 1 when accepting an incoming call?

well im looking to purchase this phone sometime soon. But i just wanted some feedback and wanted to hear what i should do/ I currently have the envy, is the dare better??

I currently own an LG VX9800 and it's upgrade time. While I loved the phone I hated having to tap down repeatedly or hold the keypad button down just to scroll down while reading emails or web pages. How does scrolling on the Dare work. I was also looking into the Blackberry 8330 and I like the easy of the ball for scrolling.

Hello - I'm a new Dare owner and really like the phone. I was curious if anyone has found a way to view the calendar, while on the phone. I think this would be convenient to confirm appts.

I can get to the main menu, but I don't see a calendar option. I also am not certain if you can customize the main menu, besides just moving the icons around.

1- When the screen is off, I have to touch the buttons to get the screen to light up again. I can't figure out how the heck to change that setting so I can just touch the screen. Help?

2- Does anyone else have trouble scrolling through long text messages? The scrolling works fine everywhere else. It just won't let me scroll through long texts. Is that a phone issue?

3- Is there a way to change the menu items at the bottom of the main screen?

4- When using the browser, how to I change it back and forth from full internet to HTML?

5- How do I change the email notification settings? My phone buzzes every time I get an email and it's starting to drive me insane! :-)
