I've had this phone since August and i haven't had any issues with the keypad cracking, I actually bought my wife the w580i in may and it hasn't had any keypad cracking issue either :D .
On another note... the screen on my w760i has malfunctioned out of nowhere, here's what happend:
I made a call it lasted about 2minutes, i closed the slide, then opened it back up to make another call and bam my screen is all messed up, it looks as if is cracked but there is no sign of damage on the exterior of the phone. Very wierd :? , I did get a square trade warranty on it when I got it, but went through the 1 year manufacturers warantee instead. SE tried to tell me that they couldn't rma the phone initially because it wasn't set to be released in the US market yet. I had to prove I bought it from a US vendor b4 they would rma it. It is now in transit to their rma repair facility via DHL, I've been given a projected 2 week return window once received by them that is.
Other than that i love the phone, IMHO the w580i's ringtone speaker is louder than this one, a little bit of a let down. The screen is bigger than the w580i's.
The one thing i really can't stand is that the themes u put on the phone do not change the menu unless they came packaged with the phone, the BG image changes and the colors within the menu's change to reflect the theme but the actual icons and how they are highlighted on the main menu don't change at all. This was one of the main perks I bought this phone for and it was a big let down.
I might do a review of this thing but that'll be once i recieve my repaired model.
in the mean time if anyone has any specific questions I'd be willing to lend my experience with it to answer them.

ok mr evilhomer i can no longer listen to the nonsense you are spouting....i just had an Iphone 3G..note that i said "had", now while i found the device to be physically well made the softeware was buggy to an infinite power...the reception was even worse...and the plan well it was costing a lil more than my friends verizon wireless blackberry...It is well known that Att's 3g network...while improving lil by lil is still quite sub par...now as far as wow factor the Iphone has it by the truck load thats true..but still is missing very basic things that you can get on a free phone (ie..mms..) and several features that should be available on a phone of this caliber..(ie..copy n paste..teathering..a camera w/a flash...etc)...Ok so while i agree that verizon has no phones to compete with it right this moment..its coming...all hail the STORM...the iphone killer.,..everything the iphone is missing and then some...
