Motorola RAZR2 V8

Im currently on my 7th replacement phone. My phone continues to lock up when trying to check missed calls or text messages. I have to take the battery out and put it back in to solve the issue. This happens about 3 times a day. T Mobile has been useless in trying to help me with this. Has anyone else had this problem. I've had the sim card replaced. Only thing i haven't tried is getting a new battery. Any help would be greatly appreciated. A side from this i love the phone. Thanks in advance. 👿

So is this phone able to display txt messages on the external screen or is this a feature only available with the V9m?

I just ordered an unlocked V8 from the Motorola web site and when I check the specs it says that it has a Micro SD card slot. I know that it has been stated by many that there is no memory card slot, so why is it listed in the specs? Motorola ia going to have a lot of angry customers. Also, does the phone come with the data cable & software? It isn't listd. Other sites have it listed. Thanks in advance!!

does this phone have a lag when you text fast like the rizr or the w490? i really want to get it but if it has the lag then ill look somewhere else

On the motorola site it says that the unlocked version has 512 MB. I thought it was supposed to have 2GB. Is the motorola site wrong?

I just upgraded from my unbranded razr v3 to a razr2v8 on t-mobile, and forgot how crippled t-mobile makes their phones.

I'm thinking of using the 14-day t-mobile return policy and paying the extra $179 from motorola's site instead.

Does anyone have experience with both versions? Can you list the differences?

In particular, can someone confirm whether the unbranded razr2v8 has the following features (that I lost in the upgrade from my v3):
- ability to set wap home page
- ability to turn off text autocomplete by default
- ability to set custom web session for Java apps

Are there any features that the t-mobile version has that the unbranded one doesn't?

When typing out a SMS message i HATE how the 'cancel' button is the same button that turns into the 'send' button. So if im not paying attention, i will type out an entire message, then reach for send instinctively, only to erase everything I have typed because 'cancel' has not turned into 'send' yet. What a horrible software design. This is the only phone I have had that does this. Is this common with Motorolas?

Went to VZW and saw the V9M. It will allow you to have a different wallpaper on the inside and outside. The V8 and V9 from US Cellular and AT&T will not do this.

Will the T-Mobile V8 allow this?

What were they thinking?

I've heard alot about this version of the V8, and that it differs a little bit from the world version sold on eBay, and other GSM markets around the world. Things like,...
1). It is Navy Blue, as compared to the Charcoal Grey color on the world version.
2). It has the CrystalTalk feature that is on the V9.
3). That it WILL have 2GB of storage, and that we don't have to take the chance of buying one with 512MB like some of the world versions of the phone.
I don't know these as facts, and that is why I'm hoping that somebody who picks up this phone on Monday, or even has a chance to get a detailed look at it will respond to this thread and tell myself and others the differences between this phone, and the V8 version currently being sold (i...

Just got of the phone with a Tmobile rep. The v8 will be comming out on october 15 and is the 2gig version price is 300 with 2 year contract 🤤 🤤 🤤 🤤

Somebody has to have some more info on this one. It doesn't even have that it's coming to a specific carrier yet. I'm anxious...lol.

Did anyone else notice that the talk time for the V8 is listed at 8.33 hours!? Is that a typo? The V9m and V9 are both listed between 3 and 4 hours talk time, 8.33 hours is HUGE!

Anyone know when this is actually going to be available for tmobile? It says july 07, but i dont see it listed on tmobile website as available yet.

how do I make a call using voice tags on the V8?

I was really curious about the background light on the keys. Is it still the same blue color as before or something different? Also, how is the battery life on the phone?
