Not meant to offend

I have a few Nigerian customers. Some of the guys are just absolutely beautiful but here lies the problem. Out of the 7 or 8 of them, they are all SO rude. I mean every one of them and I have no idea why. It does not matter how nice I am, they are just angry and talk down to me. Any insite as to why?

GRRRR

I'm a guy. I know I'm not the girl with the big chest who used to be here all the time, but the owners of the company felt I was a good enough employee to put me in the position I have. I DO KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO PHONES AND ACCESSORIES!!!! I put forth the extra effort to understand my product and to make sure I'm selling someone what they want and need. I'm not just selling what I need to get rid of. Unfortunately, most of the dirty redneck morons in my area only care about the big knockers and not about getting a good product. After they buy a crappy phone because of the knockers, they come back to me and complain. When I won't trade the phone in because they've had it for 2 months, talked for 54 hours, and cra...

How to tell a customer your not helping them again?

Have any of you had to refuse service to a customer? I had this customer today...(and I know I should shake it off but I can't) First he throws his phone on my desk and says he got it wet. So then I check his account and he's not eligible for any kind of discount (he just got one) the cheapest phone is 99.99. I try to tell him where to get a cheaper phone, but he's not interested. So he throws a fit and wants to talk to a manager. I tell him sure but she is going to tell him the same thing. Throws travelers checks at me and says fine he'll take it. Tells me he should be eligible for a discount since he works for the military. That's great, I'm glad you're fighting for this country but you are not fighting for the right to treat other people ...

F#ck!!! Yeah, screw being nice...

👿

I have had it with some customers. One in particular...

I knew this customer from the get-go. He came from Nextel to VZW and brought 6 lines with him. I spent a great deal of time "selling" him on VZW, giving him the run down on his first bill, then explaining it to him when it actually arrived (he still had no idea). Anyway, all was great. Keep in touch (very small town here in Pasadena MD).

So one day he needs to make an insurance claim. No problem, I set him up with a loaner and made him fill out the loaner agreement we have as back up (incase the customer screws up the phone we lent them). No problems there. He returns and even refurs more customers to me. Even better!

Now on to the real issue...

He comes in again...

Just stating the obvious.....

Just want to share a story or two about some customer interactions. Since this forum is going to **** with crap like which state is better and so-and-so should be president, I figured this could help ease the boredom.

I had a call today with a fairly older man asking my why his wife cannot upgrade like he just did. I look at his profile and see he just completed an upgrade in early April and I was more than happy to see why.

Well, turns out they made an exception for being "such a good customer" of 2 years 🙄 and decided to give his line only a standard upgrade. When I explained that I can only give his wife an exception upgrade he gets pissed and states I am wrong and I better check. He said he wants the same phone he got on his...

My gosh!!

I just had a customer call questioning her text messaging charges. The customer had 243 text messages on a pay per use basis. I offered the customer a package to save her a little bit of money. Her response was no I only use it to text the show Deal or no Deal. 😳 So then a few minutes later she asks me what these other charges are for, these smh things billed at $.99 each. My reply, "Oh yeah, those. Well remember when you said you only text deal or no Deal? Yeah well thats the added charge stated in the fine print of the show. Yes I know there are 243 of them. Did you at least win?"

I'll just go to Verizon

The customer called the wrong number, he needed a business account. I simply have no access to business numbers. I'd be happy to help him get to the correct department but it's physically impossible for me to do ANYTHING for a business account with my system.

His Response?

"I'll just go to Verizon." What? I offered to get you to the correct department but because you called the wrong department you're throwing a fit?

How Many Times?

So how many times do I have to say "Only Customer Care can handle that problem." Before it sinks in? It's not twenty, because he kept rephrasing the question to try and convince me that I really could do something about his handset upgrade. I can't. No amount of yelling or demanding a supervisor is going to change the fact that you need to call care.

I don't think she knew...

I don't think my last caller actually knew who or what she was calling, she really didn't seem to realize that she had called a mobile phone company, thought we did land lines because she kept asking about when were we coming out to install her line. She was very sweet just extremely confused.

We finally got her straightened out and looked up a local utilities company for her to call (I didn't feel like telling her to consult her phone book, that's probably how she got to me in the first place) I guess I don't mind so much but it does still count against my call volume. At least she was sweet about it.

Verizon Charges for Local Calls on Landlines

Dial-up provider loses Net access amid fee dispute

Ruling favoring Verizon may hike price of service

By Keith Reed, Globe Staff | April 28, 2006

Service to thousands of dial-up Internet users in Massachusetts was disrupted this week after a federal court ruled against a Quincy company in a lawsuit that could have broad impact on the cost of dial-up service.

The US Court of Appeals in Boston ruled April 11 that Verizon Communications Inc. can charge per-minute fees for calls to local numbers that dial-up users need to connect to the Internet -- in much the same way that they charge for long-distance or other calls.

The ruling came after Verizon sued Global NAPs Inc., a Quincy company that supplies local number...

if you werent such a d!ck about it...

I would have fru'd you razr with the ONE we had in store with the original software, flashed your original phone with the new one before shipping it out. I would have even put in an OC&C for your ringers and wallpapers. but no, you had to whine and cry like a little b!tch, scream at my manager, and get escorted out of the store.

background story: (this wasn't my customer, this belonged to a newb we are training) customer stated phone would freeze/reset on him speraticly. Told him we could flash the phone to resolve the issue, but the new software would change the outside display settings (the outside display will have an orange background rather then the wallpaper). He starts complaining about just getting the phone swapped. We tell him, ...

you don't have to be smart to have a cell

My buddy that works for Eckards in the photo dept. came by today. He said that he had a customer get pissed at him because he did not deliver the pictures that he dropped in the night deposit box last night. He said sorry but we have no records of you leaving film here. the customer said " I could not find where the film goes so I just put the whole PHONE in the slot". Funny thing is that
that happends at least once a day there.

---- I am happy to announce today is my LAST day working for T-Mobile, and my VERY last day in this industry. I will NEVER, and I repeat NEVER, work in this industry again. I will be managing a Journeys Shoe store instead of slangin' "Crack-berries" to the yuppies.

I hope your jobs continue to be fulfilling and keep up the good work!

How Do I get out of My Contract?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask the professionals (you guys) who work in the business how I can get out of my contract without paying the ETF. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my service or phone, but to be honest I just want something new. Frankly, I can find a better deal elsewhere also. I have no problems with telling little white lies about it, but I will not be rude to the service rep. I know its wrong and all that but I'm sure one of you guys know exactly what I should say to get out of it. Thank you very much!
