The ONLY way I would get the TP is if I absolutely needed to have windows mobile over blackberry. I personally do not, and most companies standardize on BB, not WM.

The touch pro doesnt even have a freakin acceleromter! ridiculous.

And my roommate has the sprint touch pro and every night he already complaining about how the damn thing freezes up or cant do something that its supposed to do.

Bottom line. Get the storm.

All HTCs that I am familiar with do that. This would be the 6700, 6800 and 6900. I am embarrassed to admit that I own the 6900. I use it for tethering mainly. But often I have to remove the damned battery from it and replace it.

I have no idea what the "requirements" are but yeah, you should get one. I'm not sure there's any advantage to having a private sale pass. I can't imagine they're turning anyone away from the store.

sorry, the private sale rumor is a mix up after a promotional mailer went out for different phones.

On a side note, I got to use the Storm today and it is definitely an interesting phone. I will probably be getting one.

The pre-launch on the 20th will be for certain customers that have either registered online or are vip customers that have received the promotional flyers. They will be able to come into the store before it opens on the 20th and demo the phone and order it then.

I am very interested in buying this phone asap, I am a vip customer and am wondering how I would be able to take advantage of this. I am in Phoenix if that helps anyone. Thanks for all your advice.

Contact your local store to find out when they will start selling them.The stores maybe opening up 1hr early to sell the phone. You can also order online or contact customer service they can order it for you.

This must be a separate promotion outside of the private sale flyer that featured the env2, voyager, etc. That one had nothing to do with the storm, though the storm was featured on it.

Its probably an instore only promotion. No pre-orders on the storm unless something changed since yesterday.
