rude call center customers

I'm sure retail and call centers both have their share of rude..But let me tell you..There is nothing more anoying than trying to explain something to a customer and they continue to interupt you..Also, when you finally do get to assist them and problem is solved..You go to offer further assistance and before you can get it out they hang up on you 👿 ERRRRRRR!!!!!!! how about some common courtesy????I did help you,,,I was very patient the whole time you wouldn't let me speak...I did solve your problem....Nasty, Nasty, Nasty......Oh yea,,,A year and a half on our service does not make you a loyal customer when you continually pay late..and no you cannot have a free phone without renewing your contract

just lost a sale

so had a customer in here, wanted to switch nextel to sprint due to dropped calls (surprise surprise). So i told her no problem and went to look up her account. Well she had an upgrade price restriction meaning she'd have to pay full price for any of the phones. Of course she didnt want to pay that, and I have had this problem before and got our help desk to change the restriction to none to keep the customer. So i tried to call in and get this done for her, I got transferred 5 times and each person told me that it was impossible.

She decided to try and call customer care herself and see what they would say. She also ended up getting transfered a bunch of times and was getting pissed because it had been way over an hour already. So she ...

Too funny!

Customer: "I need a new sim card"

Me: "Ok did you lose yours?"

Customer: "No, I um...threw it away"

Me: "Why did you throw it away"

Customer: "Well at the time it made sense but now I don't want to say because you will laugh at me"
(her boyfriend is cracking up behind her and she keeps slapping him...gently to shutup)

Me: "Oh c'mon now I gotta know!"

Customer: "I threw it away because it said it was full"

Me: (giggling) "You poor thing, you lost all of your numbers now"

Customer: "I did?! Oh damn"

Her boyfriend laughing was cracking me up and by the time she was walking out the door she was laughing and so was my staff. Poor girl!

If given the choice...

sell pot or phones? I seemed to have made more money, shorter hours, and less rude people when I dealed on colfax and broadway. on average 2-300 a day, tax free, sunshine, talking to nice (albeit homeless and insane) people.

Pissed off elderly

Why are they so mad? And why must they curse at me.

Grandma, it's not very becoming up you when you say "This is f*cking bullsh*t!"

I told her that what she wanted to do would be quite expensive and it'd be better to do it a different way. She cussed me out seven ways from Sunday and left. I tried to give her the phone back and she said "I don't want that sh*t!" and left.

And that's not the only elderly person that's bitched me out today... is there a shortage on depends lately?

Least Favorite Phone

Another questions.

What is your least favorite phone to sell... or to have a customer ask for. Why?

Such as... I HATE the RAZR... I dislike having people even ask about the RAZR and it's pricing because as a rule they almost always want it free and want me to bend over backward for them... or if they don't they have horrible credit and no credit card. The RAZR is my least favorite phone we sell.

You People.....

does this phrase make anyone else cringe? I hate it when anyone says "you people". It sounds so..........superior and dismissive.

i really dont get it

i dont understand, i really dont, have some people have $200-300 to put down a phone, $500 depoist to get that expensive phone, and get every feature they can get and NOT put insurance, AND then come back and have the JEWELS to complain about having to pay full price for a phone, (tru story guys)

about week ago, customer comes in and wants the t809, they know what plan, features and so forth they want, i was like great, easy sale, so i run credit, bamm $500 deposit, i was mad on the inside, i told the customer about the deposit and they were like i know, i still want the phone, thats great!, now the customer pays almost $950 on the spot, for the phone and accs, their bill is gonna come out to about 80-90 a month cause of all the add ons, ...

another greta one..

Guy comes in who used to be a customer who went down the road to a store who closed like they all do within a year. He comes in with a broken v180 out of warranty with 10 months left on contract. I give him prices on phones outright and hes stunned. Not to mention he left us to save a nickel. He then has the balls to ask me to loan him a phone till the contract is up cause he used to be a customer here and his friend is a customer here. What is wrong with "YOU PEOPLE".(always wanted to say you people)

Another one that happens daily is a women came in with a v551 with no antenna and is a customer for a number of years with us. I put on a new antenna and tell her $10. She then asks if the ownwer is here and i go to get him and sge says to h...

Great for sanity, bad for business

So it's a nice sunny beautiful Saturday. Nobody is in the mall. Only got 1 phone out in the past 7 hours, but it's nice to not have infuriating people in my store. I had some guys try to get me to lower some prices, but they weren't doing it rudely, they were joking, and I actually discounted a car charger for them because they were nice. 🙂

Not open yet!

Why do people show up an hour before the mall even opens, when all the lights aren't even on yet, and all the gates for every store are pulled down, and go around banging on all the gates yelling, "YOU OPEN YET!?" Had someone here 45 minutes before open this morning. Yes ma'am I'm actually open. I just put the gate down because I assume people can walk through solid objects, just like I can. I like crack cocaine! Love when people ask "What time y'all open?" and I say, "The mall opens at 10am." Then they reply, "What time does Y'ALL open though?" Then I say, "The same time as the mall." And they reply,"And what time would that be?!".............................

THANK GOD!

5 minutes to close. Just had someone walk in who speaks no english, and I speak no spanish, other than 'Yo tengo trente penes,' which isn't too helpful in most situations. Thankfully, they heard the announcement that the mall is closing and they left. Most of the time people walk in 5 minutes after close if I forget to pull down the gate or something. I'm in the middle of counting money and they take about 20 minutes of my time asking all kinds of questions and then tell met hey are just looking. lol. I hate gate-crashers. Actually had a guy lift up the gate once and walk under it. I asked in a really angry voice, "Can I help you with something?!" And he was like, "Just looking." I told him we were closed and he asked why the lights were stil...

CHEAPSKATE

i am dealing with a lady sitting right in front of me who is complaining about not being able to use her RAZR because ehr charging port is messed up, telling me we should credit her for service and the whole 9 yards, which we are willing to do.

The Rep w/ lockline offered her express shipping for the 7.50, and she turned it down!

she's complaining about how much of a heartache it is to not be able to call home, or talk to her kids, and it's just putting a general halt on her whole life, yet she is unwilling to spend an extra couple of bucks to resume her WHOLE LIFE.

Stupid RAZR. 👿

not really talkin shop, but........

I've been reading a book here at work recently (which is why I haven't really been posting), and i found it to be an excellent read. The book is called Shibumi and it was written by Trevanian in 1979. It's a really good book. Here are some exerpts:

a man is happiest when there is a balance between his needs and his possessions. Now the question is: how to achieve this balance. One could seek to do this by increasing his goods to the level of his appetites, but that would be stupidl. It would involve doing unnatural things - bargaining, haggling, scrimping, working. Ergo? Ergo, the wise man achieves the balance by reducing his needs to the level of his possessions. And this is best done by learning to value the f
