Us Cellular in Nebraska.

I hope US Cellular is going to improve their service in Nebraska. Our carrier used to roam on alltel in nebraska and had great service, but now they chose to put us on US Cellular, and service is not so great any more. Basically if you go north out of Norfolk on 81 to hwy 20 and head towards sioux city, you have weak signal and dropped calls all the time, where alltel, had full signal pretty much all the way to the hills on hwy 20. I know this area is not a big population area, but they are 2 major highways for nebraska and US Cellular does not have them covered very well, need a lot of improvement. Note...I am thinking of switching to US Cellular, but when I have areas that I goto and the service is bad when my carrier is roaming on them, now I am thinking twice about switching. Anybody know if USCC is planning on fixing the problem, or are they going to let stay this way?

Just a note- Do call AND email AND write Verizon in a short precise letter about this type of problem. I believe that it has an effect on these type of problems. It has for me. Several years ago VZW had temporarily downgraded a site to analog, in plans to try and cover an area with other cells. It really killed service in a rather tony part of town. I was able to get the info from a tech what was going on, and stirred the stick, and got several others to do so before it was too late. That site was re enabled, working and flawless in 3 days. I guess the lease on the land was up and the $$'s was going to be too high! Now we have great coverage, where AT&T, T-Mobile and sprint don't.

True - MMS does not function as usual, you need to attach it to a email and send it. Note: Stability can be increased by opening the task manager in the system tools folder and manually killing programs you are not using at the time. If you simply back out of a program, it will stay running in the background and of course too much running the system locks.

mpd2434 said: I purchased my Env 9900 with the purpose to use the Chaperone feature through Verizon to keep a check on my daughter. I called Verizon and the tech stated the Chaperone feature only works with two lower end phones and no others at this time. If that's the case why do they advertise it on most of their phones? Does anyone use this feature? All you neeed is two phones on Verizon and a computer. You sign up for Chaperone service online (or over the phone) and have to have a "Parent" device to intall the software on, as well as the "Child" device. :paranoid: Install the "Chaperone Parent" on one phone and "Chaperone" on the other device. It's in the "Tools on the Go" section of Get It Now. Note, For the GPS to work, you need to have "Location On" in the "Phone Settings" menu all the time on the child device. /;|
