un-helpful help desk

*grumble* This is the first time it's ever happened, so I'm shocked and angry. I called the help desk and got yelled at. Just because I didn't understand what they were saying and asked for clarification. A little explanation. Some professional courtesy. I give it and I really like to get it in return. They're supposed to be on my side. *grumble sigh*

This is so wrong...

I don't like my job as it is but due to the increase of call volume due to iPhone they added an extra 2 hours mandatory to my shift every day next week.

"Customer Not Welcome In Our Store"

from a note on an acct left by a store rep:

"Cust wanting to do 30-day exchange, edu him that he has water damage. cust became angry, told us to 'suck his 6a11s' and refused to get a replacement thru insurance. cust was upsetting other customers, he was escorted out. cust not welcome in our store; he needs to take his business elsewhere.'

My AM was FURIOUS when she saw this note and is currently filing a ticket on the ELID that posted it. So y'all have been warned; be discreet in your choice of words. It may be hilarious, but management does not like it.

Funniest call ever

So my friend writes a number on my whiteboard and says, "Look up this account and tell me what's wrong with this. The guy called and asked me where his iphone is." So I go to my billing system, type in the number and it pulls up a business account. I open the account, and guess what corporation it's listed as............Apple, Inc.? HE WORKS FOR APPLE AND WANTS TO KNOW WHERE HIS IPHONE IS?!?! I don't know, sir, why don't you tell me? ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ

Told him I can't change the pricing and can only match the current price.... "well then you need to match the price that was offered last week when the site was down and I couldn't get into my account to order the phone." DUDE... SERIOUSLY, you couldn't log into the account, but you were offered a free phone for a line that you just upgraded 3 months ago????

Letter

(Not really meaning to be rude)

Dear Customer,
If you really wish to compare your current service w/ all the other service providers saying that there better than us... then pay your etf, final bill, and port over to that carrier cause we not only want to hear that, we'er not going to give you free services and free phones/devices just cause you want to compare. As soon as you leave us and go to another company, your going to find the policy is very similar.

thank you very much
and have a good day

P.S.

Could this day get any worse?

First, I get pulled over by Rio Rancho's finest on my way to work this morning (I was not the one driving) and given a citation for 114.00 for improper restraints (I had my seatbelt tucked under my arm so it wouldn't hurt my neck). This made me late to work, so I got half an occurance for being 5 minutes late. Then I find out that none of us got commission on this paycheck and anyone who made less than 200.00 in commission (I missed the cutoff by 7.50) has to wait until next paycheck to get the commission. At which point it will probably all be taken in taxes because I will be in a higher tax bracket. And to top it all off, I've been here since 10 and only have 6 sales. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Don't call me!

Why are people so retarted?!?!?!?! I hate when customers call in to ask a couple questions and then tell me they're going to go into a store! If you're going to bother me you can wait for your phone! Go into the store first! Don't even bother calling me! ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Hang ups

Do any you get weary with customers asking tons of questions and then hanging up when they don't get the answer they like?

I'm so amazed at how many people hang up on me every day and I consider myself to give awesome customer service with a great attitude but I'm just getting eary of the hang ups. At what point in time did people become blatantly rude?

No Sir

Cust "My phone keeps shutting off when I hit the buttons on the front"

Me " Alright let me look at it and we will pull up your account too to see what your options are"

Cust " It is less than a year old"

Me "Ok (Inspecting phone)...do you know if you have insurance on this phone?"

Cust " No we don't but it should have a warranty right?"

Me "Yes, however this phone has obviously been chewed on by a large animal, which is not covered by the warranty"

Cust " Yeah but you know accidents happen to these phones"

Me " Yup and that is what insurance covers"

How Far Is Too Far?

Me: Have you taken your phone into the store yet? What did they say?

Cust: I can't take it to the store! It's an hour and a half each way.

Me: *looking up the nearest stores* My that is a long way. Let me see if there might be a repair store closer to you.

Cust: It's an hour and a half away! And I don't have a car! And IT'S HOT OUTSIDE.

I found the nearest corporate repair store. It is slightly less than 10 miles from the cust's home address.

Me: Ma'am, I did find a corporate repair store quite close to you. It's in ____, PA. About 10 miles from your house?

Cust: Do you know how far 10 miles is?

Me: About 10-15 minutes away, ma'am, depending on the speed limit in that area.

Cust: I don't have a CAR! And it's HOT OUTSI...

Free phones with no debit or credit card

So..imagine this scenario. You go into Wal-Mart and load up your buggy with tons of stuff and after the teller runs the total up for you and asks for your method of payment, you give a strange look and tell him/her that you don't have a debit or credit card and don't have any cash.

Why is it that the same people who know better than to go to a store to try this have no problem trying the same thing over the phone. They typically want the most expensive phones and service and then sound suprised when I ask for a debit or credit card. Inevitably, I send them to our no cc department ans received a note within several minutes to let me know that the customer had poor/no credit(or as our politically correct employees would say, they are "bu...
